Très propre et super animation

There is very little entertainment outside the hotel and visitors must know that they may be stuck in the hotel and on the beachfront in order to have fun.
Food is great tho.
I wish to highlight some important points concerning our stay at Maritim Crystal on the 28-29 July 2024. We had a very disappointing moments there.
Very poor hygiene, unpleasant smell in toilet, dirty room, bath tub was dirty, my husband was blocked in the toilet as the handle was broken, no towels.. The list is very long!
On the arriving day, we spend all our time to sort out issues regarding our rooms. My kids could not enjoy any facilities of the hotel on the first day. When they reached aqualand, it was closing time, they had only around 5 to 10mins there. Not more !

We missed the tea time on the arriving day because of all the problems we faced over there.
To add, the bed frame was smaller than the mattress, which caused back pain.
To note that my husband suffered from a very severe gastro the day we returned home, 30 July - 5 Aug 2024.
My kids also were not well since we returned from the hotel.
My elder daughter suffered from severe abdomen pain.
This was sooooo bad!
This was a waste of money!
I really hope you take into consideration & take necessary action.

We stayed in Mauritius for 3 weeks the first 2 weeks we stayed in Preskil Hotel, which was amazing. The last week we stayed at Maritim.
Staff could have been friendlier, the room was OK we did get family sea view but the trees were in the way but that is out of their hands. The first night we woke up to ants everywhere including my sons bed who then had to sleep on our bed for the remainder of the stay. We did tell reception to ask housekeeping to remove them which they did but not near his bed. ???? We didn't even use the bathtub but that was leaking.
We were a bit confused as when we were shown our room we were told that no jewelery or wallets should be on show and to put things like bags and purses away in the cupboard where the safe is otherwise housekeeping will not clean but that is contradicting themselves as when the mini bar gets filled the fridge is near the safe and cupboard where our bags are. I can't put my backpack in a safe.
It's like saying housekeeping can steal but mini bar person will not ????
Food was OK plates and cutlery need to go in the bin. I'm sure the owners can afford new ones.
The beach had to be cleaned every couple of hours with a tractor to clear the seaweed.
The glass bottom was boring.
I wouldn't spend money here again. Even heard two other families complain when we went to reception.
Mauritius is beautiful just make sure you choose a good hotel.

Only some things needed to improve, just maybe recruiting additional beach boys waiters so that when you are chilling on the beach no need to go and fetch drinks at the bar
Also for the buffet i wont say there are no variety there are varieties but every day it is almost the same maybe some changes in foods and also desserts there are not much varieties maybe some cheescakes or verrines or coconut flan or napolitaine or bluberries etc
And for breakfast maybe some change such as banana crumbles , tarte banane , some variety of cookies such as chocolate chip cookies , some croissant with cheese on top , maybe some fresh fruit juices instead of tropical juice everyday ...
And for dinner maybe some steaks , burgers fries , spaghettis , poulet trois merveile bol renverser, boulettes,sushis etc
I also noticed that kids menu are only about pasta pasta pasta .. i even saw some kids saying again pasta maybe there should be a change in that also maybe some burgers or some spaghettis
Thats all nevetherless it is a very nice hotel but just that there should be a change in the everyday menu as for those staying more than 2 days it might be monotone..
Sehr gute Küche mit zahlreichen Stationen von show cooking.
Leider so gut wie keine Zimmerreinigung. Daher nur 3 Sterne fürs Zimmer. Es geht den Reinigungskraften definitiv nicht ums Trinkgeld. Vielmehr ist es schlicht dem Personalmangel geschuldet. Das Trinkgeld wird erst abgeholt, wenn Sie einen Zettel wie bspw. -Thanks for housekeeping- beilegen.
Insgesamt ist das Hotel in die gehobene Mittelklasse fernab von dem Massentourismus einzuordnen. Wobei in der mauristischen Winterzeit generell niedrigere Auslastung zu beachten ist.
Le questionnaire de satisfaction du précédant client était resté dans notre chambre.
Les chambres sont à rénover, la lunette des toilettes trop petite pour le WC, la poussière autour du lit...
Un énorme problème avec les serviettes de plage qui ne sont jamais disponibles, j'y suis allée 6 fois en 2 jours, pas de serviettes le premier jour, le 2eme on m'a demandé de revenir dans 20min, puis une heure, puis 30 min... Nous avons eu que 3 serviettes pour 5, avec 2 enfants et un bébé et 2 adultes qui se baignent, c'est un peu léger.
Le dîner n'était pas super, peu de variétés. Le petit déjeuner et le déjeuner était pas mal, ainsi que les collations.
Le personnel est très serviable et souriant.
L'emplacement est très jolie, et les partie communes également.
Un manque de communication concernant l'inscription pour les activités, ce n'est pas indiqué et personne ne nous en informe si on ne demande pas à 3 personnes avant d'avoir la bonne information.
Bon séjour malgrés quelques couacs.
