Liked · Rooms were clean, spacious, well decorated. Soft loft style reminds me of my old apartment. Probably the best hotel I've stayed in in NYC.
Disliked · Walls are a little thin, gym is very bare bones. Shower head isn't ideal and not much counter space in the restroom. Neighborhood can be noisy; there was trash collection at midnight.

I shared a room with 2 friends, and the room had a sofa bed that was fairly comfortable. The hotel is so clean and the room very spacious. The location is not bad once you get to know your bearings, but there is no direct train from there to Manhattan (need to do 1 transfer) so just keep that in mind. The neighbourhood is safe, quiet and clean, away from the chaotic tourist scenes. Also there are a fair number of convenient stores nearby for late night drinks and snacks.

Wish I had had more time to enjoy. It had a real cool home vibe in a chilled neighbourhood. I felt safe.

This hotel was a terrible experience. As a frequent traveler for both work and personal reasons, I've stayed in various hotels, from major chains to boutique ones. Unfortunately, this one stands out negatively.
The location is inconvenient, situated in the middle of nowhere near a warehouse, requiring a taxi for even basic transportation. We reluctantly chose this hotel due to limited options for the NYC marathon.
The staff proved to be extremely rude, unprofessional, and engaged in discriminatory conduct. Upon arriving with my service dog, necessary for my disability, I faced unwarranted interrogation about my medical condition, violating ADA guidelines. At 2:00 a.m. on the eve of the marathon, they demanded we vacate the premises, with no on-site manager available.
The next morning, while on his way to run the NYC marathon, my husband received a call from a blocked number, who claimed to be the hotel manager. He refused to provide his name and phone number in an effort to intimidate him and threatened that if we do not leave the premises, he would contact the police.
Shortly after that call, I heard knocks on my hotel room at 7:30 am on a Sunday and two officers identified themselves. After providing them with proper documentation for my service dog, they confirmed my lawful presence and advised the hotel staff that they could not kick me out. Despite this, the ordeal left me distraught, and the staff's subsequent behavior, including a lack of apology, added to the negative experience.

Bathroom was an average size but nowhere to put toiletries at basin. Had a rain shower which was awful. Water trickled out and not user friendly if you’re not wanting to wash your hair. And when I did want to wash my hair, it took forever!! This really let the room down.
Unfortunately we could hear every step, every conversation, when they used the bathroom and in depth details of their physical relationship of the people in the room above. Just them walking to the bathroom in the night would wake us because of the wooden floor.
Hotel is in a quiet area of Brooklyn. 10 min walk to the Subway. No Direct subway to
manhattan, had to change which is time consuming. We found this ok in the morning, but after a day walking around Manhattan, we’d get a Lyft back to hotel from subway which cost around $10-15. Not much around hotel, nice park and few shops just up the road.
We would definitely stay here again when visiting New York. Not a great location but good price for New York and big rooms.
