I was not impressed. Basic room, weak shower, expensive and bland dinner. Crowded, so staff seems too busy. They forgot to wake me up for airport pickup.

Thank you, Amon, for your feedback, which is very helpful in helping us focus on improving the things that didn't impress you. However, there's no doubt Papyrus is basic; it's a Guesthouse after all. In the excitement of hosting full-house, it's unfortunate that our staff forgot to give you all the attention and wake you up. For that, we are terribly sorry, but it's not in our ethos for such mishaps.

The grounds of the hotel are filled with lush gardens one would not expect to find in the middle of a city. The staff were all extremely welcoming. The rooms, from my experience, were the run of the mill tourist hotel in Uganda. What I mean is that the hotel is probably much better than the standard hotel for the area, but many aspects are lacking. For one, the bathroom window would not close all the way, along with subpar beds. Overall, the place was a nice stay that I'd recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay for a short night.

Schönes Gästehaus in ruhiger und sicherer Lage 15min vom Flugplatz, grüner Garten mit Bar, Zimmer im Garten voll ausgestattet und ruhig, im Haupthaus unruhig und mit Sanierungsbedarf.

Der perfekte Start in unsere Uganda Rundreise. Nach der kurzen Anreise vom Flughafen (Ankunft mitten in der Nacht) wurden wir sehr herzlich empfangen. Sehr freundliches Personal und sehr gutes Essen. Saubere, zweckmässig eingerichtete Zimmer mit Veranda in grüner Umgebung sind bestens geeignet zum Akklimatisieren bevor die Rundreise beginnt. Am Ende der Rundreise haben wir hier wieder einen kurzen Aufenthalt eingeschaltet, bevor unser Flug um 4 Uhr morgens gestartet ist.

Sehr gute Lage zum Flughafen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und die Anlage gepflegt. Die Zimmer sind sauber und das Frühstück war reichlich

Nah am Flughafen und ins Stadtzentrum und zum Victoriasee.
Zum See und den Botanischen Garten kann man laufen.
Die Zimmer sind sauber und das Essen ist gut und das Personal freundlich.

We stayed two nights in this amazing guest house.The rooms were beautifully decorated in a traditional African style.
The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly always willing to assist in any situation.
The meals were delicious with fresh daily produce and very accommodating to various tastes.
We were highly recommend this fantastic guest house.
