Loved our stay here! The owner was super helpful, providing recommendations for things to do and giving us tips on public transit. The breakfasts were all delicious and the room was fairly clean (some dust/dirt on the floors) and cozy. The location is great since all parts of town are fairly accessible by bus or bike! Just had to be cautious walking at night, as with any city. Would absolutely stay here again.

The old house is in an awful location. Its a very dangerous walk to the main attractions. As soon as my brother and I walked in it smelled like cat pee. And the house seemed to be in a disorganized mess. Essentially there's no security for your belongings. And no proper lock on the room doors. The only assurance we had was the owner "doing this for 26 years". There is a safe in the room but that wasn't enough for me. The walk through and history given to us about the house was incredibly quick and vague. The owner was in a way rude to me and talked over me, called me by a different name. But for some reason he was more respectful of my brother, even though I'm the one that paid. I paid for us to stay in the larger room with the balcony, and that's the only way to get your own private bathroom in the house. There's no good view due to the location and the entire house you can feel is lop-sided while staying in that room. The small snack bar is available to all rooms and it was rarely replenished with a sufficient amount of coffee. The owner made a small breakfast for us but there's no organized system to it. The other bed and breakfasts I've stayed in have a slip you fill out and have a set time for each room. And the house needs to be updated severely. The owner I believe should take care to higher-out and have a team to help run the place sufficiently.

We stayed for 5 nights at the end of October.
The information received prior to arrival was exceptionally helpful.
Glen is a wonderful host. Very engaging and full of useful info on places to visit.
His home is around 30 mins walking from the centre of the French quarter and positively for us, away from the hectic nature of Bourbon St.
The home is a lovely old building, with period furniture. Lovely breakfasts.

We had a wonderful stay at the HH Whitney House. Glen was a very thoughtful host and ensured all guests had everything needed, including an amazing breakfast waiting for us and the other guests each morning. The home is beautiful and filled with unique history. I am definitely looking forward to returning!

We had a wonderful visit to New Orleans, and Glen's charming B&B was a huge part of what made our experience so special. I would definitely recommend it, and we will return every time we return to NOLA!
