I was in town for a conference held at another near by location. Their rooms were booked up so I stayed here. Overall a good choice. The staff all around was friendly and helpful. The lobby and rooms were fresh and modern. It was clean and comfortable. The room sizes were decent. They have water and ice stations in the hall use their provided glass bottle to fill your needs. Nice amenity. They had unique art work. Very colorful and vibrant. Who would have thought that a pic of a water box meter would find its way as artwork in a hotel room? lol.

Stayed there 3/23 - 3/27. Check your receipt before walking out the door. They charged me $180 parking when I did not have a car. Also charged $400 for a Saturday night....it was Spring Break, so prices are outrageous everywhere...fine....BUT the building across the street is under construction and they start at 6 AM, even on Sundays. Monday morning (March 25) they started dumping trash down the exterior metal chute at 6 AM (!!) and it went on for nearly 2 hours. It sounded like they were dumping bricks down this metal chute. IMPOSSIBLE to sleep with all that racket. So not worth $400 even though that rate was only for one night. I mentioned that at the front desk upon checkout and they were apologetic and I understood, completely out of their control. BUT when I saw the $180 parking fee later, I called back and decided to also complain about that outrageous room rate given all the noise. They promised a manager would call back....no call. Called the next day, same response. We'll see....and I'm a Diamond member of Hilton.

We were in town for a volleyball tournament where the hotel was selected for us. Aside from the really strange shower door opening, it was an amazing experience!!! The staff 100% makes this a 5 Star visit!! Attentive, available and very accommodating to our group!!! Thanks for your hospitality!!!

When my husband and I got there they apparently gave our room away and the only room available to us was a double bed. We tried to call numerous times prior to our visit that we would be there a bit late but nobody ever answered. Also some of the lights didn't work properly in the room.

As a frequent traveler, I've had my fair share of experiences with hotel bartenders, but none quite like the exceptional service provided by Corey at Canopy Hilton in NOLA, on our first night arriving on Friday March 8, 2024.

Despite the bustling atmosphere and the absence of additional staff, his unwavering patience, friendliness, and attentiveness left a lasting impression!

My friend and I ordered our food and drinks (which by the way were exceptional), more people arrived to order food and drinks, and despite being the sole staff member responsible for taking both drink and food orders, Corey handled the situation with grace and professionalism. He never once seemed flustered or overwhelmed, instead, he approached each customer with a genuine eagerness to assist.

Moreover, Corey went above and beyond to engage with customers, striking up conversations and creating a jovial atmosphere throughout the bar. His friendly banter and infectious energy were such a delight, transforming what could have been a stressful evening into an enjoyable experience.

Overall, my experience at Canopy Hilton’s downtown NOLA was definitely a highlight of my first time visiting NOLA, and further elevated by Corey's exceptional service. He is a true asset to the establishment, and I hope to have the pleasure of being served by him again in the future.

Finally, every staff member that I engaged with, from the front desk, to checking our bags while we explored the city (as we waited for our late departure flight) and additional bar staff truly exemplified what I hope to receive when I select any Hilton hotel, so this experience did not disappoint! Makes me proud to be a Hilton Gold Member and will continue to choose Hilton for the continued outstanding experience with staff!

This hotel front desk people are very impolite!! They will assign you an unavailable room (not finish house keeping work) and give you that room key. And the front desk didn’t give any apologies!! The only sentence she said is ‘I have no idea. It’s not my business.’ Very arrogance, discourtesy. You cannot imagine how disordered management this hotel has! Sooooo disappointed! Very angry with that!

The staff seemed very dismissive and not helpful. Had the store out bags as a room wasn't ready. Understandable as it was 10AM. But the hade me carryy own bags to a open conference room. I asked if they would secure the luggage. They said yes.

Went back to check in around 2PM ( guaranteed check in is 3PM) and were told the room was being cleaned and not ready yet. We said no problem we will wait in the lobby until it was ready. At 3:20.we asked about our room again and were told the guest staying in our room was given late check out and the room was still not clean. I said/ asked why they didn't say something and reminded them of the 3PM guarantee .

They quickly said hang on we have another room you can have.

Walked it and door handle on the bathroom was broken and the toilet seat was broken as well.
See photos.

The room felt dirty and the drawer cooler didn't work. Also the a/c barely worked.

It was just an awful experience in all

They did fix a few things but stay away from this property. There are better choices.

The major complaint is there is no refrigerator in the rooms, instead there is a chiller which is only useful for drinks and doesn't make them cold just cool. The rooms have a decent setup though some of the bathrooms can be very small. Staff was very friendly and responsive. I loved the hydration station on the floors with filter water and ice. Rooms were very clean and housekeeping was very responsive. The on-site restaurant had a very limited menu, Everything was good quality.

Nice hotel, close but far enough away from Bourbon St. and other New Orleans sites. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, and friendly staff.

Please be careful with valet parking. One of the valets took my dudes car at 5am for a spin & caught a speeding ticket! Good thing for the cameras picking it up because we would’ve never known!

My family and I were in town for my niece's Birthday. I will say a couple of good things about out the property. I do like the fact of how you have to use your key card to enter the building, and then you have to scan your key card to get on the elevator to go up to your room. Which I think is a good security measure for guests to stay safe. It is walking distance to most things convenient around it. However, if you need to go a little bit of further closer to a Riverwalk you might want to do Lyft/cab unless you really, really like to walk. Of course make sure you have comfortable walking shoes. There is a nice cozy restaurant on site at hotel, just check hours.

We had a great stay here! Very close walk to Smoothie King Center and Stadium!!
Very clean stay and staff was nice and helpful! Beds were very comfortable also!
I stayed in a regular room, only a small fridge and coffee maker, no microwave in room.
Large bathroom with lots of nice lighting!
Cute decor, overall great stay!
Note: I didn’t hear any loud construction as mentioned in other recent reviews.

Everything was solid. Staff, bar, hospitality. It may seem simple from the first look but they are quality. They give honest personal perspectives. And if you treat them right. They'll treat you right like people should. Its give and take. Plus the chef, im sorry i cant remember her name but damn woman can whip it. Hooked me up with delicious food and it fire. I will definitely definitely go again. But also you be rude and treat the staff all willy-nilly then you will receive that. These were solid and respectful people and i have nothing but the highest marks for them. Thanks to all yall and to the brotha at the desk overnight and the sista working the bar in the am. And the hostess in the evening. Yall made nola happen for me. Thank you i will be back.

My wife and I travel regularly. We’re usually in hotels every couple of weeks somewhere fun. Out of all the traveling we do all over the world, the Canopy by Hilton is easily the worst hotel experience we’ve ever had. This may be a great hotel on a normal day, but at the time I’m writing this review the building next door is under construction and massive construction noise starts at 7am if you’re lucky and it runs allllllllll day long. The building in question I’m guessing is about 20 stories tall. They’ve got a metal chute that they’re dumping debris through to the dumpster. It seems like huge chunks of concrete are hitting sections of the metal chute at each floor making a bone rattling amount of racket. It’s constant noise that is impossible to sleep through and makes it impossible to even enjoy being in your room. Management has told us that they’re not supposed to start making noise until 9am, but they seem unwilling to do anything about it. They know this is a problem. They should be documenting it and reporting it to the city. Instead, they’re letting all of their guests have a terrible experience. You can’t get into the elevator with a stranger without the conversation coming up about the awful noise. We’re here with a conference and everyone staying at this hotel is complaining about it. Not that they probably care, but this is certainly our last stay here. We will stay anywhere else in New Orleans to avoid this in the future. I do not recommend staying here.

Great people and rooms and bar area. But, this hotel is located up and off a long block of Canal. If you want French Quarter, get closer. However, if you're doing other things in N.O., great place to stay.
