My girlfriend and I booked this hotel for our anniversary. Unfortunately she got Covid and we had to cancel. The Hotel Monteleone refused to refund or credit ANY of the $1700 cost and the manager hung up on her as she was in tears asking for assistance. I'm offended at how poorly we were treated by this hotel. I expect better service at any price, but especially from a luxury hotel

A Summary - Honeymoon

1. Absolute superb staff and services. Maids are very quick, efficient and organized. Doormen and Bellmen are very friendly and helpful. Concierge is very helpful with booking activities and other services. The restaurant and bar staff are friendly and quick.

2. Fantastic location in the French quarter, you are in close proximity of several restaurants and bars. As well as fine art galleries, antiques and gift shopping.

3. The Rooms are luxurious, clean and a great view of the city. We stayed in the Iberville Tower.

4. The Carousel Bar is absolutely fantastic and the bartenders are awesome! Shoutout to Will!

5. The restaurant has a fantastic menu for all 3 meal periods. Highly suggest their beignets with praline sauce!

Overall, a perfect place to stay to experience NOLA.

Unless you are going to a conference being hosted at this hotel, do not let them put you on the 2nd floor. But when we complained, they did move our room. BUT we did have to move our belongings. Other Luxury Hotels we have stayed in have moved our belongings for us

I would 10/10 recommend this hotel. The location was great. The employees were so friendly and helpful. The hotel is beautiful and impeccably maintained. The only downside was how busy it is because it is such a great spot!

My absolutely favourite hotel during our 8 days and 4 hotel stay in the deep south. We stayed 2 nights at this hotel, and were part of a 48 person tour group all staying and travelling together. Hotel staff were courteous and efficient and I enjoyed my interactions with them. When our group arrived after a long journey from Buffalo, we were greeted with cookies and lemonade in a private room.

The hotel is gorgeous and I took lots of photos. Lots of pieces of historical artifacts and beautiful decor. Our room was amazing, we had a king bed, beautiful colours, very comfortable and we enjoyed the smart lighting.

The location is perfect, with a short walk to Bourbon Street and lots of places to check out. Lots of food and music options nearby, a really nice vibe!

We had 2 breakfasts included in our package, which I heard were very expensive. The food was tasty, plentiful and came out in good time.

The room was equipped with several toiletries, which was appreciated.

I would highly recommend this hotel based on the historic vibe, location, decor, comfort and service, great job to all!!!

After our first stay a year ago, we eagerly anticipated our return to the The Hotel Monteleone. We would not consider staying anywhere else now. The history, legacy, location, and staff are exemplary. I love the ambience of the hotel, which I might add, is maintained meticulously. As a Facility Manager, I notice the small details, and this Hotel passes with flying colors. The Lobby is comfortable and inviting, and a perfect place to just sit and watch the hustle and bustle of a 5 star hotel in action.
We must mention the wonderful service provided by Chris at the Front Desk; our outstanding Housekeeper, Reina; and Doorman, Duane.
We love the Carousel Bar and Lounge, and maybe one of these years we'll actually get a seat at the Carousel Bar! (It opens at 11am, with a line waiting, and seems to never have an open seat. It deserves the popularity. One last thing, the Hotel is in a prefect location within the French Quarter, and is easily walking distance to two of our favorite restaurants, Cafe Fleur de Lis on Chartres for Breakfast, and Deanie's for Dinner on Iberville. Also, a 5 minute bus ride (from Canal St.) to the National WWII Museum, a must see! See you in '25!

Honestly would have been great had not for 1 night the alarms went off and forced everyone on our floor to evacuate and not use the elevator. Mind you we were on the 15th floor so it took a while to get down those stairs.
As safety comes first I wasnt upset about this happening until it kept happening all night. Once at 12:30ish, again at 4:30ish and again at 7:30ish. I didnt get any sleep that night.

If I could give this place 100 stars I would. I've stayed all over the world in some of the finest hotels, this one tops the list! From the moment you walk in you feel like royalty from the beauty of the hotel itself and the exceptional staff you'll never want to check out. The suite we had was beautiful and housekeeping was impeccable. Management was superb and even when I thought there was an issue which was my mistake and not theirs they went out of their way to ensure I was satisfied. I would definitely come back here and stay every time! The carousel bar was just so much fun and the food was delicious! If you haven't stayed here you are missing out on one of the finest experiences you may ever have!

This hotel is overrated poor customer service I don’t recommend staying here. Room service food cold twice. The famos
Carousel bar is a joke is too small. It can only hold 10 people you have to wait hours just to get a seat on it. Also room service food was cold two days in a row. They did not try to calm you or do anything to satisfy you in anyway, the managers rude this hotel is not recommended don’t believe the stars .

This is a beautiful hotel, directly in the middle of it all. The rooms are perfectly cozy and very clean. Every single person that we met working in the hotel was friendly and welcoming. Nights were amazingly quiet to be in the midst of all the fun.

Editing to add: I posted this and went to bed. Little did we know the fire alarms for floor 14 and 15 would go off at midnight and 4:30 am causing everyone to evacuate via 14+ stories of stairs 2x in the middle of the night. With no explanation except "false alarm". Resulting in very little sleep and very angry guests.

Stayed with my kids in the Ibiza Tower, great room, very comfortable with an amazing shower. Staff were all great, room was incredibly quiet, roomservice was spot on. Great location near everything. Earl Perkins-Valet was also great, been at the hotel for 57 years! Only knock on the hotel is the bathroom door headroom is shorter going in the bathroom than on the inside coming out. I'm 6'7 and banged my head several times b/c of this. Also, I kept hitting my head on the light hanging between the two beds. The room is great but I think it was designed by someone well under 6 feet. Pics outside and inside bathroom door

Best location, best staff, best rooms....you literally can't find a better hotel in NOLA. My absolute favorite!!! I love Hotel Monteleone, the staff are wonderful and very helpful, the decor is gorgeous and we are able to walk everywhere! Perfect location! Love Love Love!

un hôtel chargé d'histoire pour ceux qui veulent y dormir à la suite de Truman Capote, William Faulkner et bien d'autres monstres de la littérature américaine qui y séjournèrent.
Une visite au bar s'impose. Très bien situéen plein coeur du quartier français.
