I made my reservation through Best Western, and they botched the reservation. I call again and they select the wrong dates. I call the hotel direct two days before check-in to clear up the error, and the clerk assured me we were ok.
I show up and they had me down as a no-show, after they tie up $200.00 of my money. The apathetic desk clerk referred me to Best Western, in which I wasted an hour on the phone with then—only for them to die on the hill that they did nothing wrong. They ruined my trip and I had to find a new place to stay at last minute. I tried several times to resolve things to get my money back since I got no room and they made the mistakes. To no avail....I have to deal with filing a dispute and this hotel had no GM on duty when I tried to resolve things. I'd NEVER consider staying here or making a reservation with them. Horrible.

Rooms look nothing like online pictures and very outdated for the price. Had no idea valet would be $50/night with additional hotel fees upon checking in. Housekeeping was HORRIBLE!!!! I i stayed 5 days and 4 nights. My room was never cleaned, i did not want it cleaned the 1st night bit tje secknd night i placed the tag on my door and housekeeping only took the garbage bag thst we pulled by the door. Thats it, bathroom garbage dull, kleenex box not changed. No clean towels and beds not made. She did nothing bit took the garbage bag. When i saw her in the elevator all she could tell me was there were no clean towels. Next morning i told front desk and they wrote it down assuring room would be cleaned, by 2pm nothing. Double checked with front desk, cleaning still going on. By 6 pm nothing and housekeeping was gone for the night. Unacceptable, housekeeping is a part of customer service and should act like it

I pulled up to the hotel and was rudely greeted by the valet guy who also happened to be the desk clerk. Yelled at me to move my car up and to the curb. Went inside and was told the price of the room was 100 more than online. Booked my room online and went upstairs to find the "deluxe" corner room view to have to views at all because headboards covered one window and the other window was damaged. Went back downstairs to deal with the rude attendant who quickly canceled my room and refunded only the taxes and $50 valet fee. I was not refunded the $250 room fee due to policy even tho the room was only booked for 10 minutes.

My first experience in New Orleans and I’m currently staying here now NEVER AGAIN. Especially if your a person that cares about professional hotel service!!

Great location but outdated for the price. Be also aware that they will charge an additional ‘property service fee’ on site which is not listed in the original reservation nor on their website. Scam practice! In the end you will pay more than what you were quoted. You have been warned.

Very nice hotel and very helpfull staff. The rooms are a bit dated but very clean and comfortable. Nice little cafe/bar in the lobby. Nice food and staff. Would visit again.

Overall the location and service at the hotel was great. However the room itself had a strange smell and needed an update. The room overall didn’t seem overly clean or well maintained and was slightly grimy. Also, valet parking is $50/night.

Two night stay. We upgraded to a corner room for more space and am glad we did. Large spacious windows with a great view of the city, sofa, side chair and desk. Bed very comfy, TV more than adequate, and soft towels. Downsides: (1) drain issue in shower. Stood in several inches of water while showering; (2) the lady that we spoke to at the front desk when we checked in had an attirude (I will not share name) and apparently did not want to be at work that day. Did not make us feel welcome. The next day my husband reported that our elevator wasn't working and the stairs (from 7th floor) was a Fire Marshal nightmare with furniture that would not make it pass a safety inspection. There was a different lady behind the desk. Her response, "There's another elevator on the other side." Not an appropriate response in my opinion. Am surprised management would hire front desk personnel with that demeanor. On the flip side, Ruben was very helpful and smiled during our contact with him. The Blake Hotel should clone him and give those 2 girls a pink slip. What a guest sees/hears at the front desk upon arrival and during their stay makes a huge impression re their overall experience.

These people are criminals they charge you 10 dollars a night for using a service like priceline. I had to give up 21 dollars to check in. ???????? I'm using Priceline to save money and they take right back from you

We booked a balcony event for Mardi Gras. the event included dedicated space on the balcony, and a buffet served by, I think, the hotel restaurant, along with a bar set up.
This was coordinated by Celebrity Cruises as a shore excursion.
Every single staff member we encountered was wonderful. The food was fantastic. Even though Mother Nature tried her best to cause problems, the staff handled everything with ease.
This was our first time at Mardi Gras, and we’d always assumed it would be the only time. But after this great experience, we can’t wait to go back and stay at this hotel.

Ok so the pictures are very misleading. I have been an hotel inspector in the past, had I been able I’d have this place shut down. Cleanliness 0 very dirty place, bathroom had soap scum on sink, we had no towels and it was just a very foul unpleasant stay. For the price they are charging per night a room is insane. Dident feel safe at all like someone would break into our room and because of that we stayed up the entire time did not feel comfortable sleeping. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Blake Hotel is an older hotel that is conveniently located. However, the location of the hotel far outweigh the amenities and comfort. It’s an older hotel that offers some pretty basic services. The rooms are older and probably could and should be renovated if I compare it to the hotels I stay in and around most the country. It does provide for the basics if you’re gonna be spending most of the time out all day and just need a place to sleep. The staff is friendly and helpful when you need info on the city, things to do and places to eat. The area is pretty safe and Bourbon and Canal Ave are walking distance away. Also if you wanna take a street car the stop is right across the street. The rooms are a good size but everything is just a little older. We had a king bed, desk nook, sitting area, small closet and the bathroom is big. If you’re looking for a reasonable hotel in a good location and don’t mind not having the frills then is a great hotel for that.

I stayed here this last weekend. It was a good experience. I was in room 702, a corner room, so it had good views. The sun warmed the room up on this February day. I chose it because I was going to The Smoothie Center to see a concert, and it was about a fifteen minute walk. Don't waste your time with a taxi/Uber/Lyft. Just walk the flat safe walk. So this may be a good place to stay during the Super Bowl ????. It's on the St Charles Line. Take it to the Garden District. It's close enough to the action of Canal and Bourbon Streets, yet far enough away to avoid the noise. Once again it's walking distance. I walked here from the Amtrak Station too. I'd stay here again.

I don’t know where to start with this hotel..
Extremely outdated property, with rooms the size of a walk-in closet despite being priced at over $600 during the Mardi Gras season, AFTER being booked weeks in advance. On a normal night, this hotel costs around $200 and I wouldn’t say it’s worth even close to that. Lacks basic amenities like functioning ice makers or even a working keycard slot for our room. Every time we attempted to get into our room, we’d have to fidget with the reader for a few minutes and pray that it lets us in. You’re not going to receive basic things like a free breakfast, as this hotel is most comparable to a large motel.
This is one of those hotels that forces their guests to wear wristbands during busy times, yet charges FOURTY dollars for a replacement/additional wristband even if you have extra guests..
This hotel doesn’t even provide basic bedding like comforters, giving you a yellow blanket to sleep with & nothing else, even if you ask!
The rude bouncers at the door will literally block the door or grab you by the arm to prevent you from entering, even if you’re wearing a wristband. Way to make your guests feel welcome. It’s not enjoyable being treated like a criminal for entering your overpriced glorified motel.
The worst part is, the wristbands are pointless! There’s codes on the bathrooms downstairs, so there’s genuinely no purpose behind them besides the hotel trying to capitalize off of their guests.
This is probably the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in New Orleans, and that’s coming from someone who lives 15 minutes away and only stays downtown during events like Mardi Gras & New Years.
Avoid this hotel at all costs.
* Edit: We’ve had to ask for towels multiple times and when provided, we were given very few.. despite being in the hotel for multiple days with 4 people. There’s also 0 sound isolation, so you’ll hear elevator noises, people talking, police sirens, parades, fireworks, etc ALL night. Our window view was also about 1 inch from a brick wall, which was very refreshing ????♂️

Room had 1 towel for 2 guests and no soap when we arrived. Notified staff of no hot water, room hot and air conditioning not working and VERY loud neighbors having a party all through the night- nothing was done. This is the shameful stepchild of best western and does not deserve to be associated with the franchise. I would not recommend staying here.

Very nice hotel for the price. Great location.
Elevator was a little sketchy and slow. Room was terrible! Windows had mold growing In the bottom of them. Refrigerator cabinet broken. frame on the wall was broken. Light in the bathroom was rusted. Vent in the Bathroom was dirty. Baseboards were not clean. Room had the smell of too much carpet deodorant powder in an effort to cover her up the smell. Thank God I was only booked for one night.
