Horrible hotel my water was cold. I booked a month in advanced they tried to give me a room you COULD CLEARLY TELL had a spill. The room was disgusting MOTEL 6 is even a better establishment so not waste your time coming here.

Wonderful atmosphere and staff. Pretty quiet after dark with a pool!!!! Breakfast was amazing and so was the employee there. 10/10 coming here again

Interior of the hotel hallways could use new paint and Lighting as well as Air conditioning but Other than that, it was very nice. Everyone was very helpful.
Especially with food recommendations in the area

Really appreciate the staff at Sonesta! They were kind and patient in the face of a huge rush of folks checking in after an entire flight was cancelled. All at 1am. Shout out to Derek at the front desk and the security guard for taking care of us!

Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had! Do NOT book here!!
The rooms look nothing like the pictures on their website, the room smelled liked urine and musty/ stagnant. We didn’t feel safe at all, the door didn’t even seal properly so we had ants coming in, no wash clothes, only a couple bath towels (had to ask for some the next morning), the tub was dirty (still had hair in it), the water pressure and temperature were terrible both days, the amount of loud noise both nights kept us up more than half the night, broken glass bottle with shattered glass all over the ground in the corridors this morning, walls are paper thin so you hear everything, the rooms are beyond outdated and WAY overpriced!!! The staff was decent, but you could tell nothing is a priority to them, valet takes awhile, the breakfast is nothing great and the room it’s in is old and rundown as well. The entire hotel needs to be shutdown and remodeled! We will NEVER stay at another Sonesta hotel!!

Location: Perfectly situated, the hotel is a stone’s throw away from New Orleans’ most famous attractions, including the bustling French Quarter and the iconic Mercedes-Benz Superdome. It's also super close, 5 minutes of walking, to some of the best restaurants I've eaten at.

Living quarters: The suites are a testament to thoughtful design, featuring fully equipped kitchens and spacious work areas. The modern amenities ensure a stay that is both comfortable and practical. I enjoyed having a couch where to sit while planning my day or while getting my shoes on and not having to use the bed or an uncomfortable chair.

Food: This is the Achilles heel of the hotel, the breakfast buffet is a joke and an insult to any human being. I've never had more terrible eggs than the omelette served here. Also the choice of food is so poor that a vending machine looks like a 5 star restaurant. My advice, just go and eat at one of the nearby dinners.

Service: The staff was friendly and helpful.

Atmosphere: The hotel’s atmosphere is okay, quiet most of the time with lounge music playing at just the right volume.

Amenities: The outdoor pool it's always welcomed on a hot day. The tennis/basketball court was a great way to relax after a day of visit and the best way to get your blood pumping in the morning. There is also a fire pit with outdoor sofas and chairs around it, that help bring your blood pressure down after a night of partying.

All in all I recommend Sonesta ES Suites New Orleans for an exceptional stay that perfectly captures the vibrant spirit of the city, but do have low expectations from the breakfast buffet or just eat somewhere else so that it doesn't ruin your opinion of the place, as it did for me.

It's a great place if you need a calm and quiet place. It is walking distance from the convention center and the outlet riverwalk . Rooms are spacious and have everything that you need. It is a great place for families. It offers an inside garden ???? with swimming pool, basketball and tennis court. The WWII museum is only 10 min walk.

DO NOT BOOK AT THIS HOTEL. I had 5 fraudulent charges to my bank card. They tried to charge my card so many times that i eventually had to lock the card and then cancel it because they would not stop. They charged $241 before i even checked in, $591, $200, $547 on the same day, and then proceeded to charge again after i checked out. They can do whatever they want with your bankcard after you give it to them. My stay in New Orleans was a nightmare because of this hotel. When i asked the front desk to explain the charges, no one had a clue what the charges were for and one even threatened to fight me for saying how poorly ran the hotel was. The inside looks like a motel room with stains all over the rugs. The pictures look nothing like the rooms and they try to squeeze 2 full beds in one room and call them queens. The valet scratched my car. I never in my life had such a horrible experience like i did at this hotel.

My recent 8-night stay at Sonesta ES Suites New Orleans Convention Center was an absolute delight from start to finish, thanks in large part to the exemplary service provided by the General Manager and his dedicated team.

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for the entire stay. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that I had been upgraded to a spacious suite. The suite was not only impeccably clean but also incredibly comfortable, with a generously sized living room and kitchen area. This setup was perfect for me as I had to work remotely from the room throughout the week. The large desk provided in the living room area was a godsend, offering ample space for me to spread out and be productive.

During my stay, I encountered a slight hiccup with a package I had arranged to be delivered to the hotel. Despite the tracking information indicating its delivery, the package seemed to have vanished. However, the response from the front desk team was swift and attentive. I must commend the General Manager Taylor Inscoe for personally stepping in to resolve the issue. Not only did he ensure that a replacement item was promptly ordered for me, but he also personally delivered it to my door. His proactive, thoughtful, and empathetic approach to the situation immediately put me at ease and made me feel extremely valued as a guest. I’ve had lots of trips around Europe and North America, and I have to say, I’ve seen this level of hospitality or customer satisfaction at only a few places.

Throughout my stay, the staff continued to impress me with their professionalism and dedication to ensuring that my experience was perfect. From offering local recommendations to promptly addressing any inquiries or requests, they consistently went above and beyond to exceed my expectations.

Overall, my experience at Sonesta ES Suites New Orleans Convention Center was nothing short of exceptional, and it is undoubtedly thanks to the exceptional leadership and dedication of the General Manager. Once again, thank you Taylor! I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a memorable and hassle-free stay in the heart of New Orleans. I will certainly be returning, knowing that I will be in the hands of a team that prioritizes customer satisfaction above all else.

It’s was in okay hotel it worked it wasn’t anything fancy or the greatest matters I every slept on but it was spacious enough and clean enough for us for the 4 night we stayed definitely could work on there cleanliness 15 minutes too French quarters and Jackson square

This establishment is not managed well. They misrepresent their offering. The facility is in complete disrepair, and the vallet parking they advertise is a complete lie. Their staff is miserable, and I would not recommend this hotel at all.

Left one of my belongings in the room and was told it was found and would be in the safe. called the next day and apparently it was gone. i was lied to and one of staff took my belongings. very disappointed

Cannot brag enough about the courteous staff and management at Sonesta ES suites. I have stayed here several times for buisness and pleasure. Every stay is phenomenal. The rooms are always clean and the breakfast food is incredible. I would recommend this hotel is to anyone!

Had a great experience with this place when we went down to see the Sugar Bowl on New Years. They gave us a free upgrade because we had a hard time reaching the front office by phone. People there were extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel is in a great location in the warehouse district. Plenty of places off the beaten path to go eat and drink. Very close the the National WW2 museum - which is a must-see if you stay here. Shower needs some better pressure, but other than that the room was nice. Would definitely stay there again!!
