Bathroom need updated. The faucet was loose with silicon to try and hold it in place that didn't work. The handle was stripped. The shower grout needed serious cleaning . This was a suite with premium view of the Mississippi River. This was not called for.

This is just This is absolutely fantastic! Let me share with you my initial thoughts about our check-in process and the service we received upon our arrival. I couldn't believe it when my wife surprised me with a birthday weekend getaway in the vibrant city of New Orleans, also known as the Big Easy.

My excitement was through the roof, but I must admit, I had some concerns about the hotel situation. However, let me assure you that all my worries vanished into thin air the moment we stepped foot into the marvelous Marriott on 555 Canal Street. At the front counter, we were warmly greeted by the extraordinary Mary Ann, who seemed like an actual angel sent from above.

Her attitude and incredible patience while explaining all the marvelous benefits of our stay were beyond compare. Not only did she provide us with a plethora of essential information about the area and the must-visit places during our four-day stay, but she also went above and beyond to make my birthday celebration truly unforgettable.

Mary Ann surprised us with an absolutely amazing room, exceeding all our expectations. It was a delightful surprise that I will remember for a lifetime. If only every hotel experience could be as remarkable as this one, people would be overjoyed wherever they go. But for now, Mary Ann is our guardian angel, and we couldn't be more grateful.

I sincerely hope that the next time you visit this extraordinary establishment, you have the incredible opportunity to be taken care of by Mary Ann. Trust me, you will be deeply touched by her exceptional service. Once again, a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff for making our stay a truly memorable one.

Good location near French Quarter and convention center. Rooms are older and lots of noise from canal street. I was on 23rd floor and could still hear it. Staff were friendly.

No complaints about our stay at the Marriott on canal Street. It is close to everything so walking was easy and convenient. The queen double beds felt much smaller than a queen and the room was fairly basic in nature. The bathrooms were the most basic but the shower water pressure was great. Restaurant and bar in lobby was very nice and they have the best pantry I've had access to in a hotel. Staff was nice.

Horrible customer service for checking in, zero people skills. Called and requested an early check in was stood no problem. Then told after a long flight that I would have to wait for an unknown amount of time. When I tried to explain the situation the front desk said “well our check in isn’t until 4 anyways”.

There was a misunderstanding on my departure date. Instead of calling me to confirm my checkout date when they noticed my room was full of belongings like keys and jewelry, they packed up my room, kept my keys and charger, and disposed of all my jewelry that I just bought to honor my dead ex girlfriend who just passed away.

I had planned to extend my stay by 4 nights, and when asked if I could get one night comped for my troubles, the manager Eddie offered to comp me the $20 destination fee. I don’t think he understood how insulting that is given my bill was $450 and nobody ever explained to me the hidden fees like $65/night incidentals, which apparently when multiplied by two equals $101…

Their math ain’t mathin and it’s shady. The security guard kept giving me an attitude and telling me to calm down and sucking his teeth at me in disgust.

The manager gave me approval to swim for an hour to calm down. The security guard, after I had asked three people for him to stop approaching me at all, interrupted my work out to ask me for my information. When I said “can it wait” he sucked his teeth at me and repeated what I said verbatim in a mocking tone.

Large black dude with a bald head, beard, and the inability to speak to frustrated guests with any tact at all. He needs to stop having guest-facing jobs.

The manager couldn’t make it right except for offering me $20.

I spent 3 hours trying to get my art back. Nothing was done to make it right.

I will not be back and I will stop recommending this brand.

Make it right y’all. Seriously.

BEWARE OF HIDDEN CHARGES!!!
When I checked out, I was charged for gift cards that I was supposed to be given at the time of check-in, l never received them, but was still charged and they refused to reimburse. Also, they charged me for a breakfast that I never had. The morning front desk receptionist said she couldn't help, she couldn't get a manager on the phone, asked me to come back in the evening, the one in the evening found the receipts took it to the restaurant and found out that they charged the wrong room, they gave me a new invoice with the refunded amount. A month later, I never got the refund!!

This Marriott hotel is in the middle of the action around New Orleans French Quarter and the mix of unique restaurants and bars. I will come back here.

Wifi is VERY bad. First connection problems that need help desk intervention. Then it is really slow.

Expect to use your phone hot spot.

I enjoyed my stay at this Marriott Hotel, and have decided that New Orleans is my 2nd Favorite City in the United States, only behind New York City. While the rooms here were small (no surprises to Marriott-hotel guests), and the 42-Story, 449-foot Hotel was strategically located on Canal Street, and the price was not cheap, the attention to detail, the professionalism and the courtesy of the staff offset any issues presented by the age and condition of this Hotel, which was built in 1972. My wife and I recommend this hotel, and hope to come back, soon.
Incidentally, Jared, Nico and Jesus took great care of us at the well-stocked bar.

Great location in the midst of the city with easy uber access and restaurants. Marriott Bonvay breakfast access is worth the extra cost.

Well Located. The hotel is near the streetcar and only a short walk to Bourbon St. Never had trouble getting a cab. We stayed here for a work trip, the conference space worked well. I had a great view of the river. The food in the lobby bar was surprisingly excellent. Visited 9/2023.

This Marriott was exceptional! The location is excellent, the rooms were clean and comfortable, but most of all the service was outstanding! Valet, front desk, restaurants, maids and the bar services. It was prenominal across the board.
