Nous avons fait la visite du quartier français en français le 09/04 et comme mon mari et moi étions les seuls à avoir réservé, ce fut un peu une visite « privée ». Notre guide Lawson était très sympathique et nous a appris beaucoup de choses. Nous avons passé un très bon moment

Great tour with a nuanced and insightful approach to Creole history and culture. Lawson was able to place the history of New Orleans within the context of US history and global trends. With familial connections to the community and professional training in French culture and history, he is able to speak from personal experience and academic expertise.

All the while keeping it relevant and entertaining. He welcomed questions and encouraged connections. Lawson was also attentive to pacing, tricky curbs, and weather to ensure comfort and safety while walking through French Quarter.

One of the best tours I've ever had.

What a very well-organized, informative, and intriguing tour led by Lawson! Lawson was very personable and sincere and made everyone feel comfortable and included as he engaged everyone in the conversation and educational walk around the French Quarter. We learned a lot! Visite prévu à midi , nous attendons au point de RDV , pas de guide en vue .. elle avais oublié qu’elle devait faire une visite ce jour.
Heureusement le guide Lawson a pu venir en catastrophe pour la remplacer et nous faire la visite qui était prévu.
Je met 5 étoiles ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ à Lawson , c’est un guide très intéressant, nous avons appris beaucoup de choses sur la vie et l’histoire des Créoles.
Je suis cependant déçue car la visite n’a durée qu’une heure au lieu des 2h initialement annoncée.

I can't recommend this tour enough. It is a MUST for any visit to New Orleans. Lawson is a true expert in Louisiana Creole culture and beyond. He taught us so much about the local history, while also tracing the historical roots to African, French, Spanish, and Caribbean cultures. Lawson's passion for this subject shines through and we felt extremely lucky to benefit from this invaluable experience! We received this tour in French and were also privy to a quick lesson on Lousiana Creole language. Just EXCELLENT!

Nous avons réalisé la visite "La Louisiane des créoles" en français avec Lawson. La visite permet de se plonger dans la culture créole de la Nouvelle-Orléans toujours avec humour. Nous avons adoré notre visite et recommandons sans aucun doute les tours by Marguerite !

This tour brought us all throughout the French Quarter and we learned so many new and important things about the history of New Orleans and the Creole culture. It was FILLED with recommendations of places to go and eat afterward to build on the knowledge we learned. It was the best tour of our whole trip! Would definitely recommend.

C’était un magnifique tour, extrêmement agréable et en très bonne compagnie, celle de Muriel. Je recommande ce tour à 1000%. Tout est très bien organisé et extrêmement intéressant.

Visite très intéressante. L'occasion de voir des lieux inaccessibles sans cette visite et de voir différemment les lieux connus. Une ouverture également sur la langue et la culture créoles.

Our family took the tour with Lawson today. It was outstanding! Lawson is extremely knowledgeable about the history of New Orleans and Creole culture, and he made the tour engaging and memorable. We learned about the city’s history of racial injustice, the lives and contributions of strong and amazing women, slaves, and freed slaves, and how the French Quarter came to be. Lawson’s tour was like a university lecture by a fascinating professor. We weren’t sure if a two-hour walking tour in 98 degree heat was a great idea, but it was totally worth it. Highly recommend this!

Visite extraordinaire avec Lawson
C est notre 3"visite à pied de La Nlle Orléans mais c est de loin a meilleure!
Notre guide a une très grande culture historique et du fait qu il est natif de la région, son point de vue nous a beaucoup intéressés
Nous ne pouvons que recommander ce tour , très interactif et passionnant
Ps :par une grande chaleur en juillet , Lawson avait eu la gentillesse de nous apporter à chacun , une bouteille d eau très froide

Visite le 27juillet avec notre guide Lawson qui s’exprime en français autour du quartier du vieux carré . Cette visite permet de connaître l’histoire de la Louisiane et de la Nouvelle Orléans à travers la grande Histoire et les petites histoires . Cette visite est accessible à tous et est enrichissante .Vivement conseillé surtout si vous êtes français .

Nous avons passé un moment magique avec Lawson. Il a su faire partager dans un français impeccable l histoire de la nouvelle Orléans . La ballade dans le carré Français fut très agréable malgré la chaleur, mais Lawson avait pris soin de nous offrir des bouteilles d'eau glacée. Cette visite fut une conversation avec beaucoup d'humour que nous recommandons vivement. Elle nous a ouvert les yeux et l'esprit sur ce monde créole.

I just spent the last 75 minutes telling my husband all about the amazing information that was shared on this tour!! I highly highly recommend this tour!! Lawson was a knight in shining armor from the moment we began the tour when he handed us ice cold bottles of water. Throughout the tour he shared a great depth of knowledge for New Orleans and beyond, and did a marvelous job of explaining NOLA’s history from a variety of perspectives! I really appreciated how Lawson took time to explain how elements of the past influence so much of what we see today. Truly, this tour could be priced so much higher for the great quality of the information that you receive!

At 5 months pregnant traveling with my 70+ year old momma, I was initially worried that we might not be able to keep up with a 2 hour long walking tour - but the pacing was totally manageable and Lawson was incredibly thoughtful about making sure we were in the shade and had places to sit if we needed to. Definitely book this tour!!

Our time with Lawson was an unquestionable highlight of our visit to New Orleans. He is brilliant, funny, knowledgeable, engaging, and deeply passionate about Creole history and culture. His tour is thoughtfully designed, tracing the stories of several Creole women who helped shape what the city is today. Nous avons apprécié ce tour en français.
On y apprend beaucoup de choses.
Muriel ,notre guide, a su être claire et disponible.
On ne parcours pas la ville de long en large mais on traverse l'histoire de la nouvelle Orléans.

Cette visite guidée a été très exhaustive surtout grâce à la merveilleuse Muriel! Elle possède une connaissance profonde de tous le petits recoins de la ville et son histoire. J’ai choisi de faire cette excursion en français et je dois dire que je suis très content de l’avoir fait. Obligatoire pour un bon séjour ici!
