C'est un immense hangar avec tous les chars et les décorations des carnavals passés et à venir. Génial!

What an amazing experience! We have a much better appreciation of the work. It takes to get these floats to bring so much joy in the Mardi Gras parades. We did not realize all the other areas that this studio reaches. How they contribute to many theme parks and even the Academy Awards. The tour guide was fun and very informative. All the colors and props were a treat for the eyes. They even gave us samples of king cake. Great photo opportunities and great memories made. A great way to round out the New Orleans experience we definitely recommend. Especially That they have a shuttle that picks you up from most locations near the French Quarter. We are coming back!

This place is cool to see if you like art or sculpting. There is a 15 minute video at the beginning yhat goes over the history of parades & some of the Krews. The viewing room charis are very dudty & dirty. We did enjoy the piece of king cake. Be mindful that this is not a museum. It literally is a working warehouse. It is very dirty and the pieces out to view are dusty with cobbwebs. If you have asthma or other breathing issues, this might not be for you as there is a strong mildew odor in the place. Also keep in mind that there is no parking anywhere close. The best option is to use their ahuttle.

We had such a wonderful time at Mardi Gras world! I am a local, from New Orleans and I'm a tour guide here, so when I tell you Sean, our guide was phenomenal, I really mean it! What a great time and I learned so much!

Fun to see how they make the pieces, and view a bunch of past ones.

Beware of the shuttle!! Free shuttle will pick you up at 10 different locations according to their website, however nowhere does it tell you that it will only drop you off at 1 location if your tour ends after 4 pm. Had a further walk with 2 young kids instead of being dropped off at our hotel we were picked up from. Very rude driver - he acted very annoyed when I told him our stop was somewhere else and he said this is the only place he goes to despite us getting picked up at our hotel. He got on a radio and told someone make sure you tell people I only go to one stop, in front of us.

Kids loved the props but really not worth the admission price and terrible service to offer a free shuttle there but on your own on the way back.

Très belle activité, très intéressant de savoir comment se fait tout ce qui concerne les parades du Mardi Gras.

Super cool, you get to see the real floats up close and learn a lot about them. There's even a shuttle service! 100% worth it, took about an hour.

We had to call a couple times to confirm the free shuttle but it was convenient! The short video in the beginning of the tour was a bit dated. The tour guide was excellent! It was interesting to learn about the history of Mardi Gras. The king camp sample and the back patio river view was a nice bonus. You can get a discount on Groupon.

This place is very interesting but when it's raining and this is supposed to be inside, I was not expecting to get drenched inside the warehouse as much money that goes into this place get a roof that doesn't leak everywhere. I love the idea of this place but Def is dengy and needs work. The shuttle folks are not nice and will not even wait for you .

So much fun and so many props to see! The tour was interesting and informative! The short video at the beginning was not boring at all. Also, you get a delicious piece of King cake at the beginning of the tour!

Really cool tour. I never really understood what went into making parade floats and objects. I would highly recommend it.

This was an amazing tour with a lot of interaction between the Mardi Gras Floats and their characters. The behind the scenes info and production facility was just great. If you ever come to N'awlins you have to visit the mardi gras world

the tour was interesting. of all the excursions we did on our LA/MS/AL/FL trip this was the only one we probably would not do again, simply based on the price. $86 for myself and three young ones to watch a short movie and walk through a warehouse with the props. it was great to see the props up close and in person. there were no artists or designers working during our tour so nothing really engaging. maybe it was just bad timing at the end of the day for when we took the tour.

Man. Man. Raised in NOLA, but military relocated us....in all of my years of visiting home- and now with my own kiddos in tow-had never visited. But WOW. My kids and I LOVED MARDI GRAS WORLD! A+. Something for my pre-teen and elementary kid. Did not disappoint. The Mardi Gras beads "admission tickets" were a nice welcoming touch.
The video was super informative! Only negative, a Spring Break trip of French-speaking students came in late and never stopped talking, laughing from walking in auditorium. I wish there was a Tour Guide to tell them shhh! Other than that, ENJOYED the KING CAKE!!!! ANOTHER GREAT WELCOMING TOUCH!!!!!! Parking was $23 in the lot across from Mardi Gras world. If you are cruising out of Port Orleans, definitely worth the short walk-although not sure if they store luggage. But a MUST before heading home! Love that you can roam and take pictures amongst the floats/props freely with the exception of restricted areas. Wish we could have seen artisans in action! We also llearned Blain Kern/Mardi Gras World made props for locally shot movie "Five Nights at Freddie's". My 7 year old loved this fact! Lol!

It’s okay. Interesting to learn some history of the parade “business” and see some of the floats/props in person but feels a bit over-priced considering you’re just touring a working warehouse and not something created or curated for the tour. Just a for-profit business making some additional revenue. The tour guide was good but nothing specialized like a historian guiding a tour. The transportation on their shuttle is also okay but we waited almost 30 minutes after calling. Feels more like a $10 tour considering we probably had 40-50 people in our group.

Cool I guess. Tour guide was great! Not sure if it was worth the $22 per adult in our group.. Not to mention the free shuttle refused to pick us up after we had explored downtown despite the website and paper inside the building stating it would be able to pick us back up to take us back to mardi gras world. Super unfortunate as the man we spoke to on the phone was clearly confused and didn’t understand the question. My tip- train your employees a bit better when on the phone with people.
