I’ve had quite the number of BLT sandwiches, banh mi, and sandwiches with Dutch crunch bread in my life. I don’t claim to be a sandwich connoisseur, but I’d like to say that I know what I’m looking for in a sandwich. This T.A.B.L.T sandwich was THICK! Oh my goodness, it was so massive and satiating, as I’d hope for a $12 sandwich. (Technically, the sandwich was $15 after tax and tip.) The Dutch crunch bread on the sandwich was still crunchy and the bacon was still crispy by the time I returned home to devour the second half of the sandwich. The avocado was perfectly ripe and generously spread out. It was a well balanced stuffed sandwich with the mayo sauce, pickles, and pickled peppers.
Overall, this is my verdict on the T.A.B.L.T sandwich: fantastic and filling! 10/10 would eat again. And might I say…this is the perfect sandwich for a picnic!
Tips and recommendations: Get your sandwich bread toasted. Follow Sunset Subs on Instagram for a free snack. I opted for the Kettle Sea Salt chips for my snack of choice. You can order to pick up ahead of time to avoid a queue.
