Exceptional food and service, with beautiful ambiance as well. The only thing I’d change is the color of the staff suits- it’s a dark olive green that feels very dated compared to the hyper modern interior and experience

This was a truly wonderful and exceptional experience. My husband and I could not have asked for a better birthday celebration. The staff was so warm and welcoming and attentive and the food and wine was, of course, incredible. It was a one-of-a-kind evening that we’ll cherish.

I just love Quince. It's delicious, surprising, a welcoming place to be at. The menu is very tasty, service is friendly and knowledgeable and helpful.

Quince just went through a re-launch after remodeling. The new look is lighter, larger windows. Do check it out.

They have a full tasting menu, a shorter 4 course tasting and a lounge menu.

Excellent food - vegetable forward, light, mostly seafood, main dish was squab (so quite light on meat). Good service. Extensive wine list with reasonable options for those that don’t want to splurge. Ambience is modern but simple (a bit much beige for my taste!). We were able to visit the kitchen and meet Chef Tusk.

Price went up 10% from before it closed, service charge is up to 22%, plus 6% SF mandate, so expect to pay for the experience!

For parking, they don’t have valet and recommend an open air lot on Sansome that we couldn’t quite locate. However, we found street parking on Pacific right across from the restaurant so lucked out.

Quince offers amazing food with seasonal California ingredients. Nettle green soup was unexpected and out of this world. Wines are delicious. Service could use a little bite more attention. Decors and interior are top notch and tasteful. The place gives classy and old money vibes.

Service is weird.. (not on par with 3-star service) with a 28% charge. great utensils, great tea, ok/good/great food. Salon is comfortable!

First time visiting and it was a nice experience! Really enjoyed the variety of the dessert course and the staff hospitality.

Overall a nice evening. Total time there a little over 3 hours.

The service from the main waitress was excellent...
but unfortunately other people have strong frowns on their faces that make it awkward to make conversation.
*Don't fall for the strongly encourage beverage to start the evening. Fortunately I am very familiar with this trick... but others may not know it's not included. So just a warning because it was very convincing.
First of all what happened to the 3-5 different selections of bread... If you have been to quince before. The bread selection was a stand out but no longer. Every aspect of Quince except for the brand new interior has declined. This is even a minimum food experience compared to even 1-2 Michelin stared category of restaurants. For example Avery is a 1 M star restaurant & at least has stand outs on the menu compared to Quince. All I can say is save your money go to TFL.. Go to Saison... etc because It's very likely you will be extraordinarily disappointed by the food at Quince. Even the sister restaurant next door is better. One of the dishes was a cavatelli pasta that had a undercooked bite to it

Famous dining experience! Impeccable service, from wait staff offering his arm to escort me to and from the ladies' room. To the hot chocolate given as we walked out. Everything well paced. We had the tasting menu plus two add-ons. I had the $440 "rare and unique" wine pairing even though I'm not a white wine drinker, so I could have done without it. Nice that they had a non alcoholic pairing which my friend had. We were there close to four hours so I would say it was a Quince experience!

It’s so simple: simple deco, simple foods, simple liquors and simple services. Maybe Michelin of this decade has changed its taste to be simplicity, and this taste is that of the marginalized groups: which is meant to against the traditional foods culture.

We have been fortunate to dine at Quince many times over the past decade, and loved the food, service, and ambiance.

Unfortunately we discovered last night that the renovation has, for us, ruined the restaurant.

Loud “contemporary pop” music blasting so you have to fight to have a conversation is not our idea of fine dining. Half a dozen ignored requests to turn it down? I was literally begging— to no avail. And we were the largest party in the restaurant— a table of six. Total tab: multiple thousands.

Bad acoustics, no table cloths, plastic tables reminiscent of a summer camp dining hall?

Sorry but they have lost us — we won’t be going back, and will miss the old Quince: quiet, intimate fine dining at its best.

Visited a few years ago for a special occasion, and would say a full 3 Michelin Star experience. That said, it did feel a little on the stiffer side, but the staff was kind and attentive. The food was fresh and delicious.

Good food, good service, excellent atmosphere. Two things stand out - food presentation is really nice, instead of having a lot of inedible deco on the plate, they try to plate with food, and the presentation is absolutely gorgeous. We also like how they handle flavor, every dish feels like an integrated piece of art, very delicious. Service is also top notch, we felt very welcomed even though we dress a bit casual. We wanted to drink just a few glasses and the staff accommodated our need with no problem.

Possibly one of the best restaurants on planet Earth. The only Michelin 3 star I have returned to more than one time so far. And that’s not to say others don’t deserve it, Quince just overtops them all.

Delicate flavors made with incredible inventiveness and passion from an array of local ingredients dance across unique plates and spreads, involving the diner in an experience that is sometimes tactile, sometimes aural, sometimes olfactory, and always gustatorily pleasurable. Never have I so badly wanted to lick the plates and never have I been so without critique. There are no weak dishes here and my #1 complaint is that their delightfully long tasting menu provides quite literally MORE FOOD than a human needs for dinner. You may struggle to finish it all and that’s a darn tragedy.

So skip breakfast and lunch if you must and double the bread because it may be the best in the world.

The very first time I went here, a fellow diner mentioned a dish they had eaten at another Michelin restaurant in New York. Within 20 minutes Quince had recreated the dish and served it to us! Are you kidding?! They literally invented food on the spot and it was amazing, and free.

This place probably deserves to be 4 Michelin stars. Simply the best, bar none.
