Since Puccini's in North Beach closed, there hasn't been a superb Italian restaurant in Dan Francisco... Until I discovered this place. Every single thing we ate was absolutely delicious - from homemade bread and real, flavorful olive oil, to pillow soft gnocchi, fresh and exciting marinara sauce, intense Bolognese, everything. My new favorite place for Italian in the Bay Area.

I had a reservation for 2 scheduled at 7:45pm on a Friday, four different servers came by and looked at me without even attempting to seat my date and I. Horrible experience, worst service i’ve ever seen.

Hi everyone! I would like to share my experience at Ristobar. First of all, my fiancée and I were ruining a few minutes late (40 mins) lol but the owner was nice to still welcome us in and treated us with respect and kindness. The menu was valentines edition so my partner and I had the chance to try everything. My favorite one was the crab pasta (I can’t quite remember the name) it was deliiiicious! The service was more than pleasant to us. I highly recommend Ristobar. You will love it ❤️

The best dining experience I’ve ever had in San Francisco. The manager, host and our server went above and beyond to make the experience extremely special for me and my friends. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone keen to experience the epitome of hospitality.

One of my favorite spots, the service is top notch. Cooper was really nice! And all the staff members.

The food is amazing, menu changes all the time and everything is always fresh.

Im a Marina local and had my birthday party at Ristobar for a group of 20 people and it was absolutely perfect!! The manager and staff were so wonderful, helped me plan the perfect evening and were so accomodating. The food and cocktails were delicious, and the vibe is great. It’s a chic setting. I couldn’t recommend more! A great date night spot (it’s an intimate vibe!), or place for a big group! THANK YOU! ❤️

Very cozy and friendly place. The food was extremely delicious. We are in San Francisco for 4 days we may return to eat here again. The staff was so welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed our experience here.

We were there with our new in-laws the day after the wedding as part of extending our celebration. We are all out of towners and someone found this through a search. What a find!
First thing, don’t come to be stuffed full of bread before the meal. That will not happen. Instead you will be served whatever you order fairly quickly.
Everyone enjoyed their choice of drink and food tremendously.
I had the Pappardelle Funghi Salsiccia. It was excellent. Someone else had the capresse salad which was great. Another had the pasta bolognese. And the chef came out personally to check on this dish - he changed something with the prep and wanted to be sure our friend liked it.
We really felt welcome here.

I truly can't say enough about the experience at Ristobar. What could have been a disaster was really turned around in a big way. Initially we had booked for inside which got changed to outside by chance. Because that wasn't initially what we wanted, they really went above and beyond to make our time magical. The food was excellent service was excellent,all around experience..amazing

We had our wedding dinner here during the pandemic with a small group of friends and Mattia, made it absolutely special. He went above and beyond what we had requested. He decorated the tables with centerpieces and also printed out special menus for us. Every one of our friends loved everything they had ordered.

More recently when we were in SF we went to have dinner here to celebrate our anniversary and we spoke to Mattia who was just as amazing as we remembered. He really cares about his customers. The food here is so delicious! Do not skip the bread as an appetizer, it's absolutely delicious. The service was so good, the waiter was super attentive and always made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this place for a good Italian meal!

The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great dinner on an extremely busy evening for the restaurant. We had multiple employees checking in on our meal throughout the night given they knew there were likely delays given the high volume. They did a great job and the staff also did not rush us out at the end of the night during closing which we appreciated. We were fully taken care of and the food was delicious! Thank you!

I’m not exaggerating when I say this is the best treatment we’ve ever gotten at a restaurant! We had the best service experience and delicious food! We came to celebrate my husbands birthday and they were so kind in giving us recommendations for food as well as tips on places to visit and try while in San Fran. They truly made us feel welcome! Try the baba desert.

Feeling ripped off by the auto 26% tip on our party of 5 tonight. My wife and I had to get up 3 times to get help from staff. Service reminds me of Sessions Restaurant it is so laughably bad.

Ristobar is second to none! My husband and I had the most amazing dinner experience there last night! The bar and restaurant are beautiful! We ate at the bar and it was a terrific experience. The owner Mattia was terrific. The drinks were top notch and the foccacia bread (housemade) was delicious. It reminded me of being in Italy.
I ordered the Spaghetti Pomodoro -- fantastic! The pasta is homemade also! My husband had the pork chop special and he said it was spectacular.
I highly recommend going to Ristobar and checking it out!
