Un très bel endroit agréable et branché à Cow Hollow, avec une verrière agréable qui donne sur des plantes rafraîchissantes, des banquettes aux jolis coussins confortables. A la carte, d'excellents petits déjeuners et brunch le week-end, mais aussi plein de petits plats healthy et spécialités plus consistantes à midi (salade, sandwichs, bowls vitaminés). Les cocktails font aussi partie des spécialités maison qui se commandent le plus après dîner. Café, restaurant et bar, the Palm House offre une belle ambiance à toute heure de la journée.

Palm House SF is a vibrant spot that captures the essence of a tropical getaway right in the heart of the city. My visit here was marked by an indulgence in their delightful champagne flights, perfectly complemented by a generous serving of avocado and house-made chips. The main course followed suit in quality, contributing to a satisfying culinary experience.

The restaurant's theme is a standout feature. It strikes a perfect balance between bright, sunny, and fun, without crossing into the realm of being overdone. This cheerful and inviting ambiance makes Palm House SF an ideal venue for brunch with friends or family. The lively atmosphere, coupled with the delicious food and drinks, sets the stage for a memorable dining experience.

However, the popularity of Palm House SF means that it gets busy quickly, and securing seating can be a challenge. It's a testament to the quality and appeal of the restaurant, but it does require some planning and patience.

One aspect of my experience that stood out was the service. While it was decent overall, I noticed a distinct difference in the attention given to regular customers versus new guests. As a first-time visitor, I felt somewhat sidelined compared to others who seemed to be regulars. This created a slight disparity in the welcoming atmosphere typically expected in such a vibrant and lively place.

Not perfect but pretty close, the food was exceptional, both in terms of flavor and creativity. We started with the smashed avocado which was basically guacamole with an assortment of chips (tortilla, plantain). This was probably the only misfire. The guacamole had been sitting and also lacked some punch (more lime, please). However, our Little Gems salad with avocado, smoked almonds, valencia oranges, pickled red onion, togarashi vinaigrette was terrific; really spicy, creamy and flavorful. The crushed almonds added great texture. Only ask is for more avocado please! The mains and sides were really great too. had the jerk chicken and it was epic: the chicken was incredibly succulent; just the right balance of tender and juicy. It's soaked in the spicy marinade for 10 hours and it showed, the flavor was off the chain. My wife had the macademia nut mac n cheese and tried a bit, it was solid. She loved it. We also tried the spicy fries and they were good but what set it apart was the deliciously sweet mango ketchup. Yum. Service was fine, typical Marina vibe. Really cool place overall, we're looking forward to returning and trying the brunch menu soon! July 2015.
