We mesured over 48dB non stop.
Room is literally next to the main building outisde fan with extremely poor isolation.
48dB is about 16-32 times louder than the maximum based sound for hotel on American legislation.
Anyway you guys must change that, some of the room are just horrible.
The view from the window is to another rooms window so nothing special.
I had an issue where the A/C was blaring and stayed on, on top of that there was a huge clump of dust on it and around it on the ceiling(img attached). When I'd set the fan to auto and temp, it would cool to the set temp and continue cooling, the situation was similar with the heat.
At one point i went out for the evening and mentioned it to staff who said they'd have an engr look at it, came back that night and the temp control was set to Fahrenheit again so i assumed and set to what the room is usually set to on arrival so I assumed it was fixed.. Woke up in the night due to same issue, room got too cold, turned off the AC and woke up later on as the temp went up to around 27 degrees and it got too hot.
Regardless with the A/C on it was extremely loud and being i was there for only 3 more days I told myself i need to leave otherwise I will get sick.
Spoke to front staff and they said I'd have to pay an early departure fee of what seemed around $190 which I was not ok with but its a work trip so it can be covered.. They then offered to speak with the Mgr as well incase anything can be done and otherwise email me the final invoice so I was fine with that and moved on only to learn later i was charged the full amount of my stay on my CC without adjustments.
In the end, I contacted the hotel and they refunded me $800 and charged me $420 for early departure fee.
