Great location, very close to Union Square. It's also a great location because of its proximity to bus lines and BART. It is an old hotel and a little dated but the price is right. Free breakfast in the morning. There is an elevator at this hostel.

A bit loud at times due to the vagrants, but it's nicely situated close to market and BART and union Square with loads of transportation options. There is a parking garage across the street but having a car in SF is a liability.

Adequate for a few days pottering round the city. Just be careful which road you take when you leave the hostels.

This hostel has a great location, fun activities, clean rooms and quiet inhabitants.

My only issue has been noise from the street, since the windows are not at all isolated, and don't even close all the way.

This is my first stay at a hostel. I booked a private room for myself because I knew I would not be able to sleep in a dorm situation.
I typically stay in mid to upper level hotels when I travel, so this was a first for me, branching out, to experience other ways to spend the night in a city.
This facility met and also exceeded my expectations. My room was perfectly fine, it was extremely clean, the sheets smelled so good. This hostel is in a very old building, and you can feel that old building funkiness as you walk around. It isn't a bad thing. But is this a Holiday Inn Express or the Nikko? No way, but that's okay, it is very good for what it is. It is loud, you are on a very busy street, you will want ear plugs.
The location is on the edge of where things get sketchy, but the good news is, you don't have to go there. You can walk around and go to other blocks to get to where you're going. As a single woman, I never felt unsafe.
It is a short walk to all transportation, restaurants, sightseeing, and helps you stay within your budget if that is your priority.
I would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for this type of experience.

Loved staying here! The rooms were extremely clean and it was quiet! The staff was very nice and helpful. The location was excellent and we were able to walk everywhere. Will definitely be staying here again!

Very clean. Free breakfast. Convinient location. Ask for higher floors if you can ask the locals that sleep in the back lane can get loud during the evening. I managed to sleep through it with earplugs.

Me hospede cuatro noches. El lugar muy bien. Tranquilo para ser Hostel. Muy bien la limpieza en todas las áreas. No tuve ningún inconveniente.

E' un ostello ma le camere con bagno sono essenziali ma pulite. la colazione è abbondante e c'è sempre disponibilità di the e caffe durante il giorno. la posizione è davvero ottima per visitare la città.

위치, 가격 모두 괜찮았다.
공용주방사용이 매우 좋았으며 2층 라운지 이용도 편안했다.
크진 않지만 엘베가 있어서 입,퇴실시 이동이 좋았다.
객실내 욕실과 화장실이 있어서 편리했다.

텐덜로엥과 가까워서 안전한 위치라고 생각되지는 않으나 샌프란시스코에 주요 포인트들에 접근하기 좋은 위치에 있다.

100년이 넘은 건물이라는 점과 그 가격을 고려하더라도 시설의 수준과 유지보수는 실망스럽다. 열악한 시설을 정당화하려면 더 싸야 한다.

조식이 제공되며, 식빵과 바나나 하나씩 정도가 먹을만 하다.

세탁과 건조는 각각 8$씩 요구되며, 세탁기가 매우 더러웠다.

직원들은 매우 친절했다.

We stayed two days, rooms are small but satisfying. Wi-Fi is good, English breakfast served. The reception having free coffee and ATM. Location is convenient, main cable car station is close by. Check in was easy and fast, they have baggage room in case you needed after checkout.

From airport we took bus (samtrans $2.25) to mission street and 5min walk to the hostel.

Recommend for budget short stay.

I have a nice time here! I think the common areas are clean and comfortable. The room was also clean. They offer some activities for guests that can help to improve the experience.
It's close to downtown and to nice restaurants.

While the amenities of the hostel are clean and pretty solid, the staff needs some serious training on etiquette and basic human decency. On my first night, January 5th, the fire alarm went off (it was a false alarm) and there was clearly some confusion and stress amongst the staff and those staying there. As we were all leaving the front door, someone was holding it open, I and many others likely assumed this person, who was a black woman, was likely staying at the hostel. It turns out she was homeless, one of the staff (a middle age white man with glasses) yelled at her to leave and shoved her so hard that she went stumbling back several feet into the road where she could’ve been hit by a car. While I understand that this was a stressful situation and there’s obviously a safety issue of ensuring that only the hostel guests are entering the building, that doesnt mean people get to be treated with such disrespect and violence. Clearly the staff needs sensitivity training on how to treat people who are homeless with compassion and not violence. Having stayed at various HI locations I’ve never had issues before but this really put a sour taste in my mouth and I would likely not return to any other future locations nor would I recommend this establishment to anyone I know. Learn and do better.

Clean and affordable. I stayed 5 nights in an ensuite room (spacious bathroom!) w my partner. Impressed with the building and the organization of the hostal. Cool environmental details like the mini hand washing sinks in the communal toilet. Desk staff could be friendlier, but did the job otherwise. Never had bagels, even when I got up early, but the banana/toast/hard-boiled egg breakfast was still appreciated vs. SF diner prices. If you're on a budget and comparing hotels, just book here.

El personal es muy amable y si tenes alguna duda ellos la resuelven. La habitación doble con baño privado es super espaciosa, cómoda, tiene un ropero para guardar, inclusive, las valijas. El baño está bien, le falta calefacción por lo que cuando salis de ducharte, en invierno, hace frío, y tarda mucho en calentar el agua (demasiado derroche). Es lo único malo de la habitación. No limpian la habitación hasta que te vas, solo entran a vaciar los cestos de basura, pero no hacen la cama. En cuanto las Toallas, tenes que pedir que las cambien, lo que no me parece mal así se puede cuidar el agua, de algún modo.
Ofrecen desayuno (cafe, té, tostadas y fruta) y también podes dejar las cosas en la heladera. La cocina es super completa para cocinar.
En cuanto a la ubicación, es el centro de la.cuidad. Hay colectivos y subtes para donde quieras ir, de día es una linda zona, cerca del barrio chino pero de noche hay mucha gente en la calle, y los negocios a las 21 ya están cerrados por lo que se hace una zona un poco fea, y sin mucho movimiento.
Tienen lavandería, te dan jabón pero es un poco caro. 8 dólares el servicio.
De todas formas, recomiendo hospedarse en el hostel. Ofrece actividades

2023年末から2024年始にかけて7泊しました。とても快適なホステルでした。個人的には共有スペースが快適でお気に入り。スタッフはフレンドリーで親切でしたし、清掃等も良くされているようでした。サンフランシスコで安く宿泊したいならここはおススメだと思います。

O melhor hostel que já fiquei até hoje. Ele está localizado em uma região que está perto de lojinhas, shoppings, bares, estação do airtrain. O atendimento foi maravilhoso, tanto os atendentes da recepção quanto o pessoal da limpeza. O café da manhã é muito bom. Super recomendo. Quando voltar em São Francisco tenho certeza que irei novamente para ele.

Hôtel correctement placé à proximité de Powel et d'Union Square. Il y a bien une laverie ce qui est pratique. L'accueil est correct. Cuisine trop petite pour la taille de l'hôtel, le matin c'est un peu l'usine au petit déjeuner. Isolation des fenêtre des chambres laissent passer le bruit.

la localisation est très bien, les chambres moyennes, avec baignoire pour certaines, mais l'eau chaude ne fonctionne pas toujours !! le petit déj était varié, dans une superbe cuisine équipée tout ikea !!!
