Ce boutique hôtel de standing moyen est abordable. Il propose des chambres rénovées récemment, lumineuses, épurées et sans fioritures, avec du parquet et des tons gris et blancs, des salles de bains agréables. Cependant, la taille des chambres standard est vraiment réduite, pas d'armoire ni de climatisation, mais c'est douillet et mignon. Il est particulièrement bien situé, à deux pas d'Union Square et sur le passage des cable cars de Powell Street. Vous pourrez vous installer dans le lounge offrant du thé et du café à toute heure.

The location is great, and as a single woman traveling I didn't feel unsafe. Its located a few blocks from the "bad" part of town, but its still sectioned off from this and you wouldn't even notice if you weren't specifically looking for it. There is a lot of shopping nearby, china town is a few blocks away, and the cable car starts just three blocks down the street, passing the hotel itself. I would absolutely stay here again if I visit SF again.

The room was tiny, so small that the sink is in the bedroom because it wouldn't fit in the bathroom.
It was a good spot for a short stay for one person, but I wouldn't recommend it for couples or for a longer stay.
This hotel has a few quirks. You check yourself in using an iPad and make your own key. This actually worked smoothly for me and I was checked in within 5 minutes.
They don't offer bag check. This was a surprise and a bit of a hassle. There is a luggage store across the street that will hold bags for an $8 charge until 6:30 pm.
One other note: my room was directly across from a room that someone was living in. It was a bit strange but there were no issues.
