If you’re booking via Aadvantage Hotels (American Airlines’ hotel group), proceed with caution as American will have you prepay in full for a room, but not communicate to the hotel staff what you paid for. I was supposed to have a room with a balcony and when I arrived, no balconies were available and I was actually charged more for a lesser room (water view). It wasn’t the staff’s fault, as I said it’s a lack of care and concern from AA. However, I incurred over $200 in additional charges due to the lack of care and concern from both HYATT/JDV and American Airlines Hotels.
I also prepaid for breakfast, and was charged for it. This hotel, while nice folks, will try to scam you as you see in other reviews. Proceed with caution.
Edited to add: the staff at this hotel blatantly LIED to Aadvatage Hotels and said my breakfast that was prepaid for was not breakfast and was instead, food and drinks at the bar. I spoke to a manager and it was corrected. But just be cautious when booking.
BEWARE
During my stay, I encountered a minor issue with my room, but Alex the manager handled it with the utmost professionalism and efficiency. Not only did they promptly address the issue, but they also went above and beyond to ensure that I was completely satisfied with my stay.
Alex as well as the rest of his staff demonstrated exceptional problem-solving skills and genuine care for the comfort and satisfaction of their guests. Their attention to detail and commitment to providing excellent customer service truly set them apart.
I look forward to returning to this hotel in the future and experiencing the unparalleled hospitality that Alex and their team provide.
40$ parking fees
