Hôtel situé juste à côté du Gables Inn, proposant des chambres confortables au très bon rapport qualité prix
Cet hôtel situé en plein centre près du port de plaisance rappelle la Côte d’Azur avec ses couleurs chaudes, ses terrasses ombragées et ses chambres lumineuses. Ouvert depuis 1915, il fut un bordel avant de devenir un lieu de rendez-vous pendant la Prohibition. D'ailleurs plusieurs séquences de films hollywoodiens ont été tournées en ces murs. Les chambres sont confortables et rénovées. Pensez à bien réserver en avance d'avril à novembre, l'hôtel au très bon rapport qualité prix se retrouvant très souvent pris d'assaut à la belle saison.

Rooms are small, but clean and well kept up. Think European mom and pop hotel.
Access is weird. They are supposed to call you the morning of your stay to set an appointment to check in. After noon I finally called. They told me to call the number on the door and I'd be met. I did. A guy showed up and didn't greet us. I thought he was a hotel guest. Nope. He was there to check me in. Acted like I was bothering him.
Once checked in access was fine. Parking lot that the hotel will sell you a day pass to park in.
Room was, as I said, small, but nice. HOWEVER, I reserved a room with 2 queen beds. The beds were twin, not queen. Way too small for my liking.
The hotel was not full, but for some reason the unpleasant check in agent gave us a room facing the main street. Very noisy. Especially on trash pick up day.
There was a nice little outdoor nook on the second floor with three tables. Great for a quiet wine and cheese getaway from the busyness. Needs some attention though as many of the plants were dead and the decorations need updating.

The rooms are quite old and without any modern conveniences, but the process reflects that, and it's usually the least expensive place in Sausalito. If you just want a good clean and comfortable room in a great location, this is a good choice.
