Steam room and Jacuzzi were not working. The sauna was the only thing available. Sucks because it was the main reason we tried this spot out. Very pet friendly ????.

This place is really poorly managed. Check-in took an hour in line after coming back two hours later because the line was way too long. They didn't have most people's rooms ready at 6 pm because they were still being cleaned. The rooms are newly renovated, but the wifi doesn't work in the rooms. You have to go to the lobby for wifi. The TV didn't work even after maintenance claims to have fixed it. They double charge your credit card for the room rate, and when you finally get a manager on the phone after several calls, he tells you he'll look into it and never gets back to you. Then you'll never get him on the phone again. Do yourself a favor and find a place that is better managed so that your vacation doesn't turn into more work than it's worth. Also, the rooms have no nose insulation, so you can hear everything going on in the room next to you.

Terrible experience.
It has been dropping water from the ceiling in our room. The receptionist was not helpful at all. Our room phone wasn't working either so we had to go down in person, once we told the receptionist, she told me to go back to the room and she would call somebody.
A couple of hours later, we still can't use the toilet without getting a shower...
Also, the wifi is not working properly.
Only 2 stars because the rooms are clean and the location seems modern.
Update: nobody came to fix the issue or offered us a different room/discount because our restroom was inaccessible to us all stay. We had to use a restroom in the lobby. I would give 0 stars if I could.

It is very dirty and smokey, and some rooms have no safes or working phones. Customer service is non-existent. The front desk gave us a lecture about not asking for simple amenities. The front desk refused to call a manager. AS our stay connected, we noticed a leak from a fire sprinkler that left a rusty stain on the carpet.

3 night stay at a nice spacious room. I would definitely stay here again. From other guest, it was recently renovated. Came with a mini fridge and microwave. All of the guest really enjoyed the robes that were available, and wore them when walking to the hot tub which was hot and clean (pool was also heated, but didn't go in). There was a dj playing by the pool and the hot tub was packed with party-goers at 8 pm on a Saturday.

There's a restaurant right next door (Bar Sierra), which is convenient and Black Tie Ski Rental company picks up your rentals at a rack by the lobby. They also had a indoor fireplace with board games which was cool.

There's a free red and teal bus across the street, that'll take you into the Mammoth mountain village.

Negatives
- No housekeeping throughout our stay. I was hoping for the bed to be made and trash to be taken out but that never happened
- Lobby knocks on your door loudly at 10:30 to ensure you're leaving at checkout time, even though we paid extra for a late checkout
- 1 ply toilet paper
- The map is sort of like a maze with many staircases, difficult to find the sauna and steam room
- If you stay on the first floor, you can hear all the footsteps (however, easier to stay on the first floor than figure out the 2nd floor maze)
- The steam room wasn't working
- Room was freezing cold when we got there and took hours to warm up once we turned the heat on

I am writing an honest review, the location of this hotel is great, the rooms are a good size BUT you can hear everything around (people upstairs, next door) and overall the rooms were clean. I had seen reviews about the rude staff and brushed it off but I am here to WARN you, beware!!! The staff at check in barely greeted us, anytime we had a question there was no interest in a conversation with us, which made me question, why do they even work in hospitality if they're going to act like that?

Anyways, the big problem here is both my partner and I have been charged random charges on our cards, I called the property and was brushed off and was told I can only inquire about this issue via email, which I did, and I have yet to hear a response. I have emailed them everyday and have yet to receive a single reply. So moral of the story, be careful with this hotel. Now I am dealing with this nonsense post vacation. Will not be coming back here. Horrible customer service.

My daughter and I stayed at Outbound Mammoth during Christmas this past year and had a fantastic stay. The rooms have all been updated to be super clean and modern while still keeping that "cabin" feeling. Full kitchen, beautiful glass shower and the heated floors in the bathroom were definitely our favorite. We had a great view of the mountains and a fireplace. Brett & Judith were so sweet to us and even upgraded our room upon check in. Love the lobby and close, walk in parking as well. This is the only place in Mammoth we will stay from now on!! Thank you guys!!

This hotel was recently renovated, and everything about it is excellent. I’ve stayed in both the cabin and the fireplace suite, and they’re both very nice rooms. The cabin is very modern, and the fireplace suite is more of a classic older hotel room, but the fireplace makes is unbelievably cozy after a day of skiing.
Great hot tub & common areas of the hotel, and free coffee and tea in the lobby is nice to have and worth leaving the room for in the morning. The crepe truck on the property is SO GOOD. The soaps in the room are a nice luxurious touch. This is my go-to Mammoth hotel from now on!

Its sad because we have been here before and this time around it was not up to par. The hallways look dirty and smell bad, some staff is rude and others look depressed to be here and not happy at all, that already is not a good way to start off a trip. We had a king room that smelled weird and didn't look too appealing. The bathroom and shower didn't look that clean either. Lucky for us we carry disinfecting spray everywhere and wipes. It's super expensive now and not worth it.

glad to have stayed here - warm pool n tub, fun place with a restaurant bar - and a crepes place in the corner. good room amenities soft pillows clean sheets bathrobes n warm. did you say airbnb it - nah. it's a hit or miss with airbnb units - early check outs etc - I like em for big family trips - but then several rooms or there villas n cabins are better

i have issues
because you charged my card extra $700 without permission
and i saw owner respond under some review
you said want follow up
but how ???
we called several times
nobody answered our email
nobody responded to our call
because your supervisor wasn't there

when we arrived, front desk staff gave us a wrong room , we talked them they gave us another room ( we was there feb23-feb25)
and we paid for our room

‏march 2th ,i realized they also charged my credit card ($700 without permission) for the wrong room too , when I called the hotel, they said it was a mistake because we tought you have 2 room , they put a note for follow up and told me someone will call you sunday to return the money, i was waiting at sunday but they didn't respond to me , i sent emails but didn't get any answer,
monday i called again to follow up, front desk answerd & said with a bad attitude our supervisor is not here we can't do anything!!!!!!!
‏you realy should send your employees to customer service training.
we still wait to someone call us back and resolve this issue ....

‏ are constantly traveling but for the first time we didn't have a good experience.
‏as soon as we entered the hotel they gave us the wrong room, we reserved a balcony room with Mountain view but they gave us a little room with a small window , when we called front dest , a lady answered & said we have no more room , we upset but asked go down the price of this simple room but she said with a bad attitude no we can't!!!! after that we talked with her supervisor he promised to give us a better room for just waiting half an hour , but when we called back to confirm it the same lady said you should wait 3-4 hours !!!! we don't have any room ready and our supervisor left , we got realy tired , one hours later after so much headache finally they gave us a better room (but room that wasn't same as we reserved)

Absolutely amazing place, you don’t need to leave, it has it all.
Great bar area and surround seating at fireplace, got to listen to amazing jazz / saxophone while sipping on a great glass of wine, and playing connect 4.
Leslie at front desk was so welcoming and helpful, a great representative of this place.
We went to the restaurant both nights, again, live music, food was great, and fantastic ambience!
We are looking forward to coming back here.
Perfectly located, walking distance to Vons, staggering distance to the shuttle.
I can’t say enough good things about this place, we had an amazing time.

I encountered a number of things during my stay that didn't meet my expectations, but the key lasting impression were the staff. Everyone I talked to listened attentively to what I felt & needed, and worked with me to figure out a solution that would meet my needs and make my stay a satisfying experience.

I'd say if you have specific or nonnegotiable expectations for your stay, it would be good to call beforehand and just let them know so you are taken care of. You can rest assured, though, no matter what arises, the team is genuinely dedicated to making sure you feel cared for and that you got your money's worth.

Special shoutout to Leslie at the front desk and Debbie on the sales/management team, who seriously bent over backwards to make me feel like royalty.

Wish I could give this place a better review but it is just not worth the price. Got in a little before 1am. Keys didn’t work. Had to try 3 more sets until finally they checked us into a different room. At this point it was 2am and we had been standing outside in the cold. New room had no trash can, fridge (we had stopped at grocery store on way in and had items that needed to be refrigerated), microwave, coffee maker, dog bed we requested. Went to front desk next morning and asked about these things. Turns out there was a note left at front desk saying to put us in a different room but night shift missed it. They had put us in a room that wasn’t meant to be rented as it was part of the owners suite. Only perk was the bidet lol. We moved all of our stuff in the morning, causing us to be late to ski. We were told they’d do something to make it right by the end of our trip. Nothing happened. On top of that, walls extremely thin, enough to listen to neighbors watching entirety of step brothers. Bar was nice but I ordered a cosmopolitan and they gave me a lemon drop. Place has good potential but just isn’t worth the price even a little bit.
