Prestigieux établissement un peu désuet qui a connu son heure de gloire dans les années 1930-1970. Grand parc, piscines, etc.
Ne serait-ce que pour prendre un verre ou profiter de ses piscines, on adore ce palace romantique fondé en 1936 qui accueillit le roi Farouk d’Égypte, Daphne du Maurier et les familles royales de Grèce et d’Angleterre. Certes, les chambres sont vintage, mais l'établissement a su conserver l'essentiel de sa grandeur passée : grand parc arboré, courts de tennis, spa, billard, bars, restaurant et petit musée avec voitures anciennes. Location de VTT, local à skis, jeux pour enfants, randonnées à pied ou en VTT, parking et navette aéroport.

The hotel is a wonderful place giving the chance to enjoy those nice autumn ???? moments
Since 1930s, still the same after 100years,
Reception was done online, room ready. Got the keys
* even if the room was cleaned before we arrived. Toilet bin was full and smelling foul of last occupants. Photos included.
* found a bug
Rooms
Superior supposedly renovated with balcony and old carpeted floor.
100 year old bathtub furniture and beds from another era.
The lcd tv had few channels.
There was a mini fridge.
And tea/coffee making equipment.
Also a safe that it was 50 years old.
Heating is not working still (Nov) but new airconditioning was working fine.
Water was hot. Thank g.
Wifi was sometimes working some times not.
Mobile reception was bad
Fitness
Gym a room 3x3 with few weights and 2 machines
Sauna was working ok.
Interior swimming pool was best feature of the fitness.
There is an Exterior swimming pool not operating and a playground.
Dine in
Cafe/restaurant was ok. You could get water as there is not store open in the village after 5pm
Dinner
20€ per person buffet style was indeed good with good selection and tasty food. Well done to the chef.
Breakfast
Average. Good selection but everything was cold.
Mixed feelings. Was an experience but we will not return back. There are a lot of better places to stay in a lively village up on the, mountains with less supposedly stars but more cosy and luxurious than these.
