Ce monastère orthodoxe grec (Ιερά Μονή Παναγίας Αμασγούς/Iera Moni Panagias Amasgous) se trouve dans un beau site naturel, près du village de Monagri/Μονάγρι (environ 160 habitants). Fondé au XIIe siècle, il possède une jolie petite église ornée de fresques des XIIe, XIIIe et XVIe siècles. Installé près d’une source dite « miraculeuse », le complexe est occupé par une communauté de moniales qui vendent des icônes, des herbes de la montagne, du pain…

היינו זוג עם פעוט בן שנתיים. קיבלנו מיטת תינוק מצוינת.
ה"סטודיו" ענק ומתאים למשפחה לגמרי. נקי ונעים, טלוויזיה חכמה, מאובזר במקרר, תנור, כיריים ומטבח מסודר. מרפסת ענקית!
הכפר לופו הוא פשוט מקסים, מאוד מיוחד. האנשים מאוד מסבירי פנים.
ארוחת הבוקר במסעדה של המלון מפנקת מאוד. ירקות, גבינות, נקניקים, דגנים, ביצים וריבות. מיצים טבעיים שהם מכינים במקום, בדגש על מיץ הרימונים המדהים!
בערב אכלנו גם במסעדה והיה מצוין. אוכל ביתי, מקומי פשוט וטעים. הבעלים, קוסטה הוא איש מקסים שאוהב מאוד את ישראל ואוהב לארח. העסק הוא משפחתי ויש להם גם בר יין מקסים עם גלידרייה שאפשר לבלות בו בכל שעות היום.
מומלץ בחום!
When we arrived noone could find our reservation.
They offered us another room at a discount, that was less nice than the one we booked in the first place and more expensive since it was way too big for two people.
Worst, we figured out that our room was on top of a bar that is in the basement playing life music with open windows and kids running around in the streets and screaming for hours, even on our terrace till late at night.
A night with late and therefore bad sleep did not get us any understanding of the owners next morning.
