Not a 4 star hotel at all, solidly 2-3 star.

The rooms are really outdated. Our tv was tiny and probably older than me. There was no mini fridge.
The doors only have one key so you can't split up for the day unless you want someone to be locked out of the room. The walls are not soundproof at all, no feeling of privacy.

Booking.com mentions it has two pools, one indoor and one outdoor, this is incorrect it is just an outdoor pool they can enclose during the colder months. The pool needs renovating as well as there are lots of chipped tiles you can scrape yourself on. You need to ask at the reception for pool towels which can run out it seems and are really old, we got one with 4 patches where holes had been patched up.
Did not have the impression the pool had been cleaned any time recently.

The gym is small and has badly maintained equipment, it has no added value. You'll get a better workout walking outside.

Do not get a massage here, it is a complete scam, i cannot emphasise this enough, do not.

Parking too small to accommodate the amount of guests in the off season.

The bartender was good but went on holiday after our second day there leaving noone who could make the cocktails on offer(4-5 euros/cocktail which was a decent price). Don't get the sandwich offered at the bar.

The ladies working the front desk were kind and helpful.

Breakfast here is fine, decent selection.

Its a decent place to reach the rest of the island due to its central location but there is very little to do near the hotel itself. If I were to return to Madeira I'd stay in Funchal, you'll have a much broader selection of places to go out in the evening.

Recently saw this review was taken down due to irrelivent information. Everything mentioned above is relivent to the stay we had.

Kleine gehorige kamers en sterk verouderd allemaal. Wel super vriendelijk personeel verder hoor! Al valt er wel nog een hoop winst te behalen in de bediening van het restaurant, gemiste kans!

Dit is een goed hotel voor mensen die een huurwagen bij hebben. Hier passeren geen taxi’s of bussen wat het moeilijker maakt om zich te verplaatsen. Onze kamer was al wat verouderd maar het was anders zeker een top hotel met een top uitzicht op de Vallei van Vicente. ????

Znakomity hotel położony w północnej części wyspy. Przepyszne śniadania i basen z pięknym widokiem na góry. Moim zdaniem dużo lepiej mieszkać na północy wyspy bo tam czuje się prawdziwy klimat Madery, pogoda bywa czasem słoneczna czasem mglista i deszczowa ale to właśnie nadaje temu miejscu urok. Sao Vincente w dzień przyciąga turystów z całej wyspy, a wieczorem pustoszeje i to jest niesamowite przechadzać się w takim miejscu w kompletnej ciszy i spokoju.

Alojamiento ideal para disfrutar de la naturaleza y visitar el norte de la isla. El personal muy amable y atento. Tuvimos un problema con el coche de alquiler y en seguida nos consiguieron otro. Tanto el chico de la recepción como el señor que estaba al cargo de los desayunos nos ayudaron para solucionar nuestro problema. Las habitaciones no son nada del otro mundo pero por el servicio y la calidad precio, repetiría sin duda.

Jorge was amazing and so helpful. Even when they were very busy he did his best to help us with anything we needed. Very nice hotel, good for a break while hiking. They have very many fun activities and a good restaurant/bar we had a great experience I highly recommend!

Reservamos este hotel una noche por Booking, estábamos un poco preocupados por las reseñas que vimos y que nos íbamos a encontrar. Cogimos 6 hoteles diferentes en Madeira para 10 dias y sinceramente es de los que más me gustó, por tranquilidad, ubicación, encanto, la habitación muy bien, desayuno bueno...no pude poner la reseña en Booking por eso la pongo aquí, he viajado mucho y creo que este hotel esta infravalorado y se merece mejor puntuación

Top Hotel, gute Lage, sehr sauber, günstig.....sehr gutes Frühstück, leider begrenzte Parkplätze.

Hotel rural, quartos amplos e confortáveis. O rececionista um pouco antipático.

Wel wat gedateerd, maar daar kraait geen haan naar.
Een heerlijk ontbijt, geen vraag was teveel.

Das Frühstück war das Highlight. Es gibt leider nur wenig zu Fuß erreichende Restaurants. Im Hotel gibt es lediglich kleinere Snacks. Die Zimmer waren in Ordnung. Ruhige Lage. Für 30€ pro Person ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Unclean room, common facilities are worn out, or broken. Lunch was terrible and it seemed we were disturbing the waitress, breakfast products seemed from the supermarket. What a pity, this could have been a nice hotel but it’s completely let go, especially compared to all the other quintas we have been until now.

Нам с друзьями очень понравился этот отель. Очень уютный, тихий, персонал доброжелательный и услужливый. Завтраки питательные, жалко конечно, что однообразные, но в целом всего хватает, для хорошего утреннего рациона.
Очень впечатляет сохраненная аутентичность этого отеля, что делает его интересным, и ощущение будто ты живешь в музее и также есть ощущения, будто ты дома. На машине вообще не проблема добираться ко всем популярным локациям. На парковке всегда было место. Отдыхали в декабре, пару дней были дожди, из-за расположения на севере, но с машиной это совсем не проблема.
Есть сауна, в первый день после перелетов мы ходили за 5 евро на человека, также есть бассейн, только он был холодный в это время, после сауны было даже отлично охладиться.
У отеля есть свой хранитель - русский голубой кот, который обезоруживает своей дружелюбностью и гостеприимством :)
Всегда провожает до двери номера, иногда может зайти проверить все ли в порядке у вас внутри и мягкая ли ваша кровать ????

Pongo una estrella porque es la mínima puntuación que se puede poner.

Un estalagem que en su momento debió de estar bien pero que con el coronavirus perdió calidad y cada vez está peor. El restaurante que tenían que se llamaba "o Caramuxo" Está cerrado y la calefacción del hotel en muchas habitaciones no funciona.

Exelente local para descansar.

Wir haben hier vom 23.11.-30.11. Unsere Nächte verbracht. Da wir zum Wandern auf Madeira waren, war unser Aufenthalt eigentlich auf die Abend-und Nachtstunden beschränkt. Das Frühstück war sehr gut (Bewertungen, die angeben, dass es hier jeden Tag nur das gleiche gibt verstehe ich nicht. Fahrt ihr jeden Tag ein riesiges Buffet bei euch zuhause auf?)
Macht nicht den Fehler und nehmt Cola oder irgendeinen Süßkram mit aufs Zimmer, die Ameisen haben sich sehr darüber gefreut. Nachdem wir Insektenspray besorgt haben, war das Problem aber auch weitestgehend gelöst. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Zimmer war stets ordentlich gereinigt. Die Lage vom Hotel ist sehr gut, da man schnell im Ortskern ist und auch schnell auf der Straße gen Süden.
Alles in allem empfehlenswert.

Super Hotel zum super Preis, wir haben 85€ zu zwei inklusive Frühstück bezahlt.
Es gibt einen Pool und sogar eine Sauna+Dampfsauna+Wheerlpool (Benutzung 5€ pP) das Frühstück ist sehr lecker und umfangreich.
Einziger Nachteil: Das Restaurant hat abends geschlossen, da sie keinen Koch finden. Aber es gibt gute Restaurants in der nähe und die Angestellten sind auch sehr hilfsbereit und nehmen sich die Zeit einen zu beraten, ein Taxi zu bestellen etc.

Es gibt eine schöne Bar die bis 23:00 offen hat und auch Freizeit Angebote wie Minigolf und Pool Billard.

Nur die Lage ist nicht perfekt (zu fuß 40 Minuten an die Küste) aber mit Strandlage wäre der Preis wohl auch deutlich höher.

Un hotel de 4 estrellas?? Fue un cuatro estrellas hace mucho tiempo ahora ya no. Hotel descuidado, con habitaciones y baños antiguas.

Sitio muy descuidado. Al llegar nos encontramos la habitación llena de HORMIGAS. Y nos dijeron que no podían hacer nada hasta el día siguiente. Al día siguiente seguía habiendo hormigas y fuimos nosotros mismos quienes compramos Insecticida porque nos moríamos del asco.

El desayuno bien si bajas a las 8 de la mañana como bajes a las 9 no queda de nada y no reponen mucho más. Pero estaba bueno hasta que un día nos tocó una tortita con sorpresa, dejo la foto adjunta.

El pasaje del terror la verdad. Que pena que la gente quiera dar un servicio tan lamentable.

Mala experiencia.. las habitaciones muy viejas y con hormigas por todas partes.. puedo entender que al estar en el campo haya alguna, pero que haya muchas subiendo por las paredes, en el baño y por la cama no..
Restaurante cerrado según ellos por falta de personal, lo cual según las reseñas llevan diciendo durante más de un año.. y sin nada al rededor hace difícil buscar sitio para cenar cerca del hotel.
Se lleva 2 estrellas y no 1 por el desayuno, lo único que me gustó del sitio, eso y el gatete que había por allí paseando y que te recibía todos los días

Excellent choix! Le personnel est accueillant, le petit déjeuner très varié. Les repas du soir sont également à recommander. La piscine couverte est un plus!
