You will find the second best cacio e pepe in Rome at Felice in Testaccio. Here they are served with thicker tonnarelli which add more enjoyment to a dish traditionally served with spaghetti. You will be amazed as the waiter does the final mixing of the cacio e pepe in front of you

Popped on here for lunch on Sunday. We got there just before the kitchen closed. But they were still very happy to serve us. The food good. It’s not the place to go if you are after an instagram able experience. But if you like good Italian food that will leave you happy and satisfied then this is a place to visit. I especially recommend the buffalo mozzarella.

One of the more upmarket restaurants in Roma, would recommend booking a table.

Food was tasty but at a price compared to other places. Still worthy of a visit!

Came here in 2016 and it was amazing. Nice local restaurant, a little upscale, but refined.
Returned in April 2024 to a packed restaurant with no space to move. I felt like a sardine packed in a little box.

Waiter comes- Tried to order my pasta first, then appetizer or something else if I was still hungry- was told no because the pasta would take too long to cook. I caved under pressure and ordered some appetizers…

I also tried to order wine with dinner, was told no- I have to wait for the “sommelier”. No one came around until after my unwanted appetizers came. Fine.

Artichoke (bland), meatballs and eggplant (good but nothing I’ll remember after a week), and mozzarella for the table arrived.

Sommelier comes… it’s a kid, saying “you didn’t order wine??”

Whatever. I smile and ask for a half bottle of Frascati.

We finish the appetizers… now I’m pretty full.

Pasta arrives… Cacio e Pepe was the star of the show. Giant plate, exactly as I recall in 2016. Absolutely delish!!!

Only problem, I could only eat 3-4 bites because I was full from the appetizers that I didn’t want- and was forced to order.

And the icing on the cake? 48€ per person.

In Rome, there’s lots of choices for pasta…
Next time I’ll chose another restaurant that lets me order a pasta without telling me why I shouldn’t.

This was our second time here and I am really sad to say we were disappointed. The table outside was really small and crammed. Service was really spotty. Food was bland. We received our appetizer before we were able to order our wine. I am really sorry to say that I probably will not go there for dinner again.

Uno dei migliori ristoranti di Roma. Cibo tipico romano buonissimo e personale molto gentile e disponibile (cosa non scontata negli altri ristoranti). Cacio e pepe, carbonara e carciofo alla romana fantastici.

I think the name felice is ironic as the staff seems the opposite of “felice” and rather over-stressed. This is I think what happens to once family-owned businesses that start focusing on cash. Not the first time I have been here, but this time the service was the worst. All the “tourists” with non-italian names on reservations were seated next to the kitchen area with cooks constantly ringing the bell, dishes cluttering, waiters coming-going hurriedly. At some point, the entire staff was gathered in this area to talk out an issue. The problem is that I actually do speak italian and understand everything they are discussing. The food is obviously good, but I won’t be back as the service and overall atmosphere are unpleasant.
