Food was tasty but at a price compared to other places. Still worthy of a visit!
Great service with Matteo as a waiter, funny and charming!
Must book before going on the official website.
Returned in April 2024 to a packed restaurant with no space to move. I felt like a sardine packed in a little box.
Waiter comes- Tried to order my pasta first, then appetizer or something else if I was still hungry- was told no because the pasta would take too long to cook. I caved under pressure and ordered some appetizers…
I also tried to order wine with dinner, was told no- I have to wait for the “sommelier”. No one came around until after my unwanted appetizers came. Fine.
Artichoke (bland), meatballs and eggplant (good but nothing I’ll remember after a week), and mozzarella for the table arrived.
Sommelier comes… it’s a kid, saying “you didn’t order wine??”
Whatever. I smile and ask for a half bottle of Frascati.
We finish the appetizers… now I’m pretty full.
Pasta arrives… Cacio e Pepe was the star of the show. Giant plate, exactly as I recall in 2016. Absolutely delish!!!
Only problem, I could only eat 3-4 bites because I was full from the appetizers that I didn’t want- and was forced to order.
And the icing on the cake? 48€ per person.
In Rome, there’s lots of choices for pasta…
Next time I’ll chose another restaurant that lets me order a pasta without telling me why I shouldn’t.
