Hotel refused to waive off penalty charges (genuine reasons) and their customer service behavior was simply condescending and unacceptable. Snooty hotel. Strong recommend avoiding. Poor value for money....

UPDATE: I thank you General Manager Claudia Gallo for your response and would like to respond to it to set some things straight so that any future patron has the proper knowledge before booking.
1st. We didn't "enter your structure or stayed with you" because we were robbed of all of our belongings on our first day in Italy and had to emergentely fly home due to thieves stealing our 18 month olds life saving epinephrine pens.
2nd. If your "customer care staff is available 24 hours in order to give all needed assistance to your guests" why was I unable to reach anyone. Furthermore upon return home, why did it take over a day for my credit card company to reach anyone at the hotel?
FACT: I waited on hold with the credit card company who tried for 45 minutes to reach anyone at the hotel without success. The credit card company tried multiple times to reach a representative at the hotel and it took 1 whole day later and multiple attempts.
FACT: Multiple attempts were made by myself as well as my credit card company to cancel booking prior to arrival without success. The credit card company was conveniently only able to reach a staff member at hotel lord byron AFTER our stay would have been over.
FACT: the hotel asked for a police report in which was provided to you and you still refused to refund.
Claudia I would refrain from writing, that you "assumed" we lived through a difficult moment as anyone getting robbed of all their belongings their 18 month old childs life saving medication, and not even having a clean diaper to put your child in after being robbed of your stuff is a brutal , violating , horrific experience for anyone.
Not only will we NEVER give Lord Byron "one more opportunity for a future stay in your Eternal City"
We hope that this helps people avoid staying at your hotel in your "eternal city" of crime.

Disheartening experience. On our very first full day in Italy our rental car was broken into (glass window shattered - all over our babies car seat) and all of our belongings stolen. The thieves took ALL of our luggage ALL of our babies luggage we were left with nothing but our bathing suits and flip flops on. We didn’t even have a dry diaper to put on our son. We could no longer stay in Italy due to our emergency need to get our 18 month old his LIFE SAVING MEDICATION since that was stolen. We filled a police report and tried to cancel this hotel multiple times without any help. We filed an unsuccessful claim with our chase credit card to get a refund since we never were able to check in to this hotel. The hotel even asked for a police report from the chase credit card which we provided them and yet they still would not refund us. My husband and I were in a dire need to get our son home as his safety was our number one priority and this hotel just totally failed us. Absolutely disgusted with this hotel and chase credit card as we booked directly with them.

From freshly baked pastries to a wide selection of fresh fruits, the breakfast was a culinary delight. We had three rooms booked for five people staying two nights. Everyone agreed that the hotel was extremely comfortable, relaxing position, and the staff being the highlight. The rooms were appropriately configured for a comfortable 30 bedroom five star hotel with a spacious bathroom, balcony, minibar, refreshing toiletries, and functional Wi-Fi. People have often commented about the location not being the best but we found this location just outside of the city center to be a true highlight. Located just outside the park you do not have so much foot or car traffic which made the stay extremely relaxing and enjoyable. The walk to the city center is pleasant. The breakfast is a very Italian affair and we did not have time to enjoy their restaurant. Compliments must also go to their concierge, who arranged dinner, both nights for us in the most wonderful restaurants located 5 to 10 minutes from the hotel. The ladies and the gentleman at the reception did a remarkable job and are truly dedicated to the guest service experience and we’re always a delight to talk to presenting themselves always with a friendly and positive conversation. If you’re looking for a centrally located hotel, this is not the hotel for you but if you like a little morning, walk into the city center and located in a peaceful residential area, this is absolutely the hotel for you. With only 30 rooms, the guest experience is extremely pleasant and personalized. A solid 5 star hotel.

Literally just walked into my house in Milwaukee Wi.. I just had the BEST EXPERIENCE ever.
I walked in and was in a home. So welcoming. That staff at the front desk is always there to answer any questions or solve any issue.
The valet OUT FRONT IS A MASTER of all traits (He never slows down-Luigi
Then Alexander all purpose man and employee. Alway there and always says YES! Never heard no from him. Excels in everything he does.

Das Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb von Rom in einem Wohnviertel. Taxi in die Stadt ist notwendig, allerdings dauert es keine 3 Minuten und ein Taxi ist da. Das Hotel ist für 5 Sterne vergleichsweise günstig, aber man muss eben die Taxikosten dazuzählen.
Es gibt bessere aber auch viel schlechtere 5 Sterne Hotels. Dafür ist das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis absolut in Ordnung. Sehr guter Service, sehr sauber, gutes Frühstück, grosse Zimmer, alles auf 5 Sterne Niveau. Die Rezeption müssen wir unterschiedlich bewerten: es gibt Mitarbeiterinnen, die sagen einfach, "Die Tickets für das Museum bekommen wir nicht" und es gibt "Shary", die wirklich erfolgreich alles versucht hat und jede gewünschte Reservierung erfolgreich erledigt hat. Ganz großes Kompliment an "Shary" und vielen Dank! Eine grossartige Concierge! Alles in allem ein gelungener Aufenthalt in einem wirklich guten Hotel, das wir empfehlen können.

I just spent two nights at the Hotel Lord Byron and had a wonderful time. It is a bit away from the centre of Rome but the neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful, so for some guests this will be an advantage. It's also very close to the Etruscan Museum, Villa Borghese and the National Museum of Modern Art.
The hotel is really pretty and interesting, with unusual art work everywhere, and really classy decor. The staff are delightful - so helpful and kind. The food is also lovely. The breakfasts had a huge variety of excellent food. The tasting menu at dinner was innovative, fun and delicious. Lastly, the bedroom was very nice and the bed was enormous and extremely comfortable.
I had a great time and hope to return again soon.

Die Piazza del Popolo ist innerhalb weniger Minuten sehr gut zu Fuss erreichbar. Der Weg fuehrt auch an einen schoenen Aussichtspunkt vorbei. Lage fanden wir TOP!
