First time staying in downtown Miami, and I must say I chose the perfect hotel. I had a water view on the 22nd floor over the pool, and the view was amazing! The staff was great and the hotel was nice and updated. Comfy bed, but the pillows were a little bit lacking. Definitely will stay again.

Es el peor hotel de Miami, hace tres semanas me hospedé con mi familia, pagamos un depósito de 150 dólares por noche que devolvían al final de la estadía en 2 a 3 días hábiles. Nunca nos hicieron la devolución, ya me he comunicado con staff y no contestan, son unos ladrones. Evite quedarse en este hotel, hay mejores en la zona y que no te roban el dinero.

At the mouth of the Miami River just across from the history of The Miami Circle towers the Epic that is Kimpto. Get immersed into the Miami skyline while at the same time being just steps away from all the downtown action! Upon arrival, we discovered that our assigned room had a strong odor of cigarettes. We promptly informed the front desk staff and requested a room change. The clerk's response appeared indifferent and lacking in urgency. Initially, we were informed that no alternative rooms were available, but later, it was suggested that we could switch rooms if we were willing to accept a different view. In summary, our experience at the hotel was average, with service that did not meet our expectations.

What a joke! This is definitely a 1 maybe 2 star resort. I have stayed at other kimptons and this one is laughable for the price. The customer service is eye rolling. The texts from customer service are so rude. My privacy sign is on and I asked for a few toothbrushes which I would expect a good hotel to leave in a bag outside the door but instead they knocked super loudly, brought not everything they were supposed to and woke up my kid. The response was - give better instructions. Is the privacy sign on not enough of an instruction? Then there is the tub with jacuzzi buttons that are old and rubbed out so one can’t figure out what each one means and so the tub kept turning on and off randomly and loudly while my kid was sleeping. Then the pool was closed due to a wedding and when traveling with a child for a 1 night stay, it would have been nice to know that using the pool wasn’t going to be an option that afternoon. Overall, I would stay at the JW across the street next time. Oh and allegedly I got an upgrade as a club member except I’m looking at a construction site and the “club” doesn’t exist.

Pretty epic indeed. Rooms were cozy and a good size. A little dusty, but nothing to complain about. Plenty of fancy sports cars up front and great views of the city. A lot of walkable eats and shops too. Excellent pools too with pool service. ????

No coffee maker in the room? Are you kidding me? I can’t think of a single hotel I’ve stayed in the entire WORLD that hasn’t had coffee in the room. Rooms are not very clean either. Cloth headboards have stains on them.

Important note: the water bottles in room are $10 each. They put them under the lamp between beds that covers the top of the bottle that has a little sticker with the price. We had a group of 10 people and no one saw it until over $150 was spent between all our rooms. Also - I had an almost full bottle and they took it and put an unopened one I had to then pay for again. Really sneaky tactic.

Staff is friendly. That’s the only positive I can share.

Every single time I come to Miami I stay at the epic. Easily the nicest hotel in the city! Even if you are on the lowest floor you will have a phenomenal view of city, every single room is great with a spacious balcony. Angel at the front desk checks us in almost every-time and we are always met with great hospitality. The only issue I've ever had was my AC was out in my room (it was in my free upgrade to a king suite mind you), I called front desk and they had a repair man in my room and got my AC fixed in under 20 minutes. Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Miami!

Do NOT recommend. Upon 10:00 am early arrival at Epic Kimpton hotel we were told that the room is not ready and will be as soon as possible since we have diamond membership IHD. However, after 5 hrs of waiting and even mentioning that the I’m pregnant and not feeling well they did not do anything to help or speed the process.
Bad experience.

Beautiful hotel with a very beautiful view! Staff were nice and it is close enough to South Beach (around 15 minutes by car)
Probably more privacy needed between the room itself and the shower though.

03/15/24 at 12:34pm, the man in charge outside for parking, (latino), I’m latina too, so not problem with that. He was very rude and unhelpful, I don’t understand why this prestigious hotel has this kind a person work there. Not recommended parking there. I’m sorry for the hotel but you have to be careful with customer service.

Good morning, today was the second time we have to be in your Hotel for business matters, the person Oscar Cabrera is one of your workers, let me tell you this is the worst customer service, this person is rude, unprofessional, disrespectful, extremely arrogant, for second time we receive the awful experience with your hotel and it’s was thanks to Oscar Cabrera.We are a business person and I don’t think this is good for this Prestigious Hotel. Good morning, today was the second time I have to go for business matters to your Hotel, I’m a towing company and doing personalized services for the clients in Miami and other places. The person Oscar Cabrera for second time was unprofessional, unhelpful, rude and very arrogant. Voy seguido por trabajo y debo reconocer que al principio no era muy fan, pero como lugar de descanso está bueno. Faltan ascensores y gente para atender. Sin embargo, las habitaciones son muy completas y el servicio de la gente que trabaja es muy bueno y atento, espero que estén bien remunerados. La ubicación es buena con respecto al aeropuerto, pero lejos de la playa.

We absolutely love the location of this hotel. However, after a full day of traveling our room was not ready when we arrived and waited an extra 30 minutes. I also called for early housekeeping at 9:30 am. It is now almost 10:30 am. I am now waiting on housekeeping. We paid a lot of money for these rooms and the service portion needs some improvements. A little disappointed with this stay.

The hotel is not one founded on strong service for its guests, poor experience with room selection and management’s response to noise. Adjoining doors are like paper and the rooms are freezing even with the AC turned off, coupled with very cheap bedding. Obvious wear and tear. My bathroom was not properly cleaned. Breakfast took 45 mins and was overcooked. Not recommended, too many other good choices around the area.

The hotel is overall nice and the location is good, personnel working there is very friendly and eager to help.

Do not fall for the water placed in your room like it would be a complimentary water, you will be charged ridiculous $10 per bottle later, without any information about this. You will find on your bill them to be part of "mini-bar".
