Almost there but not quite. Location is great but unfortunately (at the time of this stay and review), smack in the middle of adjacent construction projects. Beach and wait staff were very attentive and great. One elevator was broken all 5 days of the stay. Tons of great restaurant options within walking distance of the hotel and generally felt safe (with 3 kids in tow).

On a bloqué nos cartes.

I stayed at this hotel three times. While my first two experiences were delightful, there has been a noticeable decline in quality since its ownership shifted to Sonesta.

The value does not match the price tag of $500 per night. Guests should rightfully expect a high end service at such a rate.

Here are the issues I encountered:

Room Maintenance: The rooms are poorly maintained, with towels bearing makeup stains, visible wear and tear on furniture, and the use of cheap furnishings.
Noise: Construction noise from both sides of the hotel early in the morning. The walls are thin, allowing guests to hear adjacent rooms.
Overcrowding: The pool and beach areas resemble a cheap Las Vegas pool party venue. On top of this, there was a wedding taking place in the hotel which is already overcrowded.
Pool Area: Pool area ran out of towels for guests many times

It's evident that the hotel is understaffed, which is ultimately a management failure. The blame cannot be placed on the hardworking staff who are doing their best under these circumstances.

This hotel is right on the beachfront so if you plan on just staying at the hotel and doing the room- pool - beach - it’s ideal. Love the menu - food is amazing. We stayed only for a day but the front desk rep was so kind, helpful and always smiling even with the array of people lined up to be attended to. The only issue I experienced was that’s it’s a pretty big hotel with two small elevators and with peak season only one was working- the wait times going up and down were annoying. The other insignificant issue was that during lunch I didn’t order a specific item which I had asked the waiter to remove but he didn’t make a proper note of it I guess - I didn’t send it back and still paid for it, as it’s a simple human error. However, they need to make sure they repeat the order while taking it down and I think the language barrier could have been the crux.
The rooms are very clean and spic and span, though no ventilation in the right squeeze of a washroom.

Overall I was disappointed. We paid extra to stay in a suite. The sofa bed that came with our suite had two large red stains on the cushions that looked disturbing. The bathroom was extremely small. When we went to the beach there were no beach towels even though staff assured us many times that we would get beach towels. And as an FYI, the pool area plays loud techno all the time. It was also very crowded. I was hoping to read and sleep by the pool, but the music made that difficult. The staff person who helped make up the sofa bed was kind.

Hotel elegante e despojado, me senti super à vontade e mimada pelos funcionários.

I attended the Insomniac pool party for Miami music week to see my favorite DJ Matroda. Little did I know I was going to be charged $95 dollars for a vodka redbull, a shot of contreau, and 2 green tea shots. 95 dollars! I get it, this is Miami , experiences are expensive, but after waiting in over an hour to get inside due to inclement weather, then only let us inside for an hour which I believe was to prevent attendees from getting their refund. But 40 dollars for two green tea shots? Then had to wait 40 minutes to even receive these shots? After I also tipped $20 ?? I work in the industry and this is insane, and honestly criminal. This is not hospitality and as a guest I felt I was taken advantage of, Miami Music week or not, if it’s going to be expensive give me decent alcohol and get me my stuff in a timely fashion. How are you going to charge $95 for a green tea shot? Then have me wait 40+ minutes to get them? Unacceptable

Attended an event here and it started pouring rain with thunder and lightning. After announcing over the loud speaker to evacuate to sheltered safety, telling us to go in the hotel, we were then blocked from entering the hotel and forced to exit through one single doorway leading everyone to the ocean while it downpoured. Security was extremely rude and unhelpful in an emergency situation. Hundreds of people forced to move toward the beach in a tropical storm. So severely mishandled and extremely unsafe.

The “night” manager, Asia, is absolutely the rudest most unhelpful person I’ve encountered. Working in hospitality for over 10 years I’m shocked she could be of such position.

Location was pretty good but aside from this, the hotel is below average for the price. The worst thing about the whole experience is they took a “holding deposit” from my card which they still haven’t released despite having already paid the full amount in check out. When I called they informed me it takes 30 days to be released after check out, but they never told me this at the time and so I am unnecessarily £2.3k down. BEWARE!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Nautilus Sonesta Miami Beach in March, and it was an absolutely fabulous experience. Situated in the heart of South Beach with a stunning beachfront location, the hotel offers breathtaking views of the ocean. I opted for the king oceanfront balcony room, and it exceeded all expectations with its incredible vista.

The hotel itself is a masterpiece, adorned with tasteful art and lush greenery throughout, creating a serene and welcoming atmosphere. What truly sets Nautilus Sonesta apart is its exceptional customer care and service. Every staff member, from reservations to housekeeping, exemplified professionalism and hospitality.

A special mention goes to VIP manager Alexis Margulies, who went above and beyond to ensure our celebration was unforgettable. From assisting with room selection to arranging thoughtful decorations and travel arrangements, Alexis truly elevated our experience.

The beach service provided by the hotel was impeccable, offering everything from comfortable chairs and umbrellas to gourmet food and beverages. I couldn't have asked for a more relaxing and indulgent beach getaway. I wholeheartedly recommend Nautilus Sonesta Miami Beach to anyone seeking a luxurious and memorable stay in South Beach, and I personally cannot wait to return.

Keine Erholung…

Positives: very clean, comfortable beds, renovated bathrooms, good location, beach access. Nice staff.
Negatives:bathroom was extremely small, no counter space to put your stuff, no luggage bench in the room, no teabags,
They charged for just one teabag which you expect to be in the room to begin with and for an umbrella at the beach. They only provided chairs and towels for two people at the beach while we paid a for a room for 4 people. With $550/ night you would expect a more generous accommodations.

Beach front location and nice staff are the only good things about this hotel. The walls are thin and you hear next room conversations and booming walking sounds from floor above keep you awake at night. On top of that there is super loud construction noise next door. I regret staying here.

We stayed here for 4 nights for March break. The hotel is very conveniently located beachside and near restaurants and shops. Mostly walking distance to everything. The in-house cafe and restaurant were very nice, lots of options for food, vegan pancakes were delicious. Only thing is the room was not very big and some furniture was dated. But sheets and matress were comfortable. Didn't have a microwave and laundry on facility so that was an inconvenience. Also if traveling to South Beach be aware there is an 20% service charge in most restaurants on top of your food. Miami Beach is overall beautiful !

Prior to booking this stay for 2 rooms, 2 families over $3000 for 3 days; I called I called the hotel twice and asked them if there was any construction on site or in the surrounding of the hotel. 2 different people on the phone assured me that there was NO construction whatsoever. When we got there it was night time so we wouldn’t really see outside. The first night we tried to take a shower (with a baby) and there was no hot water in the room. We called the front desk and the FD person responded with attitude that the baby was loud and it was impossible that only 1 to room didn’t have hot water so he came to check and obviously there was no hot water. We had to changed room at midnight with a baby. The next morning (in our ocean front bedroom) I was woken up by the loud noise from construction on both side of the hotel - Huge tower cranes and jackhammer at 7:30AM!!! That day we received a notice that there won’t be ANY water from 10pm onward. I wanted to change hotel but with 2 families and a baby it would have been too much trouble. The next day we received a notice that there won’t be electricity at 9am. Meanwhile that morning we’re trying to go have breakfast (that we pay for) but the host notify us that we can’t eat outside because there is a private party. Who goes to Miami to be inside?? We were celebrating my 30th birthday and my family came all the way from
Europe. This stay was a really bad experience all the way around. Started with lies, then attitude and definitively and uncomfortable stay. The following day we moved to a better and cheaper hotel.

1 positive note. The pool staff was great!

Avoid if you can. This resort does not accept cash, it really makes things difficult. What kind of hotel doesn't accept cash? I'd stay elsewhere.
