WOW. TALKING ABOUT HIGHWAY ROBBERIES. Never Ever Again. STAY AWAY.
The place looks like a hostel with some decorations, the entrance is through a restaurant which is noisy in the evening and you can hear the people from the rooms, the reception is a kind of strange counter at the end of the restaurant, everything is not up to standard and very simple, not like a 4 stars hotel supposed to be. the rooms are old in the shower there is no place to put even a toiletry bag, if you want to sit down and drink Something, the hotel does not serve anything, we were assured by phone that the hotel has a beach chairs and umbrellas the most important thing in Miami, since the hotel does not have a pool, we called specifically to ask and when we actually arrived it turned out that we had to carry a chair and a towel, the hotel does not have a beach and the hotel is not on the beach at all so it is necessary Walk 10 minutes with roads and carry chairs.
You are sitting in a public place with a folding chair, for the price we paid we could have taken a hotel with a pool and breakfast and a private beach with lounge chairs, we paid an exorbitant price for the brand and got a hostel with a different name, simply cheating
In addition to everything, the internet in the room did not work and we had important conversations at work and we could not have them, we had to go to a cafe in the rain to have the conversations when we paid for a 4 star hotel. We spent 3 days on the Internet and they told us that a technician was coming, who never arrived!
Faena are all over the street, a clothing store, an art store, designer stores, a luxury hotel, everything has their name big on the outside, why isn't there a name here? The booking is with Casa Faena, As if they are ashamed of this hostel, so why are you deceiving people as if this hotel is part of Faena when outside there is the name of another hotel? The main thing is that they put a book by the founder Alan Faena in the rooms. Shame.
Bad - VERY loud, paper thin walls, dance club below you.
the location of this hotel is great. Right next to the beach and the style of the building and rooms is very nice.
The major problem wit this place is how noisy it is. The restaurant on the first floor turns into a night club and you can hear the thump thump thump of the music until 11 or 12 at night. We had a room that faced the street and was over the restaurant. The noise really carries, since the building is all tile and stucco. Echo chamber. Sunday morning they had some music in the restaurant that you could hear in our room too. I went down stairs and the volume wasn't very high in the the restaurant, but you could still hear it in our room on the third floor.
The walls are also thin or have no insulation. Our neighbors were having rather loud sex and their tv was turned up so we could hear it clearly. they quieted down after we pounded on the wall.
Do not stay at this hotel. Casa Faena is incredibly loud, with noise coming from the upstairs club until 3 am on both weekdays and weekends. Constant flow of very intoxicated people who are not staying on the premises.
The bass reverberates throughout the rooms on the third floor, being at a constant 60 - 70 dB throughout the night. Once the club closes, they move furniture around, so it is guaranteed that you will not be able to sleep until 4 am. The staff are incredibly unhelpful about this matter and will fully ignore any requests for relocation in an incredibly rude manner.
Not to mention that the downstairs cafe / restaurant is also unbelievably loud at least until midnight. The elevator to the rooms is located next to the public restaurant and the same one that goes to the club (there is only one). It does not require a room key to operate, so truly anyone can enter guest floors and linger in the lounge area outside the rooms. Very reassuring and safe when you are staying solo.... plus, the room doors are very thin and old. It takes a while to figure out the "deadbolt" as well since the lock, at least on my door, was installed very loosely.
Overall, It is very overpriced for the service, safety, state of the rooms, and location. Wish I could speak to management, but there is no way to get in touch with them.
Lastly, unlike all other hotels in the area, they do not have any lounge chairs on the beach. You have to request plastic portable chairs with the concierge, which they will never explicitly tell you about unless you ask for it.
Please avoid this hotel at all costs.
*cool building, decor & attention to detail in style of hotel
*helpful staff
*towels/chairs for beach
*clean room, nice bed and pillows
*proximity to beach and rentable bikes
Not Good
*we stayed a Saturday & Sunday night. We were placed on the 3rd level on the Collins St side of the building and could hear the rooftop club and people walking/dancing until midnight. When the club wasn’t operating, the Gitano restaurant music was loud and could be heard from 5-11pm. Some (cleaning?) people came to the rooftop again around 4am and moved furniture around which was very loud and woke us up again. I'm not sure if other rooms on the 3rd floor or other floors would also have these issues. But if you are booking with kids or want some relaxation, I'd look elsewhere.
*If you aren't keen on taking the stairs, this isn't the hotel for you. The elevator is small and many people going up to the rooftop club, so you're better off taking the stairs.
*restaurant on site doesn’t have any morning or daytime offerings and not many options in the area besides Crema. Farther south has more options as we stayed at 2 other Miami Beach hotels before this one.
*as it’s part of the Faena conglomerate a block away, they should offer some amenities (access to pool, discounts at restaurants, etc)
*minor things - not enough hooks/bars for towels, poor lighting at vanity, tv channels kept cutting out/freezing.
*for the price and lack of ammenities, I would say it is not worth it.
Realizing my mistake immediately after booking a room for 10/10 instead of 10/16, I took swift action by canceling the reservation and contacted Expedia to rectify the situation. Both Expedia and I repeatedly reached out to Casa Faena Hotel, attempting to seek understanding and resolution to this issue. Shockingly, our attempts to communicate with the hotel proved to be in vain.
I went the extra mile by sending three emails directly to the manager, Marcio Garcia, in hopes of receiving a response and finding a reasonable solution. Unfortunately, my efforts were met with silence.
In conclusion, based on my personal experience and the hotel's unprofessional behavior, I strongly advise against choosing Casa Faena Hotel for your next stay.
From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for an unforgettable stay. The ambiance of Casa Faena is simply enchanting, blending the charm of historic architecture with a contemporary and artistic flair. It's a perfect reflection of the vibrant spirit of Miami Beach.
The rooms at Casa Faena are a luxurious sanctuary. The attention to detail in the decor and amenities is remarkable. I particularly loved the thoughtfully curated artwork and the cozy, comfortable beds. It's evident that every aspect of the room was designed with guest comfort in mind.
The hotel's location is fantastic, just steps away from the beautiful Miami Beach shoreline. The convenience of being so close to the ocean and the vibrant South Beach scene cannot be overstated.
Dining at Casa Faena is an experience in itself. The on-site restaurant serves up delectable cuisine with a Latin twist. The flavors are bold, the presentation is exquisite, and the service is top-notch. It's the perfect place for a memorable meal.
What truly sets Casa Faena apart, though, is the exceptional service. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that guests have a seamless and enjoyable stay. From the concierge to the housekeeping team, everyone I encountered was friendly, professional, and eager to assist.
Casa Faena in Miami Beach is a haven of luxury and hospitality that I wholeheartedly recommend. It's a place where every detail is carefully considered, and every guest is treated like a VIP. I can't wait to return to this slice of paradise on my next visit to Miami Beach. Quiet Five stars, without a doubt!
