The location was fantastic! So central to everything. Lots of fun things to do in the evening, at this location. The staff, especially the manager, was fantastic. He knew everything about the general area, the best restaurants, and the easiest way to get anywhere. Magical stay at one of the most beautiful places in south beach

Love love loved my stay here. It's about a 5 min walk from the beach and the beach chairs and towels being included in your stay was such an awesome perk. Yes the rooms are small but it was very sexy and the design was top notch. Also wanted to say the front desk staff was spectacular they were super personable and for my first solo trip they made me feel welcomed. I unfortunately dont remember their names but they were from Chicago and were working this past Saturday morning/early afternoon and they were great! I saw a few reviews complaining about the music on the rooftop, my room was on right next to the rooftop and it was not that loud to where I couldn't sleep, however I am from New York so I just might be more accustomed to noise than someone who lives in quiet suburbia. Lastly I will say there were a significant amount of families staying there. So if you are a looking for a hotel filled with younger people under 35 crowd this might not be the hotel for you.

The staff and location were incredible! I had some issues with my booking through a third party, Camille and Elysa not only handled the situation better than could be imagined but made me feel extremely welcome and supported throughout the whole ordeal.
The location is truly prime. Very close to the beach, restaurants. Everything is a quick walk away.
The one thing that may not be a good fit for all is the small size of the room and particularly the bathroom. The room was equipped with nice toiletries and anything I could need and I found everything to be very clean.

This hotel really made a great impression on me.The historic building with a unique interior design, the smell, the luxurious cosmetics in the room, an excellent customer service, a delicious and nice looking breakfast. It is not only an instagrammable hotel, but a whole experience. Totally recommend!

Gorgeous, chic hotel with wonderful staff and perfect design. We had a great time at Esmé, located centrally in south beach. Safe area, walkable to the beach, and you get access to their beach chairs! (First come first serve but there were plenty when we went) would absolutely go again and recommend to all

A great place to stay to explore Miami Beach. Staff are friendly, rooms are comfortable and stylish, breakfast was nice and the pool area is the ideal place to chill or have drinks at sundown. Big Thanks to Miguel for helping with the luggage too, we were really happy to have a place to store bags on checkout and have help bringing them to the car.

Absolutely loved our stay. The hotel is beautiful and the location is perfect, about 5 minutes from the beach. The team was truly impressive - Lisa at the front desk, Jimmy the bellman, the team on the roof and the folks working at the beach concierge were so kind and helpful. Will miss it and hope to return!

On our last night at the hotel around 12am our air conditioning suddenly stopped functioning and our room became hot. Our room was too hot to continue to try and sleep. The night hotel attendant of the Esme that came to our room could not fix our problem and we decided to check out early from the hotel. No assistance was offered for a ride to our car at a nearby parking garage for our safety so we ended up walking about 3 blocks with full luggage. We were quite angry and surprised that Esme staff would not offer us any help.
The hotel desk attendant advised he would inform the manager in the morning of what happened to us but he didn’t seem too concerned about us. He checked us out and we left the hotel.

The rooms were decorated nice and were a place to sleep. Super small with not too much storage, was cramped with just 2 people and 2 laughed. The room was in a different part of the street with no security measures to ensure that random people can’t just wander throughout the floors. And then after using their bag service, the man had broken my wheel off and it is brand new luggage! Understand mistakes happen but to then not even acknowledge it after dropping it off with us outside of the hotel.. now I can’t use my bag functionally! After going in to just let them know that it broke, the manager came outside and told us she would take care of us and it! Not too sure what she meant by that because we haven’t received anything 5 days later:)

Nice place.
Arrived on a Sunday night, and there was a lot of noise (music with significant bass vibration) from the rooftop bar and street.
Monday night was much, much quieter.
Additional regular vibration throughout stay, possibly from the ceiling fan of the room downstairs as it seemed to be produced on an interference pattern. Noticeable in bed and through floor, but not to the point of stopping sleep.
Rooms small, but nicely furnished. Beds and bedlinen very comfortable.
Temperature control good, and decent blackout curtains too.
Good quality bathroom toiletries.
Staff great. Friendly and helpful.
Location great for restaurants and seafront (5min walk).
Expensive place, but nice. I'd happily stay again. Problems above are mentioned for completeness, but certainly wouldn't stop me returning. Noise would be less of an issue if on the correct timezone, and staying up later.

Recent stay 3/17/24. Solo traveler. One night. I’m split on my review. Gave it 4 stars but more like 3.5. I’ll explain in more detail below. I didn’t realize it was the first night of Spring Break when booked! LOL. Busy and noisy but felt super safe because there were literally cops and security EVERYWHERE!
Room +: The room was adorable. Loved the design! Option to stream via Chromecast using their WiFi! Shower is gorgeous and HUGE! Both the room and bathroom are on the smaller side, but well designed so it didn’t feel tiny. Bed was very comfortable and I loved that there was a ceiling fan that I could control!!
Room —: Paid extra for a city view balcony. WASTE OF $!! Literally just a small landing with a railing overlooking a BUSY restaurant. Couldn’t even sit outside. No view of the city. Building is too low. BOOMING LOUD party with DJ on rooftop pool beside my building. They were having fun but I wasn’t feeling well and just wanted to go to bed. Luckily (for me) there’s a curfew and they had to shut it down by midnight. Rooms aren’t soundproof and I could hear movement in the hallway. Also not sure I’d wanna stay there during bad weather/rainy season since you have no choice but to walk outside to get to the restaurant or go to the front desk. Someone forgot to put even 1 towel in my room. Had to drip dry my hands & call front desk. No place to even hang a hand towel in the bathroom. Stain? on decorative cover at the foot of the bed. I’m curious how often they clean it? Threw it on the floor. Hopefully they washed it! Obvious mark so not sure how it was overlooked.
Service +: SUPER nice upon check in, answered questions, quick to answer the phone, attentive. Overslept and called asking for an extra 15 mins to check out. They were busy but allowed it. They even offer to hold your bags and let you use their chairs and towels if you want to go to the beach after checking out! Breakfast was really good but limited options when you include it in your reservation. Separately it’s quite expensive.
Service —: ***IMPORTANT!!!***
Blindsided by a $145 cc hold required upon check in! Expedia told me $45 and I didn’t have enough on the credit card I brought with me. Stood there for a few mins stressing and moving money from my checking to credit card. FRUSTRATING. I was tired from traveling and not feeling well. Totally unprepared for that much to be held! The 5 star LUXURY hotel I recently stayed in only held $100! ZERO towels in my room. Took over 20 mins to bring some & no hand towel or washcloth. 3 bath towels. Upon check out was told I had $94 in charges. WRONG. I used nothing in their “mini bar”. The man next to her double checked and corrected her. Only took $45 that I was actually prepared to pay. WHEW!
Location +: Quaint fenced in Spanish “villa”. Side gates can be entered your card. Had to walk outside but it was a beautiful corridor. Thought I would get lost but it really was easy to navigate. Close to the beach and lots of places to eat close by!
Location —: Next to a loud and busy restaurant. Not sure how safe those side entrances are since no one is monitoring.
Despite some negatives would I stay here again? Now that I’m prepared, yes. I’d give it another chance. Just NOT during Spring Break or rainy season and will definitely not pay extra for the “balcony”.

Hotel Esme was an absolute dream! The location is perfect and the hotel is beautiful. They were able to accommodate our large group and went above and beyond every step of the way. The entire team was fantastic, especially Lisa at the front desk. They were also able to help us out when we experienced some flight cancellations in extending our stay even though they were almost at capacity.

A cute, historic hotel in the heart of Espanola Way. The rooms are classic and even though they are on the small side, I think it was everything we needed for a few days stay. The hotel has a rooftop with a pool where you can get some drinks or soak up to beat the heat. It is also walking distance to the beach and tons of restaurants and bars. The rooms are clean and the wifi worked perfectly the whole time we stayed. They also have bikes you can get for free if you want to go explore around.
All the staff was kind, accommodating and really helpful. The MVP of our stay was Delisa. She hands down made our experience beyond expectations. She is so personable and friendly - it felt like she was our friend from the first moment we started to chat with her. As an anniversary gift she sent us a bottle of champagne to our room.. That was the cherry on top! I would definitely stay here again.

I loved the hotel so much. It was charming and moody. The rooms are small but I actually loved that aspect. It gave a sense of coziness I don't get at most hotels. My room was dark green and that's my favorite color. I feel like the hotel is best for singles or couples, adults, not families with children. You would really have to like the person you're staying in the room with cuz you're gonna be on top of each other. I had a great time and would definitely stay there again.

If you are up for vacation in Miami beach ????️ this is one of the best located hotels. The famous Ocean Dr. is just 100ish meters away, it is on the spanish ???????? street with restaurants and is also close to the shopping street. Rooms are nice and clean, but have in mind that we barely had space for our luggage.
There is a rooftop bar and pool on the third floor where they serve nice cocktails and even dinner.
Enjoy!

Not gonna lie, we spot the hotel on social media initially ????
But we will recommend it to friends and family who visit.
The location is amazing and the service was great. The only thing was that the room was a little small, having in mind we had two 23kgs and two carry ons.
The rooftop bar is a must to visit!
I also took some time enjoying the free Saturday morning pilates class!
Thanks Esme for having us!

If you value your sleep this is not the place for you. The roof top bar cranks out house music well past midnight which can be heard (vibrates) into the hotel rooms below.
Despite the lovely decor, great staff and service all that is mute when you come for a holiday and can’t get to sleep.
Despite the lovely decor, great staff and service all that is mute when you come for a holiday and can’t get to sleep.
Cons: I did have to switch rooms to the other building due to noise (the walls are very thin, so bring a white noise machine/speaker for sleeping). Additionally, the rooms were small and I had no counter space in the bathroom to do my makeup and hair. One last thing, is the kids by the pool did not make sense. They didn’t completely ruin experience but it definitely ruined the vibe. I think this hotel would make more sense to be adult only especially with such a small pool.
I would 100% recommend this hotel and we will definitely be back because the experience was amazing!
