Una stella per le camere è sin troppo. Dire che la mia camera faceva semplicemente schifo non è rendere l'idea. Pulizia, se si può parlare di pulizia, ogni 3 giorni, scarafaggi nel bagno, condizionatore in camera rumorosissimo da doverlo spegnere e patire il caldo, colazione inesistente, no deposito bagagli. Volevo chiamare l'ufficio igiene. Unica nota positiva la gentilezza dello staff alla reception. Inoltre non so quanto sia un albergo a norma di sicurezza. Impianti vecchi. Sconsiglio assolutamente. " per fortuna" se si può parlar di fortuna nel stare in una simile topaia, non ho pagato io. !!!

I booked this hotel for two colleagues through the Seatrade convention, which said that the hotel would be responsible for billing. I contacted the hotel to attempt to prepay for the stays but was told that I would have to present at check-in to be able to bill the rooms to my card. I had no problem with their policy hence my colleagues made their own arrangements to pay the hotel. Midway through their stay, the hotel billed my card for two nights each in contravention of their stated policy. Nevertheless, my colleagues paid for the remaining 3 nights. Upon check-out one was issued a receipt for the 3 nights by one front desk agent while the other was told by another agent that they were under strict orders not to give receipts because they bookings were under the convention's group. She approached the other agent and was issued a receipt for her payment. I subsequently called front desk to request receipts for the two charges the hotel made to my card and was told about group bookings and no receipts. This was most illogical since it was the hotel that made the charges and collected the payments. A third party to the transaction cannot issue a receipt for money it did not collect. The customer service experience was further horrible. One of my colleagues was placed in a room above a restaurant in the wing across the street from the main building. She was subjected to loud DJ music every night until 2am. When she complained about the noise and her sleepless nights, she was simply told that the hotel owns the restaurant, but it was under different management. Further, a small package was shipped to the hotel for one of my colleagues and though the tracking said delivered, the 3 times she checked the front desk she was told it had not arrived. On her 4th try, she presented a printout of the delivery confirmation showing the signature and name of the receiver. The front desk agent rolled his eyes and eventually went to a back room and found the package. My colleagues had as well to request room cleaning. They were not told they had to request it at check-in either. To date, after several emails to the front desk manager and the hotel manager, I still have not received receipts for the charges made to my card. We have never experienced such poor service in South Beach and we certainly will not stay there again nor recommend it to anyone else.

We stayed 4 days in room 1219 in the Taco Taco building of Catalina Hotel, 12-16 Apr 2024. They have 3 buildings, and we were in the middle one, which is where the Taco Taco restaurant is. Great room, shower was the best. Very big, great water pressure and temp. The bed was super comfy with great pillows and clean. Small balcony, where we hung our beach clothes. The only drawback was no coffee machine or microwave (why i gave it a 4 instead of 5 stars), it did have a small fridge. We missed the coffee maker the most, but the local restaurants have the best coffee, OMG! Absolutely great location, beach is 2 blocks up, and surrounded by so many delicious restaurants and great shopping!! Service was outstanding for us from the front desk, housekeeping, and bars within each Catalina hotel, especially ours. Highly recommend. Again, we stayed in the middle of the 3 Catalina buildings they have.
Highly recommend Ole Ole steakhouse for breakfast and dinner, located within a 10-15 min walk. Restaurants located on each side of Catalina Hotel are outstanding! Enjoy!

Listen to me...do NOT do this to yourself. Read the reviews. This place is the worst. First of all, when you arrive you are put on a waitlist. They advertise 3pm check in but that's just when the 'waitlist' opens. They may not call you for hours, if at all. And they will not under any circumstances hold your bag. The place is old and run down. Please practice self love and go someplace else.

I tried reaching out to the owner and manager of this Catalina Hotel & Beach Club on February 20 and March 25 regarding their issues and my complaints, but no one responded, so I am writing this Google review in the hopes that they spend the money to improve:

POSITIVES:

• Martin from the front desk was helpful, but the others were useless.
• I thought it was good that your bartender walked outside to ask people if they needed any drinks.
• I thought the valet parking was expensive, but the valet guys did a great job.

NEGATIVES:

• The front desk required that I use the same credit card that was used for the reservation. That's a bad policy. What if I lost that credit card?
• The hotel is very run down and needs to be remodeled.
• This hotel requires you to walk up 6 steps with your luggage to reach your room (no elevator of course). I am not handicapped, but this hotel is NOT handicap accessible. In addition, I only saw one luggage cart at the hotel, but it unavailable when we checked in late at night (Friday 2/16/24), so it was a pain to drag all of our luggage up the steps.
• The hallway carpeting and the floor inside the room were VERY filthy!
• There is a huge gap at the bottom of the room door. Why?
• There were fleas inside our room.
• The view outside our window wasn’t very pleasant to see because there is a demo site behind it. I am not sure if they are building more rooms or perhaps a pool area.
• You should provide more outlets for charging devices.
• You should get rid of the minibar and leave the fridge empty for guests so we can store our own beverages and food in there.
• There is NO room at all for toiletries in the bathroom.
• The shower is way too small and the shower head doesn’t wash off your body very well either. In addition, the shower water gets all over the bathroom floor while showering, thus getting dirt all over the place. There was no shower mat towel available for the floor.
• You can hear footsteps and noises from the room above ours, which woke us up, so there must not be very much insulation between the floors.
• The housekeeping staff made our bed on Saturday, but they are making it incorrectly (the top sheet was over the comforter), and they only provided (2) bath towels! They didn’t provide any washcloths, hand towels, and shower mat, as I mentioned above.
• Your hotel is way too expensive for what is offered (including my complaints above). It’s such a shame that hotel prices have gone up yearly since Covid, but owners do nothing to improve their hotels with décor, amenities, and service with a qualified staff.

This is my second time staying at the Catalina Hotel. But this time was worse. The shower wasn’t clean so well, hair was still left on the toilet, and I noticed it the second day of my stay there. Little brown bugs were falling from the lamp in the room. I had to go to the front desk and see if somebody could clean or if I could change rooms. Instead, they brought somebody into my room to spray some type of bug spray around the room but didn’t clean up the little brown bugs everywhere. you could see their wings falling on the lamp and table and it started to smell. I usually don’t do reviews but this hotel was disgusting

This hotel by far is one of the most nastiest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The room was very dirty, the lights weren’t even working kept flickering, the fridge wasn’t working properly not cold at all, the room had roaches crawling around, the fire alarm kept going off and the service was horrible. And don’t park your car with valet they might hit it and not say anything until you see it. The manager had no resolution for any of my complaints only to offer me a complimentary late check out another time I stayed with them. Why in the right mind would anyone want to stay again after this experience. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all even if it’s convenient. It’s very disgusting and disappointing!!!!

I was very unpleased with my room from them canceling my reservation not only mines but the people I traveled with also from the rooms not being clean it was hair on our queen beds make up on the sheet hair in the shower the toilet knob broken u had to lift the top of the lid to pull the ball for it to flush ???? the floor having cracks and peelin and the phone not working... then when I asked for accommodations nobody was around to speak to as far as a supervisor or manager im very much unplease I stayed in room 3216

The hotel is beautiful. In a great location. It has two restaurants. Steps away from the rooms. It also has two pools and Zen Gardens. The room was nice, updated, and clean. The front desk was very nice and helpful, but both times we called, no one picked up. Only an 8 minute walk to the beach. In the middle of everything.

I stayed in this hotel a week ago and I was very disappointed. First of all, we arrived at 4pm and had to wait an hour to be aloud into our room (check in is meant to be from 3pm).

Once we made it into the room, we had noticed that there was chewing gum on the headboard, blood and other stains on the sheets and no towels.This makes me think that the room hadn’t even been cleaned.

Staff were not apologetic at all so therefore I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

First time visiting Miami and I was a bit skeptical from reading past reviews on this hotel. I have to say that from entering the place we were welcomed in the most polite and friendly way by the 2 guys in the reception! We waited like 10 mins for the check in and that was it.. me and my friend were taken care of right away.. the rooms are very good for the price and clean! They will bring extra towels without asking.. There is 2 pools and a very calm and relaxing place to stay! Yes the music outside can be loud on weekends but thats not the hotels fault lol. Location is perfect all the bars are close and the beach is a 3 min walk. I would deffinitely recommend this place just make sure you call before you get there to ask for the check in time so you dont have to wait.. very reasonable prices and made it a great first Miami vacation for me! Would deffinitely recommend! Thank you Catalina Hotel for the amazing weekend getaway.. will deffinitely be coming back soon!!

Hotel moderno en el centro de South beach, si te gusta la fiesta este es tu hotel, lleno de música, fiestas nocturnas y viajeros jóvenes. La ubicación es inmejorable y algo que nos encantó es que tiene 2 piscinas, no recomendamos ir en plan con niños.

This is the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. The customer service was rude as soon as we walked through the doors. The rooms are very dirty and there are no accommodations. The only thing I liked was that everything is walking distance. I don’t recommend this place to anyone . There are far better hotels that actually care about customers for about the same price

1st of all, they need to hire people who understand the quality of customer service. They hired people who's disrespectful and didn't care. Rooms are dirty, I find hair in the room, and they don't clean the room every day. I will never come back to this hotel, didn't feel welcome, and they rude. I asked to speak to the manager and they told me the manager would be in 3hours, it's Ben 2 days no manager. I went to D&B to complain about how bad the service and the room are.

Dirty, dingy, terrible service. Roaches, smells like mildew, even walls are dirty. I complained and asked for a refund, and was refused. Now I am disputing with credit card company. DO NOT COME. Hotel was flooded and they still would not refund my money. They said they would refund my incidentals deposit, and then recharged me for it a week later! SCAM, nasty hotel.

I'm very glad with my stayed in Catalina.The room was comfy after a long day on the beach.They are 1/2 block from the beach, so the location is SPECTACULAR!

The only positive is the location and staff at mini restaurant under hotel. First off WHO DOESNT PROVIDE RAGS to wash up ?!!!! And makes you go out your hotel building to another in order for you to wash up ?! Secondly, they charged us for 2 WATERS THAT WE DID NOT DRINK AT ALL , bc the mini cart prices was already TOOOO HIGH. 3rd we DIID NOT EVEN GET THE ROOM WE PAID FOR ! 4th neither did we get our 100 dollar deposit back ! 5th the room, hotel, and elevator is not what we expected at all with the pictures that was on website. 6th they do not answer the phone at allll to this day! No help no nothing! I DO NOT RECOMMEND! DO NOT STAY HERE

The hotel is absolutely horrible , they will show you pictures that look good and might make you think the price is worth it , but in reality the hotel smells absolutely bad, the rooms are dirty and you find a better bathroom at a hostal than at that hotel, I literally could not stay more than 1 minute in that room and they refuse to refund me, keep yourself away from this hotel.

Terrible service and so dirty. They cleanthe room but don’t bring towels. So when we took a shower we had to go to the hotel next door to ask for towels, then wait for someone to bring it from somewhere..
