Avis CLINTON HOTEL Miami

I was at first worry because of all the reviews I saw about the hotel, but it was completely different! The staff were super nice, and we got our room really quickly. The room was clean and had everything you could need. We had towels, a hair dryer, Tv, etc. The location is amazing! Is two block from ocean drive and the beach! The staff would also give you beach towels if you needed.

When we first arrived the staff did act alittle shady towards us. Didn’t feel okay at first. I did notice others were getting their rooms before us. I get we got there extra early but people got there after us and were getting handed the key to their rooms. Was not pleasant to watch. They had us wait til exactly 4 after requesting an early C/I Not sure why so many negative reviews tho. The room wasn’t that bad. The bed was soft and comfortable the room and bathroom were clean. The staff became more pleasant after the whole check in situation. The location is perfect everything in walking distance. The beach the food some entertainment. So much food to choose from and delicious also. Iv stayed in much worse hotels/motels than the Clinton. This hotel is more than fine.

Fangen wir mit dem Positivem an, die Lage des Hotels ist sehr zentral und die Betten sind bequem. Leider war es das dann auch schon. Die Zimmer sind renovierungsbedürftig, auf der Toilette hat man leider keine Privatsphäre, da die Türe zu große Lamellen hatte, bei der man sich die Türe hätte sparen können. Das Fenster im Zimmer lässt sich leider nicht öffnen, so dass immer ein unguter/stickiger Geruch im Raum ist. Noch dazu wurden wir mitten in der Nacht lautstark geweckt, da Security an unsere Tür hämmerte. Zu allem Überfluss war dann um 5 Uhr morgens auch noch ein Feuerwehralarm, da fühlte sich aber auch keiner so wirklich angesprochen etwas dagegen zu tun. Stellte sich als Fehlalarm heraus, eine Entschuldigung oder Entschädigung wäre schön gewesen. Es war wirklich keine tolle Nacht und kein schöner Start für unseren lang ersehnten Urlaub. In dieses Hotel werden wir nicht mehr gehen.

Great location near the heart of South Beach, the room was clean, water pressure in the shower was slow and water never got hot, just lukewarm, but free WiFi, and easy to get around, would definitely consider staying again

This place is filthy. The rooms smell molded and like mildew. Stains on the lamps and bed frames. My friend found hair on her clean bed sheets. It looked like pube hairs. Had a few stains in the clean bed sheets. This hotel reminds me of Bates Motel or a Brothel. It was not a comfortable stay. The customer service was awesome. The lady was very attentive and promptly had a room ready for us since we arrive extra early before check-in and kept our suitcases until it was time . However I would not recommend staying here. It was not a comfortable stay for me. Also another good thing is its location is closer by the beach and on the main strip.

For me, the hotel was clean and the staff was attentive. The location was brilliant! Excellent size room! Totally recommend

One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at, the rooms are filled with cockroaches, the staff couldn’t care less about it when you mention it to them. Check-in was delayed by an hour because they didn’t have our room ready on time.

The bad... I pre-paid direct online.. however, when I got there. They told me there was and extra $30 service fee per night (plus taxes) that I was not notified of beforehand.. not a big deal, but I have taken the time to carefully budget my vacation. Also the rooms are pretty small. And maybe it's also because it spring break but it was pretty noisy. The good was that the staff was nice and the restaurant was really good

Do not stay here! They after booking our hotel 3 months in advance they called me the day before check in and told us they over booked and needed to cancel of reservation. The only offered us to stay one night in a one bed room when we originally booked for a 2 bed room. Terrible service. Recommend the Kent. Very accommodating

Great hotel! Excellent spot for a quick stay in the city. Close to the beach and the staff is awesome

I had the unfortunate experience of staying at this hotel and it was a complete nightmare. From the moment we walked into the room, we were greeted by a horde of roaches scurrying around like they owned the place. It was utterly disgusting and unacceptable.

When we brought this issue to the attention of the hotel staff, they were not only unapologetic but also unhelpful. Instead of offering to rectify the situation or provide us with a different room, they shrugged off our concerns as if roaches in the room were a common occurrence.

To make matters worse, when we requested a refund or assistance in finding alternative accommodation, they were unwilling to cooperate. We were left stranded with no place to stay and no credit available to book another room.

Overall, I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel. Not only is it infested with roaches, but the staff’s lack of concern and assistance in resolving the issue only added to the nightmare of our stay. Save yourself the trouble and find a different place to stay.

Be ready to experience erratic behavior from other guests and humid rooms. We had to call the reception three times because girls were fighting and screaming in the hallway, nothing was done about it. We told them we would call the police and the receptionist told us to wait for their security, they did not want us calling the police. Toilet gets clocked, no ventilation in the bathroom.

Rooms are way smaller than they portray it to be in the pictures online. The elevator can only fit two people and takes a long time to arrive. It felt like a scam from the moment we walked in. Poor maintenance everywhere you walk. Don’t believe in the pictures you see online. Oh also, hidden fees.

You will get charged $70 for the “resort fees” this is everything but a resort. Feels like a motel.

There are other hotels in the area that look to be way more accommodating and up to date than this one. Do yourself and your family a favor and stay away from this place.

Overall we had a great stay! It felt a little bit budget upscale but it was nice for a last minute trip. The wall paper is peeling in some places, and they forgot to put towels in our room the last day of our trip. The location however, is perfect. Great to walk down and have some fun on south beach. The staff was very friendly, and everyone spoke great English/spanish here. The beds were comfy as well, and the balcony was a nice edition.

READ BEFORE BOOKING - SAFETY CONCERNS. The management has been contacted and is appropriately resolving the issue, but I wanted to share our experience. First of all, the sheets had stains all over, the bedding was moist from mildew, and the room smelled so strongly of mildew/mold that it was unbearable. On top of all of that, we were woken up at midnight to a "staff" member pounding on our door for over 10 minutes, supposedly to bring us towels that we never requested? The room was shaking from how hard they were hitting the door, which was terrifying. Of course we didn't open the door and instead tried calling the front desk to confirm (as this is obviously quite strange and it was late at night). The phone in the room doesn't work which is a major SAFETY issue. Couldn't even call 911 from the room. Used my out-of-country cell phone to call the front desk again for 15 minutes with no answer. The police ended up having to get involved with this safety issue and thankfully there were no bad outcomes. Only positive of this hotel is that it is a few minute walk to the beach, but there are plenty of other options nearby. I never write poor reviews and I appreciate management's response, but I could never recommend this property.

Very disappointed, false advertisement on line, looks beautiful on line but in reality it's very old, not worth the money that I paid, I will never reserve a room there again

I come to Miami every week for work for 3 days and have stayed in many of the hotels on Washington, this was my first time at the Clinton and I was a little disappointed. When I arrived at check in the clerk was not friendly with me at all, I asked her about where to park my car and she said they didn’t offer parking, so I asked which garage would be best she just said the one on 7th. I asked if she knew the fees or if they allowed re entry etc she was very irritated and just said no. It’s on 7th. You will have to go there and see. I felt a little disrespected at that point. ( I did go ask myself at it is the closest garage and was $25 per day) Once I got parked and settled into my room and unpacked for work I noticed the coffee machine was not complimentary (they charge for coffee) none of the other hotels do that. Also, housekeeping was vacuuming outside my room in the hallway at 10pm, I have never experienced that in any other places as well.
On a good note: the bathroom was a very nice size, bigger than most places and the shower was big too.
The pool is very pleasant and the front desk provides nice towels. The restaurant attached Limonada has a friendly make bartender and they offer happy hour 6-8pm.
I just wish the front desk clerk had been more helpful and more friendly, and I do not think housekeeping should be vacuuming after hours when people (who are in town for business) are getting ready for work on weekdays.
It could be a really nice place if a few adjustments were made.

Stayed for the weekend and was nice. The staff was attentive and polite. The room had a great size. The best thing about the hotel is the location

DO NOT BOOK.
I don't usually write bad reviews, but this hotel deserved one. The pictures on the website are extremely outdated, and it's shocking how different it is in real life. Rooms are small, floors are sticky, walls are so thin that you can hear and smell people next door (especially if they're smoking weed). The fridge, lamp, etc. are breaking down. Our toilet had chunks coming out every time we flushed it. The hotel staff "fixed" it but the water smell was so bad in the bathroom still. The elevator can fit basically two people, and squeaks while it's going up. I've never seen hotel hallways so dim. I would never bring small kids or travel here alone, or again! I've stayed at budget hotels before but this one is by far the worst experience. They charge a resort fee when you arrive, which ends up being the same price as other hotels in the area anyways. The 4-5 star reviews are very misleading and untrue. We had so much fun in Miami but dreaded coming back to the hotel every time. Do yourself a favor and don't book your stay here, or you'll get worse than what you pay for.

Un hôtel très bien situé dans South Beach. A deux pas de la plage et près de tous les commerces.
Le personnel de l'hôtel est très aimable, et les petits déjeuners servis au restaurant sont tout simplement délicieux. N'hésitez pas à goûter leurs pancakes c'est un régal !

Les chambres sont toutes blanches et il n'y a rien à redire sur la propreté. Elles sont équipées de TV et chaîne hifi.
Les lits sont très confortables.
La salle de bain est assez grande et la douche est "à l'italienne".
Attention cependant car certains produits exposés dans la salle de bain sont payants ! Seuls les petits tubes de gel douche et shampooing sont gratuits.
Il en est de même dans les chambres : les plateaux pleins de bonbons et gâteaux sont en supplément. Ne vous faites pas avoir.

La piscine n'est pas très grande mais elle a l'avantage d'être peu utilisée par les clients de l'hôtel qui préfèrent sans doute profiter des plages de sable blanc de Miami Beach. Du coup cela permet de barboter tranquillement dans la piscine ou de bronzer dans les transats installés autour.
