Worst hotel we’ve ever stayed at. The location is the only best part about it. Stayed at this hotel for my 27th birthday, as soon as we got there it was crazy busy. Upon getting our room we realised we could hear very loud music which sounded like it was in our room but it was outside next door, we complained to front desk about this as it was extremely loud and we couldn’t sleep, and asked if they could move us rooms which they declined we asked a number of times every day which they carried on saying no. We came to realise the restaurants music speaker was connected to our room door. We couldn’t open our curtains as people from the restaurant would be able to look in. The music started at 10am and continued to 12am! All day! Very inconsiderate. My anxiety has never been so high before, ended up crying as it was too much to bare. We even ended up staying in a different hotel for one night as we couldn’t take it anymore. DO NOT STAY HERE. Only good thing was the location it’s close to the beach

Still currently waiting to get my deposit back and it’s been a full week. Never understand how it takes this long to get a deposit back but takes 2 seconds to charge my card. Other hotel I stayed at I got the deposit back within a day or two. Every time I try to call this hotel I don’t get an answer…?

Update: It has been 16 days now with not deposit refund. I tried talking to the manager about it and I literally heard him say “just tell him I can’t talk” ????. Come on guys it takes day to take the deposit but a whole month and i still haven’t gotten it back…Do better

Decent place to stay. Easy and safe area to walk. I would never us the valet service again though. Self park and keep your keys. The garage is across the street (Pelican Garage). The elevators were out of service and the place was dirty and smelled. Our vehicle was gone through and we had a backpack with a couple bottles of wine stolen.
Only issue we had at the Fairwind was the music and yelling and screaming from the restaurant was crazy loud until midnight the Tuesday and Wednesday nights we stayed.
Our room was on the 3rd floor overlooking the restaurants courtyard and seating area.

Stayed here with my spouse to celebrate our 13th year anniversary. Front desk was very kind, and everything was super conveniently placed. The hotel itself has restaurants that u can order food from straight your room, many restaurants in the streets nearby... The beach is about 2 blocks. I would definitely recommend

No amenities, no parking, no vending machine. Location is at the north end of south beach so you have to walk a few blocks down ocean dr. if you prefer being closer to all the activity.
I do not recommend going in March unless you are a young and on spring break. Hair dryer didn't work.
Room and service were nice.

I am a concierge at a large property in NYC so I understand the inner workings of how a hotel works. I was there during Spring Break and as you can imagine South Beach was insane.
I must say the team @ The Fairwind deserve so much credit. Lucia and Alex are doing the job of three people.They went above and beyond with their level of care and service.
They are front desk agents, bell captians storing luggage and pulling off concierge duties. This would NOT happen in a property of that size in NYC. We have entire teams doing each of those things seperately Thank you both for making my stay enjoyable. You are superstars.

This hotel was okay… but was quite dirty, grimy, and disappointing over all. It felt kind of like a trashy party hub - with paper thin walls, so I couldn’t choose to avoid the music and noise.
The pool was pretty nice! But I was excited for the sun roof, but it was just a couple plastic chairs toppled over… no touches to make the place feel homie. The staff was really nice though, and considerate.

L’hôtel fait du surbooking et nous propose absolument AUCUNE solution pour réparer leur erreur. On s’est donc retrouvés dehors sans chambre en plein sprint break, une vraie galère je ne le souhaite à personne.

Non seulement cet hôtel a échoué à fournir la chambre pour laquelle j'avais réservé et payé à l'avance, mais le manager a également réagi de manière totalement inappropriée lorsque j'ai exprimé ma frustration et mon mécontentement. Au lieu de reconnaître leur erreur et de chercher une solution, le manager a menacé d'appeler la police, affirmant que c'était son seul moyen de défense. Cela témoigne d'un manque total de professionnalisme et d'empathie envers les clients, en particulier ceux qui sont touristes et dépendent d'un logement fiable. Cette expérience a été non seulement décevante mais aussi alarmante. Je ne saurais trop déconseiller cet établissement à quiconque recherche un séjour sans tracas et sécurisé.

I feel compelled to share my disappointing experience. Unfortunately, from the moment of our arrival, we were greeted with a glaring lack of professionalism and respect. The worst part came when the manager casually informed us that our reserved room had been canceled. Faced with this frustrating situation, we expected at least some understanding and an alternative solution offered by the hotel. However, to our great surprise, no satisfactory solution was provided, and the staff's contemptuous attitude only heightened our disappointment. A reputable establishment should always strive to treat its clients with respect and effectively resolve any issues that arise. Sadly, this hotel failed to meet these basic standards of hospitality and customer service. Therefore, I cannot recommend this hotel, as a positive guest experience seems to be a secondary priority for them.

Zimmer sind sehr gross, dürfte sauberer sein, gemütlicher Sitzplatz zum Garten. Wieso die Anlage um 07.00 Uhr morgens mit dem Hochdruckreiniger gereinigt werden musste, war ein Rätsel! Gute Lage, schnell am Strand. Das Personal war freundlich.

Untrained, overwhelmed staff at reception upon arrival. After a long wait we received a room key. The room was untidy, completely dirty and the toilet was obviously being renovated. Second attempt at reception: This time we got a key, but it didn't fit the room door... After about an hour we had a room. Overall impression of the hotel: Very shabby, there is always an intense smell of caustic cleaning products. And the rooftop pool is dirty. Conclusion: Never again!

The least any hotel can do to make its room comfortable for the guests are the beds. Worst ever mattresses which just sink in when you lay on them. Even motels have better mattresses in their rooms . Only good thing about the hotel is the location nothing else

Great location, near everything in South Beach. Room was dark and lacked lighting. It appeared clean but who knows with how dark it was. Only one chair and no table. We could never get the temperature below 73 degrees in the room; I have a lot of side effects from my cancer treatment and I need a cooler room to sleep.

We were charged 250 dollars when we checked in as a damage deposit but only got 150 back when checking out. Never got our towels for the last day and maybe we were charged for that? The cafe never opened in the morning and we had to go offsite for breakfast. Drinks were ridiculously expensive at 25 bucks a piece which was another reason to go offsite.

Response to owner: You write the same generic response to everybody and never make any changes, especially the unexpected charges when checking in.

A destacar: UBICACION y PERSONAL DE RECEPCION.
El resto....mmmmm.
Llegamos, el estacionamiento estaba repleto y no tenes donde ubicar el auto. Puede ser realmente frustrante no poder acomodarte tranquilamente. Si tenes suerte, enfrente hay garage publico por 20 dolares diarios...pero sino....que Dios te ayude.
El edificio es viejo y en no muy buen estado. La recepcion es fea y vieja. El techo de los balcones que dan a la planta baja estan sostenidos por parantes....(Sino, parece que se viene todo abajo)
La cocina no es tal....ya que solo cuenta con una heladera grande, y un microondas.....Pocos utensillos , no esta preparada para que puedas organizar una comida que no sea de microondas....Las fotos son un poco engañosas.

Points positifs : proximité restaurants, lits confortables (il y en a 2), personnel à l’accueil super (ils gardent même vos valises si besoin), sécurisé par code porte principal donc safe
Points négatifs: beaucoup trop cher ($467 pour 2 nuits), rideau de douche sale en arrivant, salle de bain pas top, bruyant, pour le petit déjeuner bah le café c’est à la boulangerie à côté donc payant (meme si c’est très bon) , et la tv je pense que tout le monde est sur le même réseau puisque sans toucher ma télécommande les chaînes changeaient toutes seules, obligé de fermer le store sinon aucune intimité

I usually stay at chain hotels but figured I would try out a non chain kind of one off place. I was skeptical but I enjoyed it. The front desk people were kind and helpful and the room was huge probably double the size of a normal hotel room and it had a huge TV which was a plus. It also had a full fridge and sink unlike a hotel room. The location is good too near Ocean drive and like a 5 minute walk from the beach. Would definitely stay again!

Perhaps the worst place I’ve been at while traveling. Their entire website and the pictures they show is a fabrication of deceit. They show you these great amenities only to give you what looked like they were bought at a garage sale. When we got there my wife had to wait 25 min. For someone to show up at the front desk. Their website stated that they had parking, well when we went to check in my wife was told that they don’t have parking and that they were having a hard time getting that they have parking off their website. We were told by the person working the front desk we could go find parking then come back? We then went to our room and it HAD NOTHING AT ALL in common with the pictures that they used on their website. The room was not clean. The pubic hair on the toilet and the hair on the floor next to the toilet let us know how clean the room was. There were holes in the tile from when they removed a shelf so instead of replacing the tile they just plugged the holes with putty and moved on. Nothing in the kitchenette was anything close to what they advertised online. The full size fridge in their online pictures was now a dorm room refrigerator that need more than a little cleaning. They had replaced the flooring but where the old floor forced air vent was they just covered it with a board and painted it. NOTHING THEY ADVERTISED online was like the actual room we were given. My wife and I left and went back to our car to call our credit card company to refuse payment to this place for their deception. It took them over and hour to get a manager on the phone and the manager refused to refund us for this claptrap of a room. The manager said since we checked in they would not refund us. And we couldn’t see the room until we checked in. AVOID THE PLACE. There are much better places to stay and they are running a con game with their bait and switch website.

El suelo no estaba limpio nuestros pies se ensuciaron de inmediato y al mirar debajo de la mesa de noche ( para recoger algo )
Había un trozo de pan que no era nuestro
