Een plek in het centrum van Bagamoyo. Het is little Stonetown. Vismarkt is om de hoek, leuk om een kijkje te nemen. De lodge ligt aan een drukke straat, maar ik had er geen last van. Heb er 3 nachten geslapen. Kamer is prima en ruim. Het strand is dichtbij is, is niet bijzonder, geen strand om te liggen, hiervoor zou ik een tuk tuk of boda boda nemen naar Bomani beach (20 min.).
Het eten en drinken is goed. Personeel mag iets attenter zijn of vragen of je activiteiten wil doen; miste persoonlijke aandacht. Prima zwembad. Ik ben hier leuke reizigers tegen gekomen, niet de standaard toerist, wat ik juist leuk vind. 2 fijne eettentjes op loopafstand. Er wordt Westerse muziek gedraaid, vind ik persoonlijk jammer, het mag van mij best Swahili muziek zijn. Ga ook naar de college of arts, zo zie je een andere kant van Bagamoyo. Aan de overkant van de straat wordt de lodge uitgebreid met extra kamers en een zwembad.

Best in hotel in the surrounding of Dar Es Salaam. Very lovely made ambience. Between the plants are so many nice places to rest and feel comfortable. It’s never getting that hot because of all these trees and plants. The stuff is courteous and all the time nice.
Thanks a lot for the inspirational and recovering stay.

Absolutely love this place! The atmosphere, the decor, the rooms, the staff. If you want to experience luxury but at the same time that rugged African feel, this is your place. I always come here to ground myself and just unwind completely. Thanks again for the most memorable stay!

Byliśmy tam tylko na nocleg i niestety opuściliśmy pokój ze względu na pluskwy w materacu łóżka. Małżonka ma silną alergię. Miejsce pozornie romantyczne ale niestety bardzo brudne wręcz ponure. Za oknem lokal w którym całą noc trwa impreza miejscowych. Znajomi zostali w swoim pokoju i pożałowali. Obsługa miła ale to wszystko. Nie polecam

Firefly, you made our day!
Came here on a day trip from Dar Es Salaam to discover the city and relax in the afternoon. Loved the lush cool setting around the swimming pool. It never gets too hot because of all the trees and plants, which is great, even more so with children.
The food was good, but the greatest plus are the juices. Loved the frozen dates and coconut milkshake!
We’ll come back to enjoy the authentic style and Swahili hospitality.

I had an amazing time at Fireflies, this place is a little heaven on Earth ! The staff is always smiling, helpful and makes you feel at home. There is a good wifi connection, the food is incredible, the place is very clean, showers are powerful. You have lots of spots where to relax (in the garden, arround the swimming pool…), and direct access to the beach. If interested, you can ask to take part to a yoga class. Highly recommanded !!

Absolut muzungu place.
Try their watery "juice" for 7000 and go to town for a real juice for 2000...
But these guys are happy not to mix with locals.
Why do they visit this country??

This place is an absolute gem. During our stay, we occupied the Cove dorm designed for 8 people, even though we were a group of just 6. The dorms are spacious and comfortable, making it an ideal choice for a group of friends.

One of the highlights is the inviting pool, perfect for those leisurely, sun-soaked days. The location couldn't be better, right next to the vibrant Fish Market and within easy walking distance of Bagamoyo's historic landmarks. Admittedly, Bagamoyo may be a quaint town, but it oozes charm and history.

Now, onto the culinary delights. The poached eggs at breakfast were a true indulgence, and I have to recommend the sweet & sour beef for dinner – a delightful surprise. This place offers not just a place to stay but an experience that complements Bagamoyo's unique character.

Since in 2018 I have been visiting Firefly Bagamoyo gain and gain. It is so nice I can’t stop go there for a lunch, drink or stay over the long weekend.

The atmosphere is amazing, it got good vibes around, people working there are good and always gives great service and bring positive vibes around. Food is delicious.

We have been hosting our Marafiki Music Festival at Firefly every year in Oct and all audience from different place they like firefly as location for this events, nice swimming pool, nice music, it is cozy and well designed.

If you thinking of visit Bagamoyo, I would real recommend You to visit Firefly Bagamoyo and stay there for your great holiday experiences.

Firefly is also doing great CSR programs on cleaning the beach with the Bagamoyo beach lovers crew and support the creative and arts scene in Bagamoyo through different Firefly Bagamoyo CSR’s programs.
