Nice place, but has the potential to be much better.

The pros is that it's on the beach, the pool is great, the staff are very nice, and the rooms have AC.

The cons is that the manager is not very helpful or accommodating, there is little shade throughout the hotel, the rooms need a refresh, and the common/shared facilities are not very comfortable.

It's OK value for money, but we've had better in Zanzibar. With a few tweaks it can provide a much nicer experience

We came here in January to celebrate our honeymoon and we are so happy, that we chose this hotel. The warmth of everybody was so welcoming and friendly, that we enjoyed our stay so much and we'd like to come again. The location is very calm because it's located between Jambiani and Paje so that you have a beach nearly for yourself. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The food is delicious and even for me as an vegan, they did everything to make my wishes come true. We booked three activities (snorkeling with the locals, Spice tour and jozani forest tour) , which were all well organised and really fun! The service is great and I could repeat myself over and over again - everybody is so nice and friendly there!

Point fort : la chambre est très belle, propre et après le ménage le lit se transforme en une oeuvre d'art (avec les serviettes), la patronne (son mari) et tous le personnel sont adorables, la climatisation marche, il y a très peu de coupures d'électricité, le wifi est très bon et dans tous les espaces de l'hotel, cet hotel ce situe entre Paje et Jambiani, Paje est accessible par la plage en 20 minutes de marche (si marrée basse).

Point faible : on ne peut pas se baigner sans chaussures, l'hotel ne propose que des taxis pour se déplacer (aussi je vous conseil de sympathiser avec un tuc tuc en ville qui viendra vous chercher quand vous le nécessitez),

Truly OUTSTANDING hotel.
I stayed in 3 hotels in Zanzibar in dec 2023 (1 in Nungwi, 2 in Jambiani/Paje) and this was by far my favorite.
Superior double room was wonderful with fridge and tea/coffee in the room...unusual in Zanzibar (note: Basic rooms may not have this).
Service is 10 out of 10...everyone very smily and super helpful.
Value is outstanding (cheaper and overall nicer than "Fun Beach Hotel" where I stayed also).
Pool and beach-side hammocks are great.
Very quiet part of the beach, perfect if (like me) you want a quiet place without being hassled by souvenir sellers. On each nearby is a safe pathway through the rocks to a sandback in the sea...nice access for swimming or walking.
Breakfast overlooking beach is amazing...fresh fruits, juice, fresh cooked eggs, homemade jam.

My stay at Jaribu Beach Hotel was nothing short of amazing! The location is a hidden paradise, with breathtaking views and direct beach access(take shoes for rocks with you). The rooms are comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully decorated.

The staff's hospitality is exceptional; they go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. The hotel's amenities, from the pool to the on-site restaurant, add to the overall experience.

If you're looking for a tranquil getaway with personalized service, Jaribu Beach Hotel is the perfect choice. I can't recommend it enough for a relaxing and rejuvenating stay.

We arrived without especially high expectations. We had been looking for something that was peaceful, clean, served reasonable food at a reasonable price and was relatively secluded from the hussle and bustle of the hotel strips of Paje & Jambiani. Something that paid tribute to Zanzibar, its people and its culture. Jaribu exceeded our expectations on ALL of the above. However, the real surprise was the incredible welcome we received! The staff and management were unfailingly helpful. Thank you so much to all of you. You made our stay extra special. We hope to see you all again soon!

Für mich waren die 7 Tage, die ich hier verbrachte, ein Aufenthalt im Paradies. Das Personal ist äußerst herzlich, hat immer Zeit und Freude daran, Probleme zu lösen: Ich wollte beispielsweise einen größeren Brief vom Hotel aus verschicken und war mir unsicher ob das Porto ausreicht. Daraufhin rief das Personal bei der Poststelle auf Sansibar für mich an und löste alle Unklarheiten auf.
Das Frühstück ist immer frisch zubereitet gewesen und ließ sich individuell auf alle Wünsche anpassen. Die Essenskarte ist zugeschnitten auf jeden Geschmack und weist faire Preise auf.
Alles an dieser Unterkunft ist großartig! Ich kann nur empfehlen, hier unterzukommen.

100% recommended. Extremely nice staff, you can feel like home. Place is not crowded, very cosy. Beach is empty but the hotel is located in walking distance to Paje or Jambiani.

So satisfied, hard to explain, but I'll try ???? first of all, everything is at least the same nice and good like on the pictures or even better. I like when my deal is a good deal and don't feel later any hiden tricks.
Super kind staff, everybody want to make you feel the best, all the time, every minute. It is so true, when on my last night I wanted to eat again a special noodle what I learned on the north part of the island, but it wasn't on the menu, the cheff came to me and gave me his best ideas how to make my wish true. The result? The best meal ever on the Island (what is a huge word, I'm a gastrofan and tried kind of everything ????).
Clean and comfy rooms with AC, double bed with a big matrasse (not two small ones pushed to each other, what I hate), nice view, terasse. The pool is really good located and well equipped with the sunbads, they have the shaders when you need. On the owned beach part you'll find some double hanging bed with the view of the ocean, so comfortable I had in these beds with my wife more afternoon naps ????
And the STAFF IS SUPERB. I love them, everybody is smiling and searching always the way how to make you even more happier. Thanks for them we found many hiden places, good snorkling places and rent place, they offered to pack the breakfast to go if we'd have an early morning program somewhere else. My wife had her birthday there during on our holiday, the staff helped to decorate and offered a nice bday program with singing, cake with her name and candles and stuff. Of course when I was interested for the local happy bday song they thought me the suahieli version. ????
Im sure I could write more novels about the hospitality we experienced there, but you can see already the point.

Everybody beginning with the driver, the night guard, gate keeper, house keeper, cook and bar/restaurant and of course Mme Rachel so warm and attentiv personalities.
The furniture natural, local, according to pictures. Every peace unique, so you could choose your happy chair. ????
A quiet place, walking distance to Paje, depending on the tide and day or night time more or less advenurous. Breakfast great, everyday some little new things, we appreciated that. Please, real spicy - just ask for it. Lots of fun with the staffmembers chatting at the table, sharing dreams or relaxing with a masage, sharing visions.

So, we just enjoyed - and recommend this beautiful place.

Schöne Anlage, prima Zimmer und super Pool, den man aber auch benötigte, da baden im Meer kaum möglich war. Küche durchschnittlich und leider immer nur Thunfisch als Fischgericht im Angebot. Keine große Auswahl an alternativen Restaurants fussläufig erreichbar.

Jaribu beach hotel is located in a very quiet environment, far enough from Paje to avoid the loud music and touristy feel, but close enough to be able to walk there is need be. The hotel is beautiful: facing the sea and a white-sand beach (with rarely anyone on it), the swimming pool is beautiful, the restaurant is well decorated and very welcoming. The food at the restaurant is very good. The rooms are very nice and calm. And most importantly the staff is extremely welcoming and accomodating. It was a real pleasure to stay there, and I would book again without any hesitation if I were to ever go back to zanzibar.

Such a lovely place! Great people, awesome local food (I tried many different dishes such as fish pilau, beef mchichaand chapati and ugali - all extremely tasty), perfect location right in between Paje and Jambiani, flawless room cleaning, good WiFi.
