AUBERGE DES GALLANT

Très bel endroit. Le site est bien aménagé. J'y suis allée hors saison, mais l'endroit doit être magnifique en saison estivale. Endroit parfait pour célébrer un mariage ???? La nourriture est excellente, personnelle et les chambres sont grandes. Ils ont des bornes de recharge pour voiture électrique.

Beautiful auberge up on the mountain. Beautiful gardens and wildlife. Food and service never disappoints.

Lovely Stay, I did notice the Room was dark especially on the wall holding the TV. A neat trick I use at Home in my office is to have an LED light with a warm setting behind the monitor (or TV) that gives an elegant look and lightens those areas in a cozy way. Also, the wine glasses were two completely different glasses (not that big of a deal) Konek TV reminded me of a streaming service as it sometimes failed (thinking circle). The location is beautiful and my Wife and I were relaxed when we left, so mission accomplished.

I loved the hotel and the stay in general but I was very very disappointed by the booking experience. I feel like I was ripped off. I called the hotel to ask if the sugar shack package was included in the Expedia booking and was assured it was by the man I spoke to. I check both the hotel website and the Expedia booking and the prices were similar but I had Expedia credits to use so wanted to book through Expedia. I was worried the package was not included on Expedia because there was no mention of it on the Expedia listing which is why I called the hotel directly. I asked several times just to be clear and was reassured multiple times by the hotel staff that it was part of the booking during the maple season, so I booked. The next day I got a message on Expedia telling me the package was not part of the booking but at that point the money was lost. My only options given were cancel and lose half the money or book directly with the hotel adding the extra sugar shack package for even more money (apparently also not included in the price on their site, all very misleading), and then once booked they would waive the Expedia cancellation fee.
I feel like someone that didn't know the hotel fees, packages, and policies gave me false information before I booked and instead if the hotel taking responsibility for their staff, I got screwed over. It was very unfair to me. A very very expensive mistake, but the hotel was nice. Just left me a bitter feeling having to be there and not getting the package I was promised and no way to cancel without it costing me more money.
