Alba Fucens, located in the province of L'Aquila, Italy, is a significant archaeological site that was once a major Roman colony. Despite only a small portion of the city being excavated, it is considered one of the most important Roman sites in Central Italy. Often referred to as the "Pompeii of Abruzzo," Alba Fucens features impressive remains such as a magnificent amphitheater, thermal baths, a basilica, a sanctuary dedicated to Hercules, tabernae, and several domus.
