VILLA FRANCA ^{* * * * *}

We had an incredible stay. Everything about this hotel is exceptional from the location to the views and service.

My husband and I in reasonable shape made the rookie mistake of walking up to the hotel from the ferry as google said it was a 12 minute walk. No big deal right? Huge mistake as we walked over 120 meters up, over a *thousand* steps, many winding stone stair cases in 35 degree weather. (I know because my apple watch tracked this) Please, for your own heath and safety...do not do what we did.

Anyhow - we arrived, sweaty, hot, out of breath 40 minutes later and I'm thinking how embarrassing of an arrival. Our luggage had arrived long before us, via porter service from the ferry.

My embarrassment dissipated quickly as we were immediately greeted with swift care (and slight concern for our health) as Nadia the concierge gave us a private room to shower and change, followed by the best glass of water I've ever had after the intense walking. We were there before noon so our room was not ready yet. Nadia escorted us to the stunning pool area where we were able to settle in, relax and recover.

The rooms are tiny, even our upgraded room with a partial sea view. That said, it's too be expected in Positano in most hotels and we didn't plan to spend our time in the room anyway. The air conditioning worked great, room was exceptionally clean, beautiful linens, and the bathroom was stunning with it's modern yet rustic design featuring a marble bath tub.

Dinner on the terrace was stunning, and there was a singer + DJ adding to the ambiance. Wine Sommelier gave excellent recommendations.

Breakfast was way more food than should be served, this should be included but ordered 'a la carte' ideally. I couldn't believe how much they served when I was by myself, as my husband wanted to sleep in.

There is a convenient shuttle to the town and beach area which we utilized.

Lastly, Gianluca provided thoughtful help and recommendations coordinating the next part of our Italy trip, including booking us a car service.

10/10 experience, we are looking forward to visiting again one day.

Wow the worst and the more expensive hotel I ever been,I pay 2400$ for night at this place
And Wes so disappointed when I arrive,my room Wes so small I can’t even open my 2 luggage,the ac Wes broken and the hand for the balcony so if you go outside you can’t close the door what can bring so much mosquitoes to your room,the “ocean “ view Is someone roof,and the bed sheets are not clean and has cockroaches and the toilet smells like someone did his needs over there,this is not what you expect to get for this amount of money,this place is not hotel is A house with rooms and small table at the entrance,so disappointed it’s really make the end of my vacation with bed taste.
More than that were not the only one that think like that doing the time were leaving a couple that left said “I can’t believe I pay for this place “
I really not recommend going there also it’s very far from the Main Street.

Absolutely breathtaking place, the view more than beautiful, hotel is absolutely gorgeous, food is super 5 star , The view at The pool night and day is unexplainable! And unfortunately I forgot the name of the young gentleman who’s mainly running the restaurant area, he is truly give you a 5 stat service and make you feel very cared for ! He is trying his best all the time, from breakfast to dinner , no matter the time of the day , he is at his 100 percent all the time! He made our stay even more extraordinary! I think his name
was Marcello! He makes this place an extra plus !!!!!We will be back for sure . One of the most beautiful place I ever seen! Rooms very very clean, slippers, robe and the most comfortable bed ever ! I highly recommend this beautiful hotel!

Had a very nice stay here. The view was amazing. Very modern design elements. Room was a bit small, but superb location.

Piscina mozzafiato situata sul tetto dell’albergo, con una vista fantastica. Camere eleganti e confortevoli, con il balcone che si affaccia su Positano. Colazione molto ricca che su richiesta può essere portata in camera. Personale gentile e attento alle esigenze dell’ospite.
