HOTEL ULISSE ^{* * *}

We have just returned after a 9 night stay Bed & Breakfast in the Ulisse Hotel (this is our 3rd visit over many years). The Hotel Ulisse is still of a very high standard for a 3 star hotel. Although the rooms are slightly small they are more than comfortable. I would recommend paying a little extra and booking a room with a terrace and a sea view. The views of the sea/hillside and castle are stunning so you will spend most of your time on the balcony enjoying the breath taking views and watching the boats. The hotel is always extremely clean and the rooms are kept spotless by a very hard working staff. The staff on reception and in the breakfast room are extremely friendly and helpful. The little hidden gem of this hotel is the swimming pool which is extremely secluded and has the addition of a very good bar for snacks and lunch. The lunches were extremely good and reasonably priced. Despite the hotel being very busy there was always sufficient sun beds around the pool all times of the day. There is a requirement to wear a swimming cap while in the water, male and female, which a few guests didn't like but it is common in a lot of the hotels and ensures total hygiene. Many of the guests found it quite amusing and personally unless you are totally vain it is no great hardship. Caps could be purchased at the Pool Bar for 1.50 euro so no excuse not to have one. The Hotel Ulisse is perfectly located between the Port and the Castle with a very good bus service running down to the Port and around the Island of Ischia. We have visited both the Islands of Capri and Ischia and would prefer to stay in Ischia. It is a totally beautiful Island which is much more affordable and relaxed. The ferries run frequently and are very fast and efficient and run on time. You can book your ferry tickets online or at the ticket office at the port so if you miss one you only have to wait a short while for the next. There are three different ports on the Island of Ischia so ensure you purchase your ticket for the port nearest your resort. If you just want to explore the island 3 nights is probably sufficient but personally I would recommend staying longer. The streets and port area are wonderful to stroll around in the evening and we enjoyed a fantastic firework display while we were there. Enjoy!

Sicuramente da ritornare, personale gentilissimo, camere a tutti i gusti, pulizia eccezionale. Posizione ottima, 50 m dalla spiaggia, ristoranti e bar in zona di castello Aragonese raggiungibi a piedi. Bravissimi.

Hotel molto carino in posizione strategica, il servizio è eccellente il personale gentilissimo e la pulizia maniacale le camere sono piccole ma in linea con gli standard del luogo... Lo consiglio vivamente a chi vuole stare bene senza avere il lusso di un 5 stelle

Abbiamo trascorso 3 giorni bellissimi in questa struttura nel cuore di Ischia, a pochi passi dalla centralissima via Roma e dal magnifico Castello Aragonese, una terrazza mozzafiato, personale cordialissimo, una buona cucina e tanto relax a bordo piscina, da ritornarci il prima possibile, grazie .

The service is amazing. They were all so sweet. It’s situated really nicely and you can walk anywhere easily. Can highly recommend ???? The cafe at the pool serves wonderful and easy lunch.
