Iceland was incredible
Stunningly beautiful scenery. The waterfalls, glaciers, lagoons, geysirs, all. I need more time to learn all the names.
Helga was wonderful. Knowledgeable, fun, attentive, caring. Filled is with interesting geological and historical facts as well as had us amazed at stories of trolls and elves.

Helga and Sigrún of Traveling Iceland are the best! In our 8 days together, we saw so much of Iceland-waterfalls, glaciers, elf rocks, black sand beaches, puffins and more with history and background, mythical, political and topical. And they were so much fun to be with! I would totally recommend them for anyone who wants to experience more of Iceland than just the usual tourist highlights.

Travelling Iceland is definitely a class act.Well researched and routed. Not only did we see all the spectacular sights there are to see in the south island, but a taste of culture, geology, history, myths and legends and expertise that would be difficult to rival anywhere.
Dr Helga and Sigru’n were nothing short of spectacular and entertaining! I couldn’t have picked better tour guides to fulfill my trip of a lifetime with. Every single experience and opportunity to explore was just better than the next! This was a 5 star curation and experience. Thank you!

We had an absolutely phenomenal time during our recent two week dream vacation in Iceland. In fact, we didn't want to leave - we could have happily stayed on for many more weeks. During our time in this gorgeous and otherworldly country, we were so well cared for by Helga Bára Bartels Jónsdóttir, PhD - CEO of Travelling Iceland. Helga and her fabulous team helped us safely and comfortably traverse the entire country, taking in all of the sites, in style. Despite the fact that Icelandic people speak perfect English, I would not recommend that Americans or other foreign visitors attempt to traverse this land without local guides. This is rugged and unusual terrain and Iceland is best enjoyed alongside Icelandic people who know the ins and outs of their beautiful country. During our trip, Travelling Iceland connected us with the following tours and tour guides, all of whom we recommend without reservation: 2 day South coast (guide: Steini), Golden Circle & Reykjavík + Blue Lagoon: (guide: Úlfar), and Þórsmörk (guide: Bjoggi). Ask for all of these folks by name and you cannot go wrong. Thanks again for everything Helga and Travelling Iceland - this was the experience of a lifetime for our whole family!

Just came back from the most wonderful family vacation in Iceland. Daòi and Helga and the team from Nordic Green Travel did the most amazing job in bringing all of our dreams and more to live. The level of service, dedication and passion from each and everyone - all the way from planning to all of the trips we did - was just impeccable. This is my fourth trip with Helga and her company. In December I went in the minivan to Snaefellsness. Ulvar took us for a stunning 12 hour adventure to the north peninsula on a spectacular tour. We also descended a lava tube which is an interesting geological phenomena. The scenery in Iceland always takes my breath away. The second tour with Siggi was catching the Northern Lights- patience is the key and at 1 am success. Helga is responsible and reliable tour operator . I thoroughly recommend this company if you’re looking to explore around Iceland.

Our tour guide was wonderful, very friendly and knowledgeable and did his best to show us the Northern Lights. It didn't work out for us that evening, but he and the company offered to take us out a few nights later to make up for it.
HIGHLY recommend this company for their professionalism, commitment to the client and knowledge of the area.

We took a tour and hiked with Helga to the Fagradalsfjall volcano. It happened to be a perfect weather day, the volcano was active which Helga was paying very close attention to. She planned the day around our chance to view it while spewing magma. We learned a LOT from her and appreciated her laid back attitude, her warmth, her cautious driving, her curiosity about her clients and her guidance. This was definitely a big highlight to our Iceland trip and Helga was absolutely terrific.

I joined Helga’s volcano tour in Aug 2021. Helga is a phenomenal guide- fantastic communication prior to event and full of interesting Iceland facts during the tour. She really looked after us well throughout. The volcano was quiet the day we went and so Helga extended the tour duration with the hope we would catch some activity. The next day she went above snd beyond to help us get to and from the volcano (it was active again) including picking me up and giving me a lift back. Don’t hesitate to book Helga for your tours!

One of my most memorable experiences in Iceland was a breathtaking hike up Glymur Waterfall. Helga, our experienced tour guide, very capably led us up the trail, ensuring our safety at all times. She is also very knowledgeable about Iceland's history, landscape, and natural resources, and answered my many questions along the way. An unforgettable day of both nature and culture. notre guide nous a rendue la journée à la péninsule de reykyanes très agréable ! nous n'étions pas nombreux et le champ géothermique de Seltun, la plage de sable noir et les nombreux arrêts sur le chemin ont rendu cette excursion très complète. Et pour finir en beauté, le blue lagoon...
