The hotel and restaurant were so much more than we expected. Seeing the northern lights and walking across the street to view the geysers were an added bonus.

5 stars for everything. Amazing hotel, amazing room, amazing service, amazing location (near to the famous geyser) . You can see northern light from here.
Kudos to the complete team, always cheerful, always welcoming, always smiling, always ready to help. They have a fantastic restaurant with really delicate food and Adrian was an amazing host. Jessica helped us in getting our rooms with ease.
Cheers guys, keep up this wonderful hospitality.

Absoluut top hotel!!
Alles klopt hier hebben hier gegeten en dat was voortreffelijk wel extreem duur.
Je zit tegenover de geisers dus in de ochtend of nacht kan je er even in en dat is wel heel mooi zonder de massa toerisme.
Ontbijt is goed verzorgd niet bijzonder

The rooms were big and comfy, the best bed i’ve slept on and good showers.

The hotel, accommodation and location are all good, but the restaurant performance needs to be improved. We had reserved a table before we checked in. There were five people in our group, but when we ate, the table was very dark. Our table had no lights, and it looked like it was an extra table. This made people feel very uncomfortable. Comfortable. I don't know if this was racial discrimination or a surprise from the restaurant. I'm still confused to this day.

Ich habe im Litli Geysir Hotel übernachtet, sozusagen der kleine Bruder des luxuriösen Hotels nebenan. Es gab ein gratis Update des Zimmers. Die Dame an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich. Es gibt eine Bar im Litli Geysir, die bis Mitternacht geöffnet hat. In der Lobby gab es gratis Kaffee und Tee. Im Geysir Hotel befindet sich ein Restaurant, welches überragend gut ist. Die Qualität der Speisen, sowie die unaufdringliche aber extrem zuvorkommende Service sind einfach fantastisch.

Modern, beautiful and tastefully decorated hotel and restaurant. Very comfortable and relaxing. Right next to Geysers. Great location too. You can view the eruptions from the restaurant while having dinner.

Enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The lobby, rooms, and restaurant are all large and very nice. I like that the windows in the rooms have an alcove so you can sit there. We had dinner at the restaurant and got the chicken wings, lamb, and lava cake. They were expensive as expected, but the taste was good. The breakfast buffet was amazing. Huge selection, including sunny side up eggs, mini cream puffs and cakes, and freshly made geysir bread. Everything was delicious too.

Amazing hotel and restaurant with a Greek chef ! Quality of the food and recipes are 3 stars. The rooms are superb and what about the location literally in front of the geyser ! A must in Island

Excellent location across from Geysir. Comfortable beds. Excellent rainfall shower. Loved the window seat. Amazing dinner at the restaurant on site. Many options for breakfast. Aesthetically impressive overall design. Closet & coffee area could use a little more lighting. Easy check in & out. Glad I chose this for a one night stay.

Hotel Geysir was stop number 2 on our Icelandic adventure, and we loved every moment of our time here! The restaurant was fantastic for dinner, and the ambiance of the entire hotel/bar/restaurant were perfect. The breakfast buffet is wonderful as well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

There are really no words to describe how incredible this hotel is. We did a 10 day road trip around Iceland and this was by far our favourite accommodations of our entire road trip. WOW, WOW, WOW!! I only wish we had longer because this hotel is outstanding! The thought out design and decor is beautiful, we loved the rooms, beds were so comfortable, the location is superb and probably the highlight for us was the restaurant, the food and service are BEYOND!! Our dining experience was one for the books and the breakfast is also incredible, they have everything you could ask, the selection was immaculate.
I will make sure when I come back I get the chance to stay to here for more than 1 night, we were very sad to leave the next day.
Thank you Hotel Geysir!! Keep doing what you're doing because the overall guest experience is OUTSTANDING, bar none !!

Beautiful modern hotel. Well located. Rooms are comfortable but could so with better lighting. Restuarant and bar are cozy although the meal was rather average compared to other places we've eaten. Still a lovely stay.

Made a reservation for dinner here. We sat at a window table and could see part of the geysir go off! The service was excellent. All of the food was amazing! I really enjoyed the cod and langostine dish. My husband's blue ling was also very tasty. We were able to try reindeer pate, which was delicious. Would reccomend this place for dinner!

Would rate this with a zero if possible.
This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a hotel. Especially one that is rated as a luxury accommodation.
When asking for a manager, they stated that their was not one available.
I wrote this letter to management with no response. Do not, and I repeat, do not stay here.
Dear Alex [Hotel Management]:
Staying at the Hotel Geyser was supposed to be an amazing and memorable experience, but that did not go as planned. I proposed to my girlfriend earlier that day and booked a room to continue our celebration. From the beginning of check-in to the end of our stay, there were multiple issues that kept arising. Listed below, we will address these issues and express our dissatisfaction with our recent stay.
The premise and room:
First and foremost, upon entering the room, we were immediately struck by an alarm going off and trapped within the doors in the hallway. Another guest had to pry the doors open for us and help us with our luggage (this was not even offered during check-in). When approaching our room, the lights were out in the hallway and our room was unlocked. I prepaid for a bottle of prosecco waiting to be in the room when entering, but it was nowhere to be found. This completely made us feel unsafe and unwelcomed.
The service provided:
In addition to the issues of the premises and the room, we were also very disappointed with the guest services provided. The lack of knowledge and assistance when all of these issues raised were not taken care of in a professional or prompt matter. We decided to dine at the hotel for dinner that night, Friday September 1, 2023, hoping things would start looking up for us. We were sat at a table that had overhead lighting directly in our faces, additionally our server took 20 minutes to greet our table and when he did he noticed we were given an incorrect menu. Finally, we moved to another table and ordered a bottle of wine. The server then came over to our table and brought two bottles and was questioning our wine knowledge. He was putting my girlfriend and I on the spot to see if we were able to tell the difference between the bottles of wine - it was one of the strangest dining experiences I have ever encountered. We both ordered from the three course prix fixe menu - carrot ginger soup, braised beef with mashed potatoes, and dessert. Our soup and main course were cold and the description of the braised beef did not match what was plated.
The amenities:
Finally, we were disappointed with the amenities provided. The TV was not working (we tried troubleshooting for at least an hour) and when calling guest services to troubleshoot, the man on staff said that he could not fix it. When trying to take a bath the stopper was not working, and the water was coming out cold. Lastly, when trying to have a wakeup call for the Northern lights, the phone was not working.
In conclusion, our recent stay at your hotel was not up to our expectations. As stated on your website “we place great pride in our hotel and are pleased to welcome you here and ensure your stay will be pleasant and memorable.” The amount of money we spent on the hotel room and dinner did not reflect the standards you presented on your website and at your establishment. We would like a full refund for our accommodation and dinner. I hope that you will take our feedback into consideration and make the necessary improvements to ensure that future guests have a more enjoyable stay.

Amazing hotel. So well designed and stylish. The rooms were wonderful and clean and modern. The bar and restaurant were great. So many cozy places to sit and enjoy a cocktail. Service was great too. The staff were all international and very friendly and accommodating. The lobby is gorgeous!

We felt like royalty staying here. Beautiful space, comfortable rooms, and great food. A personal note on the service: I had some confusion when booking that they took care of with generosity and grace. If you want to feel really taken care of at your hotel, I recommend hotel Geysir. Shout out to Georgiana for being particularly kind to us.

This hotel definitely scores a 5⭐️ The facilities are magnificent. We spent hours playing cards in their sitting areas, off of the main lobby. Every team member was kind, easy to speak with and just had an overall happy demeanour.
Complementary breakfast with a nice variety of options. They offer a nighttime service that will call you if the Northern lights are active outside.
Everything set up here is done with environmentally friendly intentions top of mind. For example, the hallway lights turn off if no one is there, but when you step out they turn on right away. Their trash bins are divided in cardboard, plastic and waste, and when you leave the room and take the key, it automatically cuts all electricity off in your room… Super cool ???? I can’t say enough about this property.
Oh and the lady doing the Christmas decorating was lovely and did an amazing job!
