Ehdottomasti Saariselän alueen paras ravintola.
Hyvin ajateltu kokonaisuus miellyttävässä ympäristössä. Ei edullisin, mutta hinta-laatusuhde kohdallaan.
Sopii lomaviikolle sille illalle kun halutaan syödä vähän paremmin.

If you are into an exceptional wine selection and excellent interpretation of traditional food, you need to visit. Reserve a table and especially enjoy the outstanding service and the very creative wine suggestions. Thanks for the great evenings.

Great cuisine with quality products and an incredible wine list. The service is impeccable. We liked it so much that we returned the next day!

The only negative point is that on the second day there was a long wait, but it seems that it was because they had a problem in the kitchen. It's better to go early anyway.

The moose terdenloin and reinder shoulder surprised us, delicious! I definitely recommend trying it.

A very cosy restaurant with good food and service. You can chill by the fireplace while you wait for your meal, they'll turn the lights off of the Northern Lights are out, and the staff know their stuff.

Maria from Polaris Point Horses recommended this lovely restaurant to us. Fortunately, we followed the recommendation and enjoyed a wonderful dinner in a very authentic and beautiful ambience. The service was very attentive and conveyed a wonderful feeling of welcome with just the right amount of humor and charm. Never again lapland without a visit to laanilan kievari.

We had a fantastic meal! Such friendly people, delicious food (reindeer shoulder) and the beers and wines are great as well. Two days ago we had a pizza in Saariselkä city center. For the same price!!!! I would definitely recommend to have the 2 km walk and enjoy REAL food. Highly appreciated!

Päivän kala oli paistettua madetta, loistavaa. Alkupalaksi porosta carpaccio. Lähiruokaa taidolla tehtynä ja tarjottuna. Kannattaa varata illallinen etukäteen, sillä maine varmasti on jo kiirinyt etelään saakka.

Very familiar and professionell Service and personal. The atmosphere is warm and we felt very Welcome . We were seated at the big fireplace while the Kitchen prepeared our Food . The Food was very very fresh, delicous and local . The best Restaurante in Saariselkä

If you want to taste local delicacies prepared from high quality ingredients such us reindeer, moose, trout and mallard with excellent wines (I’d argue the best selection in town) this is year place to go. Run by a local family. Been coming here at least once a year and it never let’s down ❤️

Our plane was delayed so we arrived at our cabin late with nowhere to buy food. A 10-minute walk away was this delightful haven. We were warmly greeted, and after some superb advice, we enjoyed a very special meal. I would highly recommend.

Had gone there a few years ago, it was fantastic. The braised deer shoulder cooked by the chimney was to die for.

Wir genossen zuerst die Sauna mit Eisbaden in einer romantischen Winterlandschaft und liessen uns dann im Restaurant verwöhnen. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und haben uns gut beraten. Das Essen selbst war einfach köstlich! Es scheint als hätte der Koch wirklich Freude an seinem Beruf, die verschiedenen Gerichte waren in sich spannend und kulinarisch ein Genuss.

We were looking for places where to go and have a typical dinner eating local and we could not find anything better.
The food was delicious, the atmosphere great and the service even better.
The lady and the young guy described each course perfectly and they were always checking on us making sure everything was perfect. We totally recommend this restaurant, looking forward to coming back :)

If you’re in the area, this place is a go-to. Get the reindeer shoulder - it’s so worth it! Coming from the states I was a little nervous this would be too gamey for me: it’s not at all. It’s cooked on an open fire right in front of you and served with mashed potatoes and veggies. This place has a great atmosphere and the waiter was really nice! 10/10 would recommend coming here for a great dinner. If you haven’t tried reindeer meat, this is a perfect spot to try it!

This place is a must if you’re nearby Saariselkä. Amazing ambiance, excellent service, and the best food I’ve had in this area. The owner was awesome and guided us through an extremely pleasant evening. The mushroom soup and fire roasted reindeer shoulder were the stars of the show but everything was honestly top notch. They have an extensive wine menu as well. Can’t speak highly of this place enough.

The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and takes pride in locally and sustainably made cuisine. Excellent quality and variety. Extensive wine list but don’t sleep on the cocktails!

If you’re in the area this is a must go! As soon as we walked in the door we knew we hot a gem. We were greeted with kindness and welcomed as if we were home. The cozy restaurant has a small table in front of an open fire where we enjoyed very delicious cocktails until our appetizers came out. The food was OUTSTANDING. We had mushroom soup and cured reindeer meat served with tomatoes prepared 3 different ways. Both delicious!! Then our main courses: pan seared mallard and reindeer tenderloin. Both cooked to perfection. The chef came out to greet us and was a joy to speak with and learn more about the food and preparations. Don’t skip dessert and ask about their special hot cocktails which are also delicious. They are only open. Short while longer and then will close until the season picks up. If you are in town…definitely go visit. You will not be disappointed. We loved it so much, we are actually going back tomorrow to enjoy some dishes we missed.

The service is outstanding. Cute and cozy atmosphere. Can’t go wrong.
