L'hôtel le plus haut du pays, à 3 500 m d'altitude ! Construit en 1937 il fut complètement rénové en 2014. Une vingtaine de chambres modernes et confortables (avec wifi, télévision...), un bar, un restaurant et bien sûr les eaux thermales. Un refuge de grand luxe en quelque sorte. Les inconvénients sont le froid en raison de l'altitude et l'accès, à plus d'une heure de Manizales avec une partie en piste.

I did not have a pleasant experience! The hotel is relatively new to my understanding in its current edition, but has low construction standards and poor design. First of the hotel is not heated up enough. It is just cold in the lunch area and lobby. The rooms are heated with electric heater that makes a lot of noise and does not work well. For an hotel that seats on top of a hot geothermal spring to be cold seems a bit strange. There was an issue with the hot water in my room. A trickle of water semi hot. Very annoying.
My room was tiny, really tiny.
Food is ok even thought not consistent. I ordered the same dish day after day and the quality was different.
Birding around the property is not so great either. The Shiny sunbeam has taken over the feeders and it mostly them to photograph if you are into that
Also the hotel is next to a park where you can photograph the Buffy helmetcrest hummingbird. Keep in mind it’s at 4000 m height, foggy a lot of the times and there is a good chance not to see even one bird. We were lucky(so I was told), and we saw one individual bird on one perch.
One final good word, the location is beautiful with 2 major waterfalls and a couple of nice large hot mineral spring tubs in the very nicely kept garden.
