Nonobstant un problème de chambre non faite pendant notre séjour (panneau soit disant tombé ou repositionné du mauvais côté !) nous avons apprécié notre séjour, la chambre isolée dans la cour a un charme désuet. Les petits déjeuners étaient parfaits et variés.

Quiet, charming and perfect.
Wanting to visit a city from the
Middle Ages, there was no question; the hotel needed to be from the Middle Ages too! This was definitely one of those. Probably not a level floorboard anywhere, but that’s a huge part of the charm.

Breakfast restaurants round the corner, about 200m to the main Markt and heaps and heaps of nice restaurants in short walking distance. We just loved it!!!

Ausgezeichnete Lage, man ist sehr schnell im historischen Zentrum.
Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilft gerne bei Fragen.
Die Zimmer sind ordentlich und schön eingerichtet.

Bonjour,
2 jours en couple dans cet hôtel, style ancien et chaleureux, moi j aime.
Le personnel accueillant et parlent notre langue.
La salle du petit déjeuner est à la hauteur du buffet. Bien et copieux.
Les parkings de Bruges sont chers, la ville est propre est très jolie. A faire !

Rooms are outdated and okay at best. The biggest downfall this place has is the inadequate breakfast for the price they charge. €25 for measly buffet food that isn’t even made in house is comical. They hide the sign that they charge for breakfast hidden against a wall that you cannot see until after the you leave the breakfast room, not before you enter. They also don’t tell you ahead of time when checking in. So if you are traveling to multiple hotels you have to magically remember if each place will charge for breakfast extra. Additionally, if you happen to book a few months in advance, they don’t send a confirmation email at all. Pay extra, save money and go somewhere else

My stay at Martin’s Relais was truly delightful. From the moment I arrived, the staff welcomed me with warm hospitality, making me feel right at home. The hotel’s facilities exuded charm and coziness, creating a lovely atmosphere throughout my stay. The exceptional cleanliness of the room was immediately apparent, and I appreciated the attention to detail in maintaining such high standards. Overall, my experience at Martin’s Relais surpassed all expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Burgas. I can’t wait to return!

Beautiful historic building, but the best part of this hotel is the location and service. It’s a quiet location but it’s just a few minutes walk away from the main square and the shops & restaurants.
Service was superb throughout our stay.
The room was huge with super high ceilings and huge windows. We had a room overlooking the canal which was definitely worth it. The only negative was the shower over the bath which was not the best / not very comfortable to use.
The hotel is a lovely historic & atmospheric property with lots of old world charm.

El hotel es muy bonito y cálido, pero la atención no tanto, llegamos sobre las 12 a hacer el check-in, sabíamos que hasta las 15 no era oficialmente la hora, pero habíamos recibido un email al respecto en el que decía que muy probablemente podríamos hacerlo antes. No fué así, pero la forma radical de las recepcionista al comunicárnoslo no fué muy amable. Al menos sí tienen una habitación para dejar tus cosas.
La otra cosa que nos ha decepcionado es el servicio de limpieza, el primer día limpiaron, pero el segundo día dejamos la habitación a las 10 con el cartel y no la limpiaron. Simplemente dejaron colgada una bolsa con las toallas limpias enel pomo de la habitación.
Para rematar, el tercer día hicimos el check-out a las 11. Pero nos hicieron abonar 3€ más porque, al cobrarnos en el check-in (pagamos en efectivo), no habían hecho bien "las cuentas" y debiamos abonar 3€ más.... Nos ha parecido ridículo y cutre.
En fin... Agridulce la experiencia.

Great views and location but bad service. It’s supposedly a 4 star hotel and we certainly paid 4 star price but it didn’t feel that way. I received a message on Agoda saying based on availability, early check-in may be possible and to ask at reception if our room was ready before 3pm. Great! Except when I arrived the receptionist rudely exclaimed that early check in was impossible! They never do that! I understand if the room wasn’t ready because there was no guarantee, but she basically spoke to me like I was an idiot and that I must have been mistaken about being offered early check in. Day two we put out the “make up our room” sign and we came back to a bag full of clean towels hanging off the doorknob. I guess they just decided they didn’t have time to clean the room? We were gone all day, we left well before the room service started and came back after dinner. Upon check out the receptionist told us his coworker made a mistake with the check in price and that we owed 3€. Really not a huge deal but it was just a further reminder we weren’t getting anything close to 4 star service, from check in to check out.

Très bel hôtel ! Décoré avec soin pour les fêtes de noël. On s'y sent vraiment bien. Le personnel est très accueillant et chaleureux, merci beaucoup ! Le petit déjeuné est très qualitatif, nous avons adoré. Aussi l'hôtel est très bien situé. Il se trouve à proximité du centre ville, c'est parfait. Merci pour tout !

This was our third stay in the hotel, having visited each time for the Christmas markets. We always liked the location which is quiet but only a short walk from the centre of Bruges. On this occasion we were in the three rooms, in the courtyard, just outside the entrance to the hotel. These were quirky but pleasant. The breakfast is expensive for what it is - the toaster should be replaced with a more efficient model - but it is convenient to eat in the hotel and there is a good selection. The cleaning of the room was not to a particularly high standard - it looked as though only the bed had been made - nothing else in the room had been touched, including two dirty glasses which sat where they had been left.

My reason for the low rating is what occurred at the end of our stay. 1.5 hours after leaving I realised I had left my diamond earrings in the room. I immediately called the hotel who said they would check the room. I then realised I had taken pictures of the room just before checkout and one happened to show the earrings on the mantelpiece, I emailed this to the hotel and called them back. They stated that the earrings were nowhere to be found. I was quite shocked and surprised and expressed my confusion and dismay (the earrings were of both sentimental and monetary value). Perhaps I was naive but I could not understand how they had vanished from the room entirely when the room was left locked and only hotel staff had entered after.

The response from the staff I spoke to was cold bordering on rude. I emailed the hotel manager after I got home and never received a reply. The local police took the matter seriously and sent someone round to question the staff (for which I was grateful) but they could do nothing further as the hotel insisted the earrings could not be found.

The whole experience left me very disappointed and sad, we will not be returning.

Great location in city centre. Hotel has a lot of old charm to it, and rooms are spacious and comfortable. Check in and out was easy with friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again

El hotel es antiguo, pero lo mantienen en buenas condiciones , la ubicación es perfecta, habitación era grande , el personal a todas horas era atento y la vista increíble. Me gustó mucho ... A primera vista decepciona pero luego le encuentras su encanto.
