This is a place I crave often and dream about. Love the food, natural wine, the people that work here, and the vibe.

There’s paid meter street parking on Sunset. The meters stop at 8 PM.

THE DISAPPOINTMENT
they charge $10 per person if you bring your own cake to celebrate a birthday dinner. I’ve never heard this in my entire life especially the per person charge. So disappointing that we couldn’t celebrate a special birthday here.

THE SERVICE
I feel it could’ve been better with a little bit more empathy and meaningful customer service. A particular server just didn’t care by the word choices used.

THE FOOD
Great food the pork belly was amazing, brussels sprouts, shrimp pad thai, Nam khao Tod, panang, and pad see ew gai.

THE AMBIENCE
lights were very low dimmed during the night pack spot, clean bathrooms, and a very hipster vibe

Overall, the food was awesome but the service and that excessive birthday charge, took it over the top and ruined the mood for our entire party.

What can you say? It was such a fun time, service was quick and knowledgeable. Food came out fast and was SOO GOOD, im still thinking about it. Definitely get the crispy rice dish (i forgot the name). Had the special for Lunar New Year. I wish the bathrooms were a bit cleaner but thats life. If i was closer id go back today!

Food was good but a bit too spicy for my tolerance, employees were nice but seemed understaffed or didn't check in as often as I'm used to - we had to flag them down a couple times. There was definitely an atmosphere but it was a bit too dim/loungey for a restaurant kind of setting. The tables were all a little too close together/too many for the space and my friend was hitting the bead curtain we were sat next to lol

Every dish other than the mango stick rice was too salty. The flavor was realy good if they could cut salt use by half.

Great Thai restaurant in LA! The colorful decor adds to the atmosphere which is kitschy and inviting. The food is delicious and served family style. The sweet potato massaman curry is creamy with a kick of heat and the crispy roti that comes with it is perfect! Definitely want to come back to try other items.

Love places like that that you know you cant replicate at home unless you have roots from the origins of the country. This Curry here was absolutely heavy with flavor & blend of veggies

Coming all the way to L.A. for the most disappointing pad Thai I’ve ever had. Dry, bland, overly sweet, overpriced. I’ve had pad Thai in the middle of nowhere for like $8 that’s a million times better. Seriously? I feel f-ing robbed. How do you mess up such a simple dish? Pathetic.

*Reviewing as a vegetarian*

Dishes ordered: massaman curry, papaya salad

Beware of the spice!! I’m Indian and the “mild” killed me. So if you can’t handle spice, get everything with no spice (and even then they add a little).

The flavours are very intense but delicious. The massaman curry was salty but tasty. Papaya salad is lovely (minus the intense spice).

The service is outstanding though. The staff is very sweet, they take their time explaining the menu and they take care of you. When I was literally dying from the spice, they got me a bunch of things to help me feel better and then replaced the dish with a milder version.

My only complaint is that they don’t make pad thai without fish sauce :(

I will go back for sure.

Amazing food! Very tight squeeze as you are elbow to elbow with other diners. I love the larb gai and papaya salad. The Khao soi jay is vegan and isn’t as good as a traditional khao soi Gai.

Ah I keep going back here for their world-famous fried chicken sandwich but I love their ambiance and other dishes like curry and fried shrimp. They also have great service. Their servers are always so nice and friendly.

Very vibey place for good Thai food. Be prepared to queue for quite a while during peak hours. We queued for an hour on a Saturday evening.

Lovely if you don’t mind eating in dark and loud places. Personally, I reserve that environment for the club and not for when I’m trying to have a meal and enjoy conversation ???? the fired chicken sandwich was divine. Good level of spice. Friendly and helpful servers.

Our dinner should have be illegal and needed health warnings. Sierously. It's 24 hour later and we both have the worst salt hangover we've ever experienced in our lives. We feel awful. The entire day feels as if my eyes and throat have been coated with ocean water.

Service was fun, the place was festive as usual, and sadly the food was so buried with a Mt. Everest amount of salt (and sugar) that you have to wonder. Just an awful experience that leaves us feeling angry and sick. Literally sick. Wasted an entire Sunday trying to recover from it... headaches, dry throat, etc.

What's the joy of eating that sort of cuisine?? It was never like this at Night + Market. It will be my last time.

The best Thai food I have ever had in Los Angeles, excellent vibe, flavors hit hard and the spice levels are great even for the most willing of spice fiends. Recommend this to anyone who loves Thai. Was a favorite of Anthony Bourdain and now is a favorite of mine.

Ordered take out and it took 1 hour when they told me 30 mins. Food is decent and the restaurant seems super packed with people waiting outside. Personally I’m not sure if it’s worth it if you aren’t a local. But seems super popular so I might be the anomaly.

Ordered the chicken pad see ew…so gross. Chicken had bones and lots of fat so constantly spitting out pieces. None of our tables food came out at the same time, 25 minutes from when the first person was served to the last. Music way too loud but decent decor inside.

Everything was unbelievably delicious — and if it says it’s a spicy dish… IT’S SPICY! You have been forewarned!! Even the waitstaff recommended we take the spicy level down a bit, just in case.
It is a little loud inside the dining room, head’s up. But the rave-atmosphere in the bathroom made it up for me.

This place gets a lot of hype as it is a Thai fusion place with a buzzy hip kinda vibe. For what it is (i.e., Thai food for white ppl) it is honestly quite good. Food quality is great, flavors are quite bold (their default spicy will kick you in the face), price is decent, and the portions are generous. They also serve a wide selection of wines and of course Singha beer. It's a great option for hanging with your friends with solid food in a chic and fun atmosphere that's a step up from your typical Thai joint in Thai Town.

Good food but not a very friendly staff…
They literally want to make you feel that they are the bosses and that you are privileged to be their guest…
I’m not sure I want to keep coming back to a place like this one… Too bad…

It’s probably the best Thai food I’ve had. Only wish they’re less salty. Such rich flavors and fun experiences.

Foods great, just dont recommend getting takeout if you’re time sensitive or don’t have time to double check your order. Forgot half of our order and made us wait 30 min more than they said it would take.

I’ve had a lot of Thai food in my life and this is far and away the best and most interesting. Truly fresh, truly delicious, truly unique and inventive, and truly spicy. Great value for the area as well. Spectacular wine list. Hope to come back soon.
