The food was delectable and distinctive, and the service was great. The tahdig/persian crispy rice and the roasted maitake mushrooms were our favorites of the night. My boyfriend and I thought that some dishes could tone down on the acidity (like the carrot side dish). Overall, it was a solid dinner, and we would certainly be back to try the other offerings and the dessert menu.
We had a few with dietary restrictions and they were able to accomodate for this as well.
Honestly, food was overrated and super expensive. We told them we didn’t love it, and they only comp’d for the rice. It’s honestly overrated, would’ve felt better if they actually recognized that it wasn’t a pleasant experience for us. I wouldn’t go there again, this is my first review in my life - think about the velocity of that statement
Three of us spent $270+ and probably 5% of the food was actually satisfying.
Cucumbers- this is a great dish to start the meal. It is super light and refreshing, loved the zatar seasoning.
Lemony chicken pies- these pies are puff pastry stuffed with lemony chicken and pine nuts, super delicious!
Carrots- the carrots were super smoky with Moroccan spices. The sweetness of the carrots paired nicely with the spice, incredible dish!
Chile Chicken Skewers- the chicken was very moist and flavorful. Each order comes with 2 skewers, I could’ve definitely had more!
Persian Crispy Rice- this was my dish of the night. I’ve never had anything like it. The rice was buttery and had good texture with the crisped rice on the top. The rice was topped with currants and pumpkin seeds, a must have!
Overall, loved my time here. I can definitely see why it is a Michelin bib gourmand rated restaurant!
咁當然唔合我口味喇,雖然生意不錯,但係我真係唔識欣賞。
Then, after a 4% surcharge for Employee Health, the waitstaff hands you an iPad to select a tip. The pre-selected options are 20%/25%/30%. Very bold, in my opinion, for service that isn’t extraordinary!
Big recommend.
