Every time I visit Santa Barbara, I make a point to have at least one meal at Brophy Bros. I love the cioppino, and my wife swooned over the fish and chips. This place is popular, so expect to wait if you go during prime times. Also, if you can, get an outside table, preferably upstairs so you can enjoy the view.

Local hallowed ground on the Santa Barbara waterfront. Loved by the community and sought out by the tourists to our area. Friendly familiar faces and consistently good food, drinks and service. You have to get the GBC's as an app!

We went to Brophys primarily for the chowder and a beautiful sunset. Well, we got the soup at least. Lol. We did not realize, but all of the windows were facing the east, unfortunately, so we only had dinner and wine. This place was really happening and obviously a very coveted establishment. Make reservations or come early and put your name in. All the young servers were on top of everyone's needs. Great job, guys.

Get a reservation here way ahead of time if you are traveling here, or get there before 4:30. Such. Good. Food. Yes Santa Barbara has a plethora of seafood, AND Brophys knows how to do it right. Tender mussels in garlic broth, fresh warm bread, chunky clam chowder, All delicious. Hubby had the choppino, full of seafood, I had the sea bass, tender, flaky, dusted with spice, drawn butter.. we ate every bite while gazing out at the harbor and ocean beyond. Too stuffed for dessert, we opted to walk along ledbetter beach right next to it. Gorgeous evening in SB.

We started with a bowl of Clam Chowder, which was very big, and delicious with plenty of clam and potatoes, with a thick consistency. But was disappointed with the tuna melt, a bit salty and the fries were way over cooked, though the coleslaw was good.

Ate lunch here on the outside deck. Food was very good and nice portions, not very expensive either. Highly recommend checking this place out. Great views!!!

Uodating my opinion 3/30/24

Waited forty minutes to seat. Were told no one can hold seats but a family missing half their party held there extra seats, at the bar which we would have loved to have the entire time. We asked the party, then the hostess, then the manager. Manager was short and rude and said she didn't know why there were allowed to save the spots.
As manager, tall lady with blondish hair, instead of being rude to us, maybe you should have found out. So the. We left and went to Anchor Rose.
And sadly probably won't ever come back to your unorganized and discriminating staff.
Manager needs training. Good thing you can operate on past great reputation.

Always a great place to enjoy anything on the side variety menu. I feel it is truly worth the wait to eat on the covered upper deck and enjoy the beautiful views. We had excellent wait staff, and I will be sure to ask for Pam next time we get to go!

Very quiet in the downstairs, pub room, but lack of atmosphere was more than compensated by the quality of the clam chowder especially, but also by the excellent fish and chips. A good selection of local craft beers also available. We shall return.

Rice pilaf taste a little odd but salmon tasted great! Complimentary bread was good. Gets really busy, so reservations is needed to sit sooner.

They do not have wheelchair access so it’s a no go for people who are wheelchair users.

Small restaurant nestled right off of the fisher men’s dock. Watch fresh fish get pulled from the boats while enjoying some seafood cuisine. TIGHT quarters, plan to arrive early if you want to get a spot.

I ordered the seafood pasta however, the fish and chips and clam chowder were the tables favorite !
