Located a couple blocks from downtown Palm Springs, the Avalon has well kept, lovely grounds, great salt water pools, lots of lounge chairs and good views of mountains. The service is top notch. Some of the amenities are amazing - Aesop products and nice sheets. But some of the "boutique" finishes seem hurried and unrealized. Lighting in bath could be better, maybe some magnifying mirrors.

Excellent and attentive customer service from poolside to room service to valet to front desk. As mentioned in many prior reviews, the rooms are in dire need of upgrading, especially for the price point charged per room. Cody and Candice were very helpful in ensuring we were well taken care of during our stay and resolved any issues we had to our satisfaction. Beautiful grounds.

The distressed maintenance and wear and tear on the property are so noticeable. Not worth the nightly price. I was extremely disappointed in the hotel.

We stayed at the Avalon Hotel from Friday-Tuesday and the service was exceptional throughout. The highlights were definitely the (adults only) Regency Pool, service from the staff at Chi Chi (special shout out Eloy and Brian!), and the Avalon massage at Estrella Spa.

Thank you for an amazing time Avalon Palm Springs—we are definitely looking forward to visiting again.

We enjoy our staying there very much. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The Chichi restaurant onsite provides healthy and delicious organic foods! The other restaurant in the sister property is very nice too. We tried both and love them. Like the hot tub onsite. Wish we had try the massage????

My wife and I stayed at this resort for couple of days in February. Couldn’t use their small outdoor pools or hot tubs because the weather was cold.They did not show our massage appointment in their system when we got there, even though we booked it a month in advance and showed them the e-mail confirmation. There is only one outdoor hot tub in their “so called” spa. Their lobby and restaurant are very small. We had to either park on the street with the limited space or valet parking. Overall this resort is not worth spending that much money. The only positive thing was that the staff were very nice and friendly.

Love the jacuzzi outside the spa!
The bungalow was so thoughtfully appointed. Definitely worth the price!
Aris at the front desk and John at ChiChi’s went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and worth repeating!

This hotel is set in a residential neighborhood which makes finding parking almost impossible but valet service is included in the 50 dollar per night resort fee (big deal right). The room looked like it had been decorated about 30 years ago and we were on the 2nd story to which we had to climb steps to our room as we certainly couldn't find an elevator. No bellman appeared to be working in this hotel so had to hike from the lobby, almost in the dark halfway across the property. A very disappointing experience. There are much better choices in the Oalm Sorings area. I would suggest one if them.

Bungalows with 3 pools, restaurant and bar. Family and pet friendly. Beautiful grounds close to everything and very walkable. Brian and Eloy will take great care of you by the pool.

My wife and I loved our stay here. The grounds were very cute and extremely comfortable. I loved the offering of the many pools they had on site. The staff was exceptionally nice, and we felt like we were very well taken care of. One of my favorite parts is the proximity to downtown. Usually when we travel, we rent a car. In this case there was no need to. Everything was in walking distance. The food at the hotel was great and I just thought everything was exceptional. We will be back. Thank you Avalon!

Really enjoyed my time here on behalf of Venture X’s premier collection. Denise was wonderful and helped me through a few things. Room was clean and pool was lovely. Gym could use a little more work. But still overall 5 stars

It's not just the place, it's the people, from the front desk staff, the food and beverage manager, the bar tenders, the staff throughout the proprerty in general. Only found this place about two years ago, but have enjoyed it so much, I've been back like 6 times. The staff is exceptional, everyone is so nice and accommodating. The facilities are both well maintained and offer a variety of activities and venues to enjoy the serene and hip atmosphere. The restaurant has a core menu of delights and seasonal items that never disappoint. And the bar is great and offers some great house cocktails that are not to be missed.

This hotel is nice but the guy at the front desk is very rude with his smart remarks. I checked in late at night and ask for late checkout as a Titanium member and he said check in the morning. From my experience as all hotels tell me pls ask for late checkout upon checking in so the staff knows how to book the room for the incoming guests. This guy said check early in the morning. I drove many hours so was tired and woke at 11 so the same guy happen to be at the reception and rudely said should have came early in the morning, rudely as his personally may be the way it is but I won’t accept his smart remarks. The WiFi in the hotel also cuts in and out most of the time but the location and hotel is just nice.

We had a great stay for our company retreat! The rooms were chic and modern, the pools were relaxing and fun and the grounds were peaceful, pretty, and well maintained. The location is hard to beat too - just a short walk to shopping and dining and a quick drive to hiking at Indian Canyon.

Stayed at Avalon after doing tons of research on where to stay for a solo trip and it exceeded my expectations! I felt super comfortable being there as a woman traveling alone, and being so close to downtown made exploring, even at night, easy. The hotel is really cute and my room was thoughtfully updated. I loved having multiple pools to hang out at and the gym was really nice too! The staff was really attentive and kind. The food and drinks were good. Highly recommend staying here!

Rooms are below average and not well kept. The shower and sink drains had issues with clogging. The shower head fell off during a shower and the shower drain didnt work therefore the water would rise and over flow. Paint chipping on walls and furniture. Not worth the rate at all!

Beautifully kept grounds, comma cute decor in rooms, clean, comfy bed, great dimmable lighting in room, Pools are nice and clean and the perfect temperature, jaccuzzi located near the spa had amazingly strong jets so Warm and relaxing! Food and drink by the pool is great and pool service is excellent even the valets are sweet and welcoming! We are going to make this our yearly anniversary trip from now on ! And we were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed!

Very disappointed with this hotel. I was so excited to stay here and we booked two nights for our anniversary and end up leaving after the 1st night. The grounds are beautiful but the room was unacceptable for $400+/night. It’s the smallest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. There is no place to hang your clothes, the restroom is extremely tiny with zero counter space and a claustrophobic shower. The lights were flickering the entire time. When we told them about the lights, their solution was to just remove (not replace) all the lights that were flickering. The staff by the pool and bar were wonderful and so sweet but it’s not worth the stay. Stop by for some food and drinks to see the property but don’t stay here.
