I wanted to write this review to commend an employee who went above and beyond to help my fiancé and I. A few weeks ago we had come into The Ranch to enjoy some cocktails outside. The Pantry (outdoor) restaurant was full so we sat on a fire-pit placed by the first tee. We were freezing cold and someone came up to us and offered to light the firepit for us so we could get warm. We were so grateful for his help! He told us his name was Chris and he is the supervisor inside The Harvest Restaurant. He asked us if we needed anything else and we joked we would like some cocktails from inside the Harvest restaurant, and he asked us if we really did, he could help us. He asked us what kind of alcohol we like, we told him Mezcal and he recommended us The Green Bogie I think it was called. Chris ended up brining us out each a cocktail and gave us the check then and there. We were so grateful for Chris, and his exceptional service will hopefully be recognized.
We realized he didn’t have to do any of the things that he did, which is why we think he deserves to be commended. I hope The Ranch knows how valuable of an employee they have. Thank you Chris!
We booked a canyon room and they chose to give the one closest to the parking lot and away from the views when half the property was empty. There were several rooms that had a pool view or a garden view but nope, they just had to give us the one closest to the parking lot. 1/5
The room itself is gorgeous however please note the following - for $600 room rate there is no coffee machine, not even a nespresso or a Mr. Coffee. No heated floors (Senza in Napa Valley had heated bathroom floors for the price range and nespresso).
.
.
The room tv doesn’t come with Netflix platforms or AirPlay or google cast options. This is a $600 room.
.
They were thoughtful enough to give us robes and foot ware for the cold wooden floors. (Wooden tile floors are for the bathroom btw)
.
.
They say there is a pool bar but they don’t have government authorizations to serve drinks and food in the pool.
.
.
Sycamore spa is a third party run spa and is always booked through their independent system, so good luck getting a reservation. The reservation needs to be made independently and the staff can do nothing about it.
.
.
The stone fire pits have a $200 deposit ???? which will be used towards drinks and food apparently.
.
.
So what can you do here -
The pool and walk to the Laguna Beach, get drinks and coffee! But other exciting amenities are hardly available. So good luck!!!!
.
.
The lost pier fire pits are $85 rental but no booze allowed on the beach.
The water pressure in the bathroom are extremely intense.

Ok ✅ that’s it..
Replying to the water kettle and selection of coffees per the management, I’m not camping nor living in a tent to drink a cup steeped bag coffee. Thanks!
Is in my top 3 favorite hotels
It’s a gem tucked away, nestled in the canyons; lovely spa, salt water pool/hot tub , restaurant with excellent live music
I always feel like I’m coming home ♥️
