Avis MOTEL 6 San Diego

Absolutely a real joke for a hotel that offers non-smoking rooms and non-smoking facility. You walked down the hallway and you smell nothing but cigarettes and marijuana. Management has no appreciation of any guest to address these matters when I stayed her numerous times . If a person who is very sensitive to smoking Don’t waste your energy staying here. The general manager is very good of giving lip service to hotel Guest.

This place sucks!!! I never stayed in a motel 6 that was as bad as this one ... dirty floors, Marijuana smell inside the rooms, my room didn't have a TV, the shower was dirty and ruined down, hair from other guest from all over the place, towels with blood, homeless, druggys at the entrance of the hotel I mean... this was one of the worst experiences at motel 6 I can had. I'll never ever come back. And besides all of that they charge me 120 bucks for that filthy room ????

Okay so I am updating a review I had left 3 years ago because Google isn't letting me add a new one.
First of all I have stayed at this motel 6 several times over the past years. The most recent stay would have to be the worse one, I guess alot can drastically change from the last stay, first of all there is new construction going on in what use to be the BIGGER side of the parking lot is now only the little section, upon checking in the indian lady at the front desk told me I would have to pay $10 per night for my car I told there aren't any sign or notifications upon booking that I would have to pay even tho I had already booked my room, she said there are signs posted that we had to pay but I took the liberty of snapping a few pictures because I seen NONE. My second concern the area hasn't gotten a little worse there are people dealing drugs right outside of the motel hanging out, crackheads screaming and yelling at each other didn't make me feel safe walking my animals out to use the restroom. Lastly I paid for a premium non smoking room, upon entering I noticed a smell, I step out took my dogs to let them use the restroom because the front desk was busy as soon as I can back i let the front desk know, she said there wasn't anything that could be done because the cleaners had already left and the only thing she could do was spray it with something, there was know way the spray would have made it any better, another concerning this was the that the tub had some red stains that they covered with a towel lol....idk man
I know motel 6 isn't the best but this has sure gotten worse not sure if it's the change of management but honestly they could do alot better...

Not bad....... came to San Diego for the weekend, needed a quick spot to stay for the night. Rooms are small but serviceable, location is close to the bars, restaurants, nightclubs etc. Parking is limited, so there's another parking lot not far from the Hotel but be expecting to pay. The homeless tend to lurk outside of the hotel but security was present. Although I overpaid a bit, you can find cheaper rates online. Again this place isn't the best but I was satisfied with what i payed for, I'd still recommend booking a room here for a last minute stay in SD.

The lady at the front desk told me. After I've already paid $97. I could have gotten a lower price $78 if I would have paid online. And then when I was about to give the review. I was having trouble pulling it up. So I handed her my phone and she gave herselfive stars across-the-board. And before I can even see or change anything she already pressed Submit on my phone. But everything else was great. The room was great. Even around the location, they keep it pretty clean. I come here all the time it's a wonderful place is other than Yesterday it's normally a wonderful place. Normally it's really good service just that particular lady. I'm not sure about

I just wanted some rest and the people next door to me where having a big party I called the front desk to see if they could maybe bring to the person/persons awareness that there are other people around and be considerate however that didn't work at all. All night people partying getting high banging on the wall etc, it's bad enough that the air unit didn't work in any of there rooms now I wasn't going to get any sleep this motel 6 is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at only drug addicts stay here mostly makes it very uncomfortable to hear the noise and sell the drugs being used Very disappointing.

I think they are all thieves. Don't leave anything of value in room. Maintenance man stole $200.00 in electronics. I caught him, he admitted it, and told me there's nothing I can do about it. And I guess he was right. Manager did " NOTHING" Boycott this motel for your own good. 2nd and Beach. Down town San Diego. Also, the place is a filthy.

I checked in and stayed for 8 nights and Yesenia, the front desk manager, was awesome! She was super helpful, always had fresh, hot coffee in the mornings. I recommend coming here if you’re in San Diego and looking for something affordable!

I mean, this is a city. So a 2 star hotel will never be over the top and amazing. But... This location. Yesenia, the manager, helped me out so much when I got into town. Spectacular. Give this girl a RAISE!!!

I was given a very dirty and smelly room on the ground level. I asked to be moved to newer and renovated room upstairs which was much better, but every sheet and towel was covered with stains. They don't have basic necessities, no toiletries or personal care stuff, shampoo, toothpaste, slippers, hair dryer, nada! The windows have not been cleaned for decades. Blanket was too small/thin, and not covered properly, I asked for an extra one and they gave me a fitted sheet instead, and again uncovered. Very unhygienic over all. It looked like that the lobby is a hang out place for the homeless people in the morning, but I could be wrong. I would not return.

However, the staff, including the manager, are very nice and polite.

Be careful with this place they are scammers if you book with this people a room with two beds they gladly take your money but when you get there is only one bed and they will not give you a refund you will have to contact your bank to let them know the situation or lose your money. This place will not give you a refund

Had to ask for new towels four times before I managed to get possibly the one and only non stained or damaged towel in the entire facility. The AC takes like two hours to come on and the only other temperature option is burning hot. The shower curtain was literally falling apart. We spilled coffee on the sheets one morning and left them outside to be replaced; I still had to go to the front desk in the evening to request new sheets and change them myself, and the mattress cover was clearly covered in various other mystery stains. There was hair and toe nail clippings on the floor when we checked in so it obviously wasn’t cleaned entirely. The vending machine stole my money??

I realize this isn’t a 5 star hotel, but come on? I’ve stayed in a lot of motels over the years and this has to be the worst one. I guess the location is fine and you’ll be within walking distance to popular areas, but I don’t even think it’s worth it.

Motel 6 San Diego downtown has terrible customer service and communication. After an error in my travel date at time of booking using their direct website, I contacted them 3 times via email and made multiple calls they were unresponsive. Even after contacting the motel 6 group, I did not receive a response from the property which resulted I me losing the entire cost of my stay.
This motel’s management and staff provided no flexibility or understanding of this situation.

I canceled my reservation and it's almost 2 months and i have not received my money

For the downtown area this hotel is the least expensive yet it's a clean, decent place to stay. It's your best value hotel if staying downtown

It's In Nice Area Of the City

Man u short on luck and need a pick me up with great service check this spot out!!!!!! Keep ya head up!
